Eze from QPR in January would be a brilliant signing, get in quick because the lads price is going up weekly.

07 Aug 2019 12:33:30
Rodrigo link got any weight behind it or made up?

12 Jul 2019 07:54:24
Are we about to see another Wesley type signing where no ones knows it's coming until it's more or less done. Apparently a 15M fee with Man City has been agreed for Douglas Luiz. Some of you may remember they signed him last year but couldn't get him a work permit so he went out on loan to Girona, apparently work permit isn't an issue now, so we're bringing him in as the CDM. A bit annoying they've input a buy back option so if he's any good they'll take him back, but in Purslow and Dean we trust. Love how they are just destroying all the fake ITK's.

1.) 12 Jul 2019 09:07:27
Douglas Luiz bargain of the summer?
Apparently highly regarded by Pep so must be good.

2.) 12 Jul 2019 09:29:50
This a great signing did well in spanish league and pep rates him cb also in today aswell fee agreed for winger just need gk, n striker.

3.) 12 Jul 2019 10:24:15
Looks a good addition to be fair even though I know nothing about him really .

Guillem Balague the Spanish reporter says this guy is class and to be honest he know a thing or too about players .

Only disappointing thing is the buy back clause, but hey just shows how highly thought of he is by Man City.

11 Jul 2019 10:21:20
Konsa in, that's 2 players for every position along the back 4 now, brilliant work.

If they can follow this up with a keeper, defensive midfielder, winger and a striker I think we'd be set for a solid season.

My picks would be Butland, Phillips, Trezeguet or Harry Wilson and Maupay.

1.) 11 Jul 2019 10:57:11
According to BM Villa have persuaded Trezeguet‘s club to let him leave.
Another one on the way to Villa Park?

2.) 11 Jul 2019 11:05:58
But they’re all championship players.

3.) 11 Jul 2019 11:47:36
I have heard Villas offer for Trezeguet is £9.9m.

4.) 11 Jul 2019 12:16:04
Is that sour grapes because the Dingles didn’t get Konsa Vino? 🤷🏼‍♂️ Looking at YouTube of him there’s a hell of a lot of ‘Welcome to Wolves’ comments 🤔

5.) 11 Jul 2019 12:34:38
The dingles really are upset at the minute, can’t see why, it’s only a longer season with more games yet no signings for them, are Fosun bored? Have they realised the fan base they are trying to bring forward will always be stuck in the dark ages? Are the rumours they are trying to sell up true? Where’s the ground expansion? Where are the fans that will fill it? Tune in next time to find out.

6.) 11 Jul 2019 13:55:12
Where has the W 88
gone off our shirts?

7.) 11 Jul 2019 18:35:17
Dont be worried for what were doing worry bout your own team .

8.) 11 Jul 2019 20:43:42
Are these dingles still rocking up on our page!

Don’t worry fella form is temporary, class is permanent.

9.) 11 Jul 2019 21:48:41
Good question Moutinho, I too was wondering why a sponsor would be willing to offer a newly promoted team double what they were offering a team in Europe, then I remembered. the team in Europe is wolves and the newly promoted side is Aston Villa, so makes perfect sense.

13 Jun 2019 14:50:40
Wesley Moares then, come out of no where which shows it's a tighter ship than previous regimes, no ones reported this and all of a sudden it's coming out as done and dusted.

He looks like a Brazilian Tammy, big strong, 10 goals and 9 assists in 28 games. The last striker we got from the Belgium League didn't do to badly. Big Price, but if you want quality sometimes you have to pay.

1.) 13 Jun 2019 15:13:34
Some good footage here:

2.) 13 Jun 2019 15:39:56
This guys a beast mate its a good signing.

3.) 13 Jun 2019 15:42:30
Chris, looks like he turned down, a few good clubs, to come to Villa . They must fancy him, to give him a 5 year contract, he certainly looks the part .
Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

4.) 13 Jun 2019 17:34:08
Leeds would have spent more.

5.) 13 Jun 2019 18:15:09
So we got spurs first game.

6.) 13 Jun 2019 18:27:24
AVFC now confirmed Moraes deal.

Just saw the VAR decisions back yesterday, wow, think they got a hat trick😂 Hourihanes challenge was brilliant, not even close to a foul let alone a yellow, Hourihanes goal was perfectly fine, their man fouled the keeper not Wesley, and to top it off McGinn should of had a pen.

You can't help but feel hard done by sometimes, but it seems like it's more often than not this season.

1.) 20 Oct 2019 23:34:30
Chris, it’s a complete farce . Allowing goals that aren’t, cancelling goals that, blatantly are . The FA are allowing, the refs to cover their own arses . With the amount of mistakes, being made, the managers and fans won’t, stand for it much longer. These wrong decisions being shown up, will cost managers their jobs .

