Once again showing our biggest mistake, was not getting a top R/B . Konsa top defender but not a R/B, getting caught out of position .
Nice to see Bailey finally realise, he's got a right foot, good cross and cracking header by Ollie. Rogers had a good game again, became very frustrated.
How Ipswich had 11 players on the pitch, only the ref knows . Our passing let us down again, the amount of two yard passes that went astray was bad .
On now to Bayern, hopefully without Harry Kane . UTV

My lads been reading, that part of the Maatsen deal, is Kellerman . Villa value him at about £20m . They must consider they have more than enough cover for him .

I’m torn re Kellyman in the one hand I will be sorry to see him go as in the bits we have seen of him he looks decent, on the other however it’s good money and given Chukwuemeka hasn’t kicked on at Stamford Bridge we might end up getting the better of the deal it will be interesting to see.

What a cracking game, what a goal by Duran and Ginny gets one, deflection by Barkley but who's worried. When you consider the teams that Leipsic have played and been narrowly beaten by, that result looks even better . Once again, silly stupid goal given away, we've had 3 goals against us now and two of those have been utter gifts . Since we've been calling Martinez, the world's number 1, he's been making these cockups . 13 points, up to 3 in the table, Europe at the moment is going well .
Back down to earth on Saturday, with Forest, we will have to get our energy levels back up, because they have been playing well .UTV

An enjoyable watch 82, a constant threat going forward rather than some of the boring performances last month. loved some of the carries that rogers made, serious improvements made in the 12 months since he joined, if he can improve a tiny bit more he will be at a whole new level. hope he has the legs for our game at the weekend.

We made hard work of that, but got a not very convincing win . Dave I Agee, Bailey and Bidace get worse . Can't understand Bidace, we know he has the ability, but now he's back he just doesn't seem bothered. Yet once again, our passing was absolutely diabolical. At times you could say it was just lazy, they have to stop all these flicks and make sure of every pass . Tielemans and Rogers were the worst offenders . Kamara once again showed what we've been missing, he was non stop all over the park . Ginny as well, worked his socks off, so much better further forward. Can't work out what's up with Ollie, maybe it is Duran breathing down his neck .
At least we're still in a decent position, with it all to play for . Certainly think a few changes will be made January UTV

At last, a win, more like it, first half played some good stuff. Great goal by Rogers, flukie pen by Ollie, good volley by Cash at the far post . Kamara once again had a good game, Ginny looks so much better, in the middle.
Don't know if others will agree, but I think Mings proved some people right . Time and again in the right place for headed clearances and getting blocks in .
On now to Southampton on Saturday, up to 7th so we need another win UTV

Dave, Mings certainly proved you and me right, a tall defender with a bit more pace than Torres definitely improved our overall defensive performance. I hope those who made the spiteful comments about Mings after the Brugge game (they know who they are) eat their words. Rogers had his best game for a while, confidence is everything.Midfield looked better with Mcginn in the middle.Stupid errors at the back are still troubling but a wins a win. Bailey and Pholegene are still a major issue, both lose the ball too easily create little and show poor defensive awareness, Emery must address this urgently.

Maybe I’m to fussy but I thought it was a lucky win, class first goal, peno only barely scored and the 3rd goal was offside, I was happy at half time with how we were playing but second half we we a shadow of the team we were in first half, we should of being putting them to the sword, at 3 nil down they would have to leave gaps, 1 of our problems is we can’t kill off games, how many chances we wasted.
But like you say Scot a win is a win, it might give us the confidence to improve and get out of this rut.

Dave as I said Rogers definitely needs a couple of games out, with no Ramsey it makes it difficult . One option could be perhaps, play Maatens in there .
