How did Flemming of Burnley not get sent off for that elbow into Buendia's face.
The ref didn't even give a free kick. Surely VAR should have had a look.

Hi, I think what is really annoying about villa and it’s player recruitment policy or lack of is the fact we never bring through any academy players.
The last player to come through was Ramsey who once he got fit was sold, before that it was Jack. Barry was talked about by Klopp as the next Vardy, he went on loan and most people thought he would be at least in the squad but no, farmed out again probably to be sold. Fin Aziz went to M’boro to get experience but then sold for next to nothing. The same with Kaine Kesler Hayden.
You look at Man City, when they are playing well they have some academy players in the squad, look at Foden, McAtee, Rico Lewis, Oscar Bobb, Nico Reilly and the list goes on, and when they do sell they sell for good money not 2 and 3 million.
You have to ask what the point of our academy is if no players progress to the first team. The worrying thing is that parents see no progression so at 16 our kids who have been with Villa from 7 and 8 are poached by other clubs.
Villa seem to ignore our kids and buy from Europe, loan them out again and then sell for little or no profit, what is the point?
Garcia, will he replace Cash, doubtful, the other lad the Czech lad was loaned back then sold for what we bought him for.
Rant over, sorry it’s been long and winding.

Why is club debt never taken into account when the fair play figures are calculated?
The latest figures show that Spurs are nearly 1billion in debt yet have spent in excess of 200million, Everton with the new stadium are about 500 million in debt yet have spent 85 million.
They are not the only ones, even Brighton had 300 million debt.
The cost of servicing the debt each year should surely be taken out of the 105 million 3 year loses or it is just a farce.
Perhaps it is time clubs were treated as businesses or every club was told how much could be spent and it was the same for all.

Hi Tom didn't you say sell Torres andMcGinn a few weeks into the season?

Totally agree trinity. But it isn't just the usual suspects, look at Everton, close to 1bn in debt £34.8 million each year to service the debt a new stadium but still kept Goodison for the women's team. How can they just 2 years after being docked points and with no success spend so freely and are now talking of paying City £50 million for Grealish instead of waiting to season end.
I think it's time to let owners run their business as they seem fit or allow every club to spend a set maximum on transfers and wages, if nothing is done there will only ever be 4 or 5 times who will win everything, get stronger because of global recognition and everyone else may as well pack up and stop playing.

I think there should be limits on transfers but also limits on club debt. Just look at Spurs, Man Utd and even Everton they have all been very active in the transfer market but they all have debt of nearly £1 billion. How can you tell a club that has no debt but a lower revenue not to spend when high debt clubs can still spend a fortune.

Hi tom, I am like you this year. i just see 2 or 3 clubs buying all the top talent and thus buying the league and cup and all the other competitions. It is about time club debt is taken into account. The Premier League want to stop clubs going out of business so restrict transfer loses but do nothing about the debt of the clubs, Spurs close to £1 billion in debt spending £200 million in the transfer market is a total farce.
If supporters can't see their clubs competing they will go elsewhere.

Hi Trinity, Villa actually won 9 of the last 12 games last season, I think I would settle for the same win ratio this season.
I agree at times the football could be better, but we are playing other top sides who work on negating the abilities of other teams.
2 games in is not a time to panic, after 12 I might but not now.
