Looks like we may be going in for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Apparently Davis will not play again this season for Notts Forest due to a hamstring injury.
Rotten luck as he was going so well.

Didn't see this one. Calum Chambers from Arsenal signed according to AVFC

Edda, can you help with this one?
It is reported Villa are interested in Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus. If they agree a fee with his club they then have to get the players acceptance of the move and he is away on International duty.
How will they communicate with him? Direct or through his agent or some other way?

AkaVilla

{Ed002's Note - His agent would deal with the logistics of medicals and forms.}

Many thanks Ed002

New kit launched on AVFC site.

AkaVilla

1.) 08 Jul 2022 15:15:35
Yup - a mere £110 per shirt ??

2.) 09 Jul 2022 10:14:20
155 euro ex shipping for 2 shirts, 0-3 months and 3-4 years with names on back. It's an absolute joke!

3.) 09 Jul 2022 11:21:13
£110 is the pro shirt. The normal one which normal people buy is £65. £65 is still a rip off for a t-shirt but at least use the price for the standard shirt before screaming bloody murder.

4.) 09 Jul 2022 12:01:14
Is it 65 pounds with names printed and premier league badges on it?

5.) 09 Jul 2022 16:56:58
2 things that have never been standard issue on a shirt?
Not everyone wants or needs those things and as with all products, extras come at a cost.
All of the options are overpriced for a basic garment of clothing, my point was that the £110 option is the over engineered kit the players wear and not "the" shirt that people would actually be buying.

6.) 09 Jul 2022 21:22:17
Why do fans feel the need to wear the ‘latest’ shirt? Many of the retro ones are so much more stylish and less of a rip-off since they have more longevity. Even £65 is vanity - it’s 32.5 gallons of petrol for goodness sake ?

7.) 09 Jul 2022 23:09:39
My most recent are last years training top and home kit from about 5 years ago and those were presents. Other 2 are home and away "cows" shirts where the sponsor logo has long since disintegrated.
I consider myself a pretty die hard supporter watching every game and even have a tattoo containing the crest but can't justify £40,50,60 for a t-shirt every year especially when my usual fashion choice is band t-shirt and jeans meaning i wouldn't wear it regularly.

8.) 11 Jul 2022 19:43:29
I don’t buy expensive clothes but I do like all the bells and whistle’s when it comes to my annual jersey purchase, the past few years it was costing me around 90-95 euros for the works so if it’s £110 this year that’s quiet a hike with the currency changeover, probably talking 130 or so euros, usually buy a second 1 late in the season when they go on offer, to be honest I don’t mind paying it as the owners are pumping big dollars into the team and running the club very well, long may it last.

Trezeguet gone.

One down, just another four or five to ship out

Very quiet on the rumour side.
Does that mean we can expect a nice surprise at any time?

AkaVilla

1.) 15 Jun 2022 22:12:45
2 more signings would make me happy, left back cover and another midfielder or winger

2.) 16 Jun 2022 04:55:50
Agree Whackie if we keep Archer

Yep 100% mate

Good luck Keinan Davis, hope you and Notts Forest have a good game and we meet next season in the Premiership.

Congratulations to Keinan but feel bad for Huddersfield losing a final in possibly the worst way possible.

12 May 2022 20:03:45
Congratulations Coutino on signing a 4 year contract with Villa.

AkaVilla

1.) 12 May 2022 21:06:34
Now let's get Chukwuemeka tied down and bring in some new blood. Kamara and Bissoma next please :-)

2.) 12 May 2022 21:34:52
BK - What are your feelings about Phillips who we are being linked with?

3.) 12 May 2022 22:52:25
Disagree with giving Chuck a contract would be happy to see him gone every time I watch him he is lazy and seems like he don’t want to be playing. Contracts to phill amazing piece of business hopefully he will attract players along with stevie

4.) 12 May 2022 23:30:25
I'd absolutely love Philips mate but I think there'll be bigger clubs and / or more lucrative deals on offer for him - Could see interest from United and Newcastle if Leeds are relegated, Newcastle would offer crazy money I'm sure and well, United are United and will always attract players. If I was a betting man I'd say we'll get Kamara and Bissoma which would be a big upgrade on our current midfield. Kamara in particular would be a massive coupé! If we can get a CB and back up LB I think we'll be in good shape, I know Gerrard wants a striker as well but I wonder if the Ings Watkins combo of recent weeks has given him good for thought? Not asking much but Hickey, Gomes, Bissoma, Kamara, Coutinho and I'll be happy ? LOL

5.) 13 May 2022 14:14:08
Nice list BK, apart from gomez I want to see a CB from the continent coming in, plus add a winger for when we need to switch things up

6.) 14 May 2022 09:34:51
BK you forget we have Gerrard and by all accounts Phillips has great admiration for him so everything is possible.

7.) 14 May 2022 12:51:24
I hope your right Aka mate, he would be a very good signing - I also seen on Twitter that some Leeds ITK (who apparently is reliable) said he is going to Villa if relegated.I took that with a massive pinch of salt of course but there is definitely interest and you're right, Gerrard will be a draw for players. We have to be pushing for Kamara as well, wonder would they be looking at Phillips and Kamara, similar to how England set up with 2 holiding mids? Would certainly free up McGinn and/or Ramsey in midfield and we'd win back the ball much quicker with 2 specialised defensive players in the middle - That would be good news for Coutinho as well I'm sure.

8.) 15 May 2022 17:40:56
Whack, I stated that we needed a hard c/h from eastern europe some time ago.
Mings is and has always been likely to have a cock up and cost us. I like Mings but he is not a last line defender unless we play 3 and he is on the left allowing a proper c/h to play.

There is an interesting article on the MOM’s site that analysis this and concludes it is all his agents doing.

As I understand it the deal would be a loan to buy and an agreement between the clubs is close and would involve the player agreeing to the move.

Lord, there were many rumours about Villa players and what they allegedly thought about McGin.
Did he comment about that? If he did then I must have missed it so he is at least being consistent.

Why should Gerrard comment on these rumours? As far as I can remember he never has in the past.

What fans may be overlooking is that Mings is not fully fit as he is suffering from a groin strain and SG would be irresponsible if he played him.

I have always rated Poch and he is available though I think we need to give SG more time.
