Sat in Doug Ellis today no singing plenty of moaning and told to sit down by a few fans when we as on the attack the prawn sandwich brigade are well and truly set in their ways in that ground embarrassing. Why go and support your team if you don't show a bit of enthusiasm is beyond me ?

Mings, what can you say? He's not good enough and really needs to stick to basics. He's not a ball playing CH, never has been. His feet just cannot keep up with what his brain is trying to do.

If Mings is so crap what does that make Torres when he can't get in the team? Unfortunately some people are unable to see the mistakes that. Torres made earlier in the season, lets face ot he didn't look a World beater against Brighton.

Bellis isn't I left sided center back so it's not a choice between him and mings. I do agree on mings he's rubbish and makes stupid mistakes every game. decent performance for most parts but defence is a worry. Suzuki wasn't his usual confident self today, but to be fair I wouldn't be confident with mings in front of me either.

Was playing against 10 men for most of the game mings is crap just own it. Don't think mcguin gets the criticism he should either should have had 3 goals today. Having to score 3 goals to win a game is not feasible.

I see Unai is on the shortlist to win the Balon D'Or managers award, along with Arteta, Enrique, De La Fuentes and Kompany. Sadly he won't win it, and maybe I am seeing this through my claret and blue spectacles but given what he has achieved and the restrictions he has had to work under he certainly should do.

Surprise of the night Garnacho, shows what a couple of weeks with Emery, plus wanting to learn, can do. He really had a good game non stop involved, looking like he was enjoying it. Gomes had a great game, Harwood Bellis looks like he will be a regular, and a shout out to the two young lads who came in at Left back, great to see Emery involving the young lads. Max Jenner looks like he could be the next one, fast tracked, add him to Hemmings, Allyson and big Brian and the future is looking bright.

Where our subs helped us, I think their mass of subs, seemed to throw them off balance completely. After all that, yet another trophy for the cupboard HaHa, great to see before the game, just how much Emery is respected and appreciated by others and not just Villa. In saying that I'm not including VJ and a couple of others, only joking VJ 🤔🤔UTV.

This! I watched United cheat on and off the pitch basically the entire way through my childhood and teens without any accountability whatrsoever. The mere mention of anything corrupt and it was simply laughed off. I remember the famous Jose and Rafa "rants" where everything they said was true and they were dismissed and ridiculed as crazy people.

I watched fergie decide how long they played for, who reffed them and a million other things that went unchallenged. To see so many united fans now calling city the scum of the earth isnt just hypocritical, its projection!

With all this with City, it appears that the league,are really looking to punish them. When you see the scale of their fiddling, it was on an industrial scale, talk of at the moment £900m. When and if the Premier do punish them I wouldn't be surprised, if UEFA get involved, because your going to get Euro teams claiming foul as well. The rumours of the amount of money, the owners have tried to slip them illegally is incredible, no wonder Pep decided to do a runner.

Premier and Euro teams will be queuing up with their individual claims against them, you can bet Liverpool and Arsenal will have their say. Villa should be looking at sorting our out, during that time, we've had lots of close ones with them, remember the cup. UTV.

Unfortunately the investigation was only up to 2017/18 season so probably wouldn't affect our cup final.
Even if they are stripped of titles, they probably won't pass them on, similar to Armstrong's Tour de France wins.
Unless we finished 1 position away from something during that time (survival, title, champions league) where they could be considered a direct reason then we won't get anywhere.


I could be wrong but I think the best we'd have done without them above us during those years is an extra UEFA cup spot towards the end of O'Neill's time, Spurs would still have beaten us to Champions League.

Yes but they overspent and laid the foundations for a deeper squad. Without the overspend they wouldn't have had the bigger sponsorship deals etc later on to make them sustainable.

Buck this is exactly my thinking. any cheating put them in the false position they were in, the positive effects lasted from the start of the cheating until present day.

Any team that played against them was cheated by them. All these teams deserve some compensation, even non prem teams in cups, and in Europe. Obviously some teams were affected more than others, and would be better compensated.
Expel them from the Prem and let the efl decide if they even want them, and yes I really do feel sorry for the fans and staff.
