Ok chaps what changes should be made for the weekend if any.

That's the team for me if everybody is fit, obviously harsh on Ramsey and Ings but I think that's a very well balanced side.

I wouldn't start sanson, buendia or watkins they have done nothing, i'd play ramsey, ings, archer, archer deserves to start from all goals he has scored.

Two interesting options. Personally I would change it all up to give certain players a kick they deserve. So for me

433 surely, he hasn’t had the players due to injury but there all back now so no excuse not to go back to his preferred formation.

Martinez (if he’s back from Argentina, wish his dad a speedy recovery btw?)

Obviously Buendia and Bailey can swap either side, shouldn’t matter too much.
Targett back in a back four should find his form from last season.
Ings over Watkins for me, Watkins has been miles off it, I know he missed the start of the season but some of the selfish play, miss placed passes/ touches and just all round movement have been really poor.
Flat midfield 3, when one goes and joins the attack, the other two sit. If we get to the 60th minute and can be more adventurous then you let two go and one sit.

West Ham’s second team beat City the other night, so that gives you an idea of how well they are doing. But I still think us on our best day beat them, we just haven’t seen us at our best for a full 90 minutes yet this season.

So going on the general consensus our midfield which has been overrun for the last two games should stay the same? . For me mcginn and Luiz need a kick up the backside as they've done nothing. Mcginn was responsible for two arsenal goals, the first he made no challenge on the corner, whether he should be in that position is another debate and the third because he tried to play an impossible pass through two players. Luiz doesn't affect a game at all for me.

Most sensible and on the button post S V I totally agree. that's my big gripe with Smith, we can all see it yet he seems blinkered. More cash required in January or it will be the "same old same old, one step forward and 2 back.

Two games SV? We were two nil up with ten to play against Wolves and our midfield had helped reduce them to 2 shots on target at that point, one being a defender giving it directly to them and another a long range shot. The midfield wasn’t over run at all to that point, then the whole team were over run and bottled it, not just the midfield. Against Arsenal in the first half I agree midfield was a problem, forwards not holding onto it made it worse, second half wasn’t as bad but still not great.

So no I wouldn’t change the midfield three to be honest, because for one in my opinion they weren’t over run for two games straight and two the back up options aren’t pulling up trees when they do get a chance.

Moved mings to lb, because he's quicker than target and is stronger, gone for hause at cb because he's oldschool does things simple and compliments konsa well, also archer deserves a start natural finisher.

Chris, I respect your opinions which is what this site should be all about, so on this one we will have to agree to disagree. Scott I wouldn't like to see a boat load of cash thrown at the midfield again as I think we have a squad of players who should merely be doing better. There seems to be a bit of complacency with that area, hence my shake up suggestion. We still have the likes of chucka etc to come in so signing more would just push them further down the pecking order.
