You have to laugh we just got bck in the champions again. And Arsenal and United think there gonna take our player there having a laugh. Why we gonna sell 1 of our best players aswell were building a team not breaking it up, I think people think were club that can be bullied we aint that club no more like 10 yrs ago.

VJ, as long as Sky and the Premier League carry on disregarding us, you are going to get this to happen. Perhaps we should shock them by getting rumours in the press that we're after some of their players. HaHa. Hopefully, with our rebuilding and a good start next season, we could perhaps worry a few of them. UTV.

Just read that they expect Elliott Anderson to move in the summer and quite possibly break the £105 million paid for Declan Rice. The next article I read suggests that Villa will only get circa £80 million for Rogers. I know they are different types of midfielders but Anderson is not worth more than Rogers in my opinion.

I know the press are trying to sell our players again, and there's no way Rodgers gets sold for under 110mil, not a chance. Media, press, TV are deluded, just like them trying to get Unai out of our club; they don't like it that Villa are doing well.

Rogers under contract till 2031. It will take a British transfer record to buy him imo, and if they don't pay up I'm sure he will be happy enough playing Champions League with us next season. Couldn't see him going anywhere but City or Madrid to be honest, maybe even Bayern, but I couldn't see them stumping up that kind of money. Chelsea might want him, but they have zero European football next season and the club is in an awful state right now.
If he does go, I hope it's quick and early so we can go shopping.
As for Anderson, 110 million, if that's the case Rogers is worth 150 million.

Anderson: 4 goals, 5 assists.
Rogers: 14 goals, 12 assists.
Don't get me wrong, Anderson is a very good player, but he hasn't achieved much yet.
Rogers playing in Europe 3 seasons.
Won Young Player of the Year.
Won Player of the Tournament in EL.
Regular starter for England.
I'm not his biggest fan, he has lots of ability but goes missing as well, and he has a bit of an attitude, but the stats show him as a top level player and worth well more than Anderson.

Defo whack. It's like the press think it's only Aston Villa, 80mil should get him out. The values of players is a joke. Rodgers is way clear of Anderson by a mile. Never is Anderson a 100mil player.

Our owners rnt stupid, plus they know the value of Rodgers. He's a 100mil pound player easy, plus he's still learning and can get way better, plus as well, Rodgers is happy, so why would he wanna leave.

Like the new shirt, about time we had a collar back, nice and clean no fuss and would look great with Audi across the front. Love the video, some coat Emery has on HaHa UTV.

Love the new shirt. It's old school. As long as we get a sponsor on the front, it's a must.

I think it's awful. Maybe it will look better with a sponsor on it, but as it is, I wouldn't buy one.

For ages we’ve had to put up with non interest from Pundits and especially our friends Sky. Now it has started to become a bit unnerving, when respected pundits start talking about Emery, and best manager in the same breath HaHa. The unnerving part comes, when it appears more of them have started to see just how good he is, than some of the posters on here.

Even Pep admits how lucky he was, that owners where able to back him to the hilt financially, Emery has done what he has restricted financially, imagine what he could of done if he’d been able to get Pep’s support. Now perhaps we can show just how good we can be and how wrong they have been to take no notice. UTV.

I just watched the Pep presentation ceremony, so not everyone can have the success Guardiola has, however, when it comes Unai’s time to leave as it inevitably will, I just hope the fan base will remember everything he has done for our club.

Pep spent 10 years there, 17 trophies is an unbelievable achievement. That said, there's still those charges hanging over them.
If Unai spends 10 years here, how many trophies will he win? Or, in your opinion, how many can we win, which comps as well?
My head says 2.

1 more Europa League.
1 F.A. Cup.

My heart says he might get us a Champions League if he gets his recruitment right.

Whether Unai wins another trophy or not, we were heading for the Championship under Gerrard. City have achieved what they have achieved because they have been able to spend pretty much what they like, so they can attract the top players. Unai has achieved what he has, by spending next to nothing, effectively, with one arm tied behind his back.

In my opinion, where he has taken us from is remarkable in itself. I'm not suggesting he gets the send-off Pep gets, but whatever happens, I think we, as fans, should always be grateful, because we, as a club, will undoubtedly be in a stronger place for his tenure.

Well said! In the modern game, it's easy to jump on the latest stats, get caught up in the swamp of mediocre punditry, podcasts and talk shows, but hopefully this season is a lesson learned for some of those overreactions to short-term form, and how important it is to view progress over a longer period of time.
At any given time, there are at least six or seven teams who could qualify for the top four league spots, and as we've seen, competing on multiple fronts, especially in Europe, stretches even the best squads, which makes Emery's achievements all the more remarkable.
We all want free-flowing football and entertainment every week, but the nature of modern Premier League football has changed, and Emery has proved, beyond doubt, he knows how to navigate the demands of modern football.

I suspect there will be multiple departures and arrivals this summer, so let's hope we can strengthen and go again next year in what will likely be a major squad transition. But, if we happen to have a poor bit of form and, God forbid, finish 7th, let's not lose our heads and throw toys out of the pram. We are in the middle of what is basically our best-ever run of Premier League seasons, so let's try and keep perspective, whatever happens. Enjoy your summers.

Hahaha DBS, you know losing heads is what some do. If there was a league for this, we would win it hands down every season.

Haha, yeah, I know, Villadaz. Very unlikely to happen. But, if ever there was a perfect example of calming a few people down and not jumping on the short term form bandwagon, it would be this season.

As Jimmy Greeves used to say “It’s a funny old game.” Could have got hammered first half, could have had 5 the second half. Was like we had swapped shirts at half time, unbelievable difference. If I was Ollie, I wouldn’t let Bailey on the coach home, Ollie waiting for a hat trick tap in and Bailey went for goal, let’s hope that’s him gone. Two great goals by Ollie, he should be full of confidence for the World Cup, that’s if he’s given a chance.

Well that is a great season finished off, let’s just hope Emery gets his funding, to make it even better next season. The excitement is already starting to build, when you see just what we are capable of, another couple of signings and we are on our way.
So come on you Lions UTV

Dave, I really can't help myself where Bailey is concerned, he is simply hopeless in all aspects of his game. I think Emery genuinely feels sorry for him, and tries to get his mojo back, unfortunately he is a lost cause.

World Cup to look forward to now for most of us (Whack excluded). I have a feeling Ollie will do well, his recent form has to give him the confidence. His second goal yesterday was brilliant. He had been missing these for some while.

This weekend I’m in London with the in laws & gonna be watching the West Ham vs Leeds game, fathers in law is a Hammer. We were discussing the Man City thing, Pep leaving, maybe he’s leaving cos Finally they might get punished for the 100+ charges they face? If that’s the case & they get deducted points (I’m gonna go with 10 points per charge like Everton/Forest got) then they should end up in The Non League or whatever it’s called, Then shouldn’t whoever finishes in the 3rd relegation place be given a pass? Only problem I’d have with that is Spuds would stay up 🤷🏼‍♂️

UTV.
