If (or should that be when? ) Villa go down, would you want Remi Garde to stay?

I know he has said he would, but have you seen enough to think he is the right man to turn Villa around and rebuild the club?

Let him sign a few he wants in this window and try and shape the team to his ways a bit more then let's see if we pick up a bit. If we do but still go down I'd give him another window in summer then judge him after first 10 to 12 games. Can't keep sacking the manager and bring new ones in with new ways of working as that just keeps you going backwards we need to stick by someone now and rebuild this club from top to bottom.

2.) 02 Jan 2016 10:37:14
I would keep him.
Let's be honest the team he inherited isn't good enough. He needs the chance to build the team he wants. Also, apart from the Norwich game, I think there has been a big improvement in the way they have been playing!

3.) 02 Jan 2016 11:08:16
i don't even think we played that bad in the norwich game just couldn't score.

4.) 02 Jan 2016 11:25:20
I agree mate, until they scored

5.) 02 Jan 2016 12:13:49
Think we should stick with garde like flakie said this teams not strong enough and lacks prem experience need new keeper for defo add two strikers and strong holding midfielder I believe we can survive it's seems if we concide in a game we dominate we can't unlock defences enough to get wins.

6.) 02 Jan 2016 12:42:26
First of all may I wish everyone a happy 2016 in your private lives and in your villa lives and hope the future gets brighter whether that be up or down, just want to say regards the Norwich game there first goal if you watch Micah Richards he physically looks over his shoulder at Howson and yet still does not go and cover him for me had he gone over and closed him down the goal would never have been so who is to blame? Now I read he has been moaning on twitter because someone saying he is a far better RB with his pace and would benefit himself and the team going forward seems to me he only came to us if he didn't have to play at RB. If I was Remi I would say that's your position IT'S A TEAM EFFORT OR YOU WILL BE RB ON THE BENCH!

7.) 02 Jan 2016 13:47:46
Ged I agree with you micha richards should play rb, every time he goes forward it leaves us weak at the back in the centre, our back line should look
richards okere clarke cisshoko and with sanchez and westwood out hope gardner gets his chance can not do any worse imo
guzan
richards okere clarke cisshoko
gardner gana
traore veretout sinclair
gestede.

I hear that it's the Chinese who are buying us, the same guys were attracted to Albion. I agree it's more or less a done deal and that they are sanctioning the purchases. The same as Ellis appointing MON whilst Lerner was buying us.

Villa are showing an interest in QPR's Matt Phillips for a summer transfer, I assume it is as an alternative to Scott Sinclair.

Talks are scheduled for after the match at the weekend.

Ed001

1.) 22 May 2015 12:58:34
I do believe that Sinclair has already signed, so why would Phillips be of use?
Gil is sitting out his time when surely he should be on the pitch.

{Ed001's Note - I don't know mate, I was only assuming it was instead of him as I hadn't checked into the situation, just that there was interest in Phillips and it was a natural assumption. Maybe he is wanted to replace N'Zogbia? He can play all across the front line, left wing, attacking mid and right wing. I am sure he could play as a striker too. Maybe to push Agbonlahor and cover Benteke injuries?

All I know is the interest in Phillips is real, the rest is just me giving possibilities.}

2.) 23 May 2015 14:19:52
Obviously it's not as an alternative to Sinclair for the reasons stated
But I'm surprised people are dismissing the idea because we have signed Sinclair
I've thought for a while that we should play 4-5-1 with 2 out and out wingers and Grealish as a no 10. Hopefully this means Sherwood agrees
I don't see Gil as a winger; he could play as a no 10 as well though
N'Zogbia is someone I would farm out at the first opportunity
I hope you are right Ed.

3.) 24 May 2015 16:03:09
Like Mendax says I would at least like the option of playing with out and out wingers. I think we would be better off buying a really solid Right Back and pushing Bacuna forward as - someone like Keiran Trippier from Burnley as it would improve the back 4 and give us dedicated wingers in Bacuna with Sinclair on the other side.

4.) 25 May 2015 21:37:56
Could be. Although he probably won't get that many games there.

I would like to thank all of you who have been helping us beta test out our new free to play game, Flat Out Horse Racing on http://www.footballrumoursbets.co.uk/games/flatouthorseracing.php. We are currently working on converting it to HTML5 so that those of you using iOS and Android will be able to play it too.

Once the conversion is done, we will set to work on creating a monthly prize draw that you can use the game money to buy raffle tickets to enter, as a thank you for helping us out. So the more you play, the more chance you have of winning cash prizes.

We have also added a few features to your registered user accounts, to allow you to use them to get to know your fellow posters a bit better. If you visit the recent posts section of your account, you will see that now it will show a profile picture and some information about you, if you choose to add either.

It will also show your current avatar and details of how you are getting on in our games, if you are taking part in them. We will be changing the links to reflect that the page now displays more information than just recent posts and there will be changes so you can upload pictures and information directly on the page in the future.

We also intend to allow you to keep all your previous avatars and profiles pictures in an album or delete those you no longer wish to be seen by others. That should make it easier for you to switch back to a previous profile picture or avatar.

nonsense. It depends on the country's ranking for starters. Then the wage they are paid. How much they cost and a number of other things. Marvelous is a Zimbabwe international, they are ranked outside the top 100 so that will not help him.

Apologies Indian, sorry it took a long time, transfer window is my busiest time. Also sorry it was not the nicest review, but it was not exactly the best of seasons!

Apologies I closed the reply box by mistake before sending this through.

All the players is difficult, every club keeps tabs on hundreds, sometimes even thousands of players over the course of a season. When an enquiry or bid goes in, that is the only time you can be sure of interest. Even then, it is impossible to find out all of them.

This season is particularly difficult, as the rules on agents has been relaxed by FIFA, meaning that anyone can set themselves up as an 'intermediary' as they are now called. That means you have all these new people making claims about representing players and trying to find them clubs etc, when they actually have no working relationship with those players.

One I have been told that is a possibility, as he is considering his options and wants to play in England, is Matthew Ryan of Valencia. They are a selling club, he is out of favour, Bruce rates him. He is Australia's keeper and needs first team football and Villa can offer him that. The issue is that there are other options for him, such as some interest from West Ham. Jedinak might well be your secret weapon in persuading him......
