i have seen this on a couple of sites.

" west brom trying to hijack £9m aston villa player's transfer, think baggies could appeal more".

would you sell Samatta to the baggies?

AkaVilla

Loan to Turkey or another league hopefully he does ok so they buy him but I wouldn't give him to tesco fc or any other bottom 6 side.

2.) 17 Sep 2020 18:51:14
Yeah, I'd sell him to them in a heartbeat. If he goes on loan and does nothing we won't be able to sell him and will have to pay him for 4 more years.

3.) 18 Sep 2020 14:13:56
There was a suggestion that we wanted a compulsory ‘loan to buy’ agreement with the Turks. If we can’t secure that, I wouldn’t be averse to selling him to the Baggies.

We do need ample cover for Ollie though and I don’t think Davis is enough. I know Traore has played in the centre, but an additional specialist/ fairly regular front man would be my aim. I notice we seem to be eyeing Brewster again, probably just to p—- o— Gene Wilder, once more, at the Blades.

Scott Hogan transfer from Villa now confirmed by BBC, fee not disclosed.

16 Sep 2020 21:24:15
Hogan gone to Blues on 4 yr contract according to Bham Mail on line.

AkaVilla

1.) 16 Sep 2020 21:45:28
Yep. 4 years! Madness. Fee is ‘undisclosed’ but minimal return on the £9m we shelled out I bet. Saw one ‘ITK’ claiming it’s £950k. He did alright on loan there pre-lockdown, maybe it’ll work out for him. Frees up space in the squad anyway.

2.) 16 Sep 2020 21:58:57
I’m just glad we no longer have to pay his wages.

3.) 17 Sep 2020 09:16:18
Apparently we’re paying £400k contribution to his wages for the year (would’ve been last year of his contract) . If the fee is as reported (c. £1m), that’s a massive £600k into the coffers 🤣

But. he’s gone. Good luck to him, just never fit in.

4.) 17 Sep 2020 13:56:50
Apparently Hogan missed the signing form, but its been explained that the noses didn't hand him the pen to his strengths. 🤔 I'll get my coat (again) 😁.

Rumou that Keinan Davis has been offered a 3yr contract by Villa.

Ed's, Most of the signings by Villa have been cash + add ons. Do we ignore add ons when we are looking at what we have actually spent against the budget?

AkaVilla

{Ed002's Note - Typically they are planned but not included in the accounts until they happen - as with Coutinho and appearance related payments.}

Someone recently enquired on this site about Louie Barry.
There is a report about him on BirminghamLive entitled " Explained: Aston Villa's master plan for academy star Louie Barry".

AkaVilla

1.) 17 Sep 2020 18:53:20
Yes, it was me :) I saw that article, cheers.

2.) 17 Sep 2020 19:38:37
I think it was an error with the website, he is listed in the U23s now.

Did Vardy play 😂😂.

If only a small percentage of the rumoured offers we are supposed to have made for players are true then I think the assumed budget of £100m will be smashed.

Is it possible we are all wrong on this and DS's budget iOS actually higher than this?

AkaVilla

1.) 12 Sep 2020 20:35:02
Another thought I have recently had regarding the smashing of the budget is does DS expect Grealish to be sold before the end of the transfer season?

Assuming we only got £60m for him then this would raise our budget to £160m. You can get a lot of good players for that amount of money.

Final score Villa 1 (Watkins) Man U 0.

AkaVilla

1.) 12 Sep 2020 16:08:13
Thanks Aka, That will do nicely for starters.

2.) 12 Sep 2020 16:35:16
Can’t wait for Martinez to arrive. If he lives up to expectations he should be worth extra points for us this season.
Latest on Heaton is he is not a happy man and he could take quite some time to recover and he may not be the same gk as in the past.

3.) 12 Sep 2020 17:39:05
Yes Aka, I am really pleased about it, he is a lot more than just a shot stopper, this guy can stop a shot and hold the ball, fantastic.
About Heaton, like you I am not sure mate.
That`s the problem with a big injury Aka, I have the same worries over Wesley, watched a video of him running the other day, and he looked awkward to be honest.
So maybe Deano knows something we don`t, hence the search for a second striker.

4.) 12 Sep 2020 18:11:42
Villa spending £16M on a keeper is mental, there’s got to be more to the Heaton injury and I’m reading on the rumours page that we’re signing a Finnish keeper too 🤷🏼‍♂️

UTV.

I believe the Finish was a mistake as the poster did say later on he meant Martinez.

Just watched a video of him and besides being a good ball carrier he also has a devastating long pass.

Lyon manager has confirmed he is going to Villa.
Just his medical to complete and visa to get. I saw somewhere it was hoped he would get his visa tomorrow.

Reports suggest he is having a medical today in Denmark. Lange is in Denmark currently and wants to oversee things.

Give them a chance to get to know each other.
Fans like you are probably the ones who boo their own team instead of supporting them.

Personally I was not surprised at the way we played after all it was their first Premiership match this season and three players were new to the side.
I think this team will get a lot better as they get more matches under their belts.