In some very random news I've just seen, Carles Gil won newcomer of the year in the MLS with New England Revolution, 10 Goals and 14 Assists. Probably one of the best technical players we've had in the last 5 years, but has absolutely 0 physicality about him. Shame really, seemed a good lad. Fair play to him.

1.) 16 Oct 2019 22:28:56
Sounds very much like Jota, perhaps the USA beckons.

10 Oct 2019 07:55:19
So one year ago to the day we appointed Dean Smith, 17th in the championship, 2 points out of the last 12 and going no where. One year on and we are 15th in the championship after 8 games, with a squad that look to be getting better every week and a management set up that have been finding a system that fits all our best players. Not been a bad 12 months of you ask me.

1.) 10 Oct 2019 09:40:11
They all wanted him out before the norwich game lol fickle lot villa fans.

2.) 10 Oct 2019 12:45:53
We have done fantastic in the year under deeno.
The owners have been a breath of fresh air and they are pumping money into the club on a regular basis.
Very happy with everything really.
We have brought in 12 players and how many can you say are dud signing?
Very high percentage have turned out better than I thought.
And most have a better sell on value
Vastly different to previous owners and managers.

22 Sep 2019 18:30:24
Absolutely bottled it, again. Manager has to take some fault and the two centre halves making stupid errors for the first two goals. Guenduzi is running into bodies and engles cleaned him out, and Mings trying to chest it to Taylor with a man on him instead of clearing it, stupid mistakes!

The manager bringing on Lansbury and Hourihane when they were needed 20 minutes prior was the icing on the cake.

22 Sep 2019 08:40:18
Today could be very difficult, I know Arsenal bottled it against Watford last week but they'll want a response, similar to the way city responded to their loss at Norwich. Arsenal looked pretty good in the Europa league aswell, but if Wesley's up for it and not throwing himself around, I think he can cause Luiz serious problems, the blokes a liability and our best chance of getting something, Benteke of 4/ 5 years ago would of had a field day against him.

If we can match the 60 minutes we played vs Spurs, but for 90, where we let them have a 5/ 10 minute spell but then went on our own attacks and catch them on the break, then I think we can beat them. If we can nick an early goal then these haven't got an erikson to come off the bench like Spurs did.

Big worry is Ozil, he always played brilliant against us (but then again who didn't haha), I hope this isn't the game he sees to ignite his season, get McGinn on him like a rat, not leave for a minute.

Come on Villa!

1.) 22 Sep 2019 10:10:57
I think if we stay in game after an 60mins even if were a goal down i reckon we get a draw or even a win i dare say. They seem to get tired for the last 20 mins of games and them playing on Thursday hopefully should help us. I fancy our chances on set pieces and corners. Oh also on there goal kicks ha ha

One of the dads have contacted a fan group to try and sort it out, so embarrassing though, even at their age what goes through their head to think that’s appropriate.

Are we giving them a bigger allocation? Good if the club to make it free to season ticket holders, I know they’ve done it the last few years, first home game of the cup and all but were 3 rounds in and a local derby, so fair play to them for still making it free.

As it was their money that was invested, surely it’s there decision what is or isn’t an option?

Probably needed another striker/ winger after letting green go, but other than that excellent business on paper.

Targett definitely struggled defensively second half, players have bad games tho and he scored the winner so we move on.

Targett wasn’t the best to be honest, before they went down to 10 he was brilliant but after the sending off he got caught too high up often and miss judged a few balls, then he went and grabbed a 94 minute winner so who cares haha.

Perfect time for “average jack” to show what he can do with Southgate at the game, only worrying thing is every we did came through him, every player looked for him when they had the ball, and when he’s not right there they don’t know what to do, players need to take responsibility and look within for inspiration.

Officials were awful, never ever a free kick for their goal and never a foul on the keeper for connors goal. Absolutely abysmal yet again.

A few players had off games, McGinn looks leggy second half and el ghazi didn’t put the best performance in second half.

With all that said sometimes you have to grind out results and today we did just that, another day Connors goal counts, he puts away the other brilliant chance he had and we win comfortable. Onto the next one!

When your best players are in their mid twenties and their contracts start running below 3 years, look to renew. If players jump up in importance/ ability (example McGinn) then tie them down to a new deal so their paid fairly and their contract lengths are up to date.

Weird one because from what’s put out in the press they are fairly common in Spain, just seems pointless though.

{Ed001's Note - they are obliged to put one in the contract in Spain and they are legally binding there. We have different laws here though.}

Thanks Ed👍 Does that mean that they are totally redundant in England? I remember the story that came out about Suarez and Arsenal bidding £1 more than the buy out or something stupid.

{Ed001's Note - they are just useless pretty much. The Suarez one actually saw Count Dracula take Liverpool to court in order to try and force through a move. That is how we know for sure they are not legally binding as his attempt failed.}
