He's doing well for himself but he's not going to cut it at a top level.
He's nothing like Vardy, that comment was based on one cup game.
He gets space in and around the box in League One most weeks, as you move up those spaces are few and far between.
Very simar to Callum o Hare, will have a tidy career but is just missing some attributes to ever reach the big time.

Im not sure about him yet, i think if unai likes him he could make him a better player

Worth looking at in the closed season, any player regularly scoring goals is worth a chance . Over the years we’ve seen, no matter what league they are in, a goal scorer is worth looking at .

I’m inclined to agree with rk, so for me given we want to buy in January we could add Barry to the list of those for sale but insert a hefty sell on clause to protect ourselves should he come good at a higher level.

Glad to see that corporate is working, never seen so many empty seats . They don't seem to put attendances up now, from what Iv seen it was 37, 000 .

Dave, we both knew this was going to happen, greed will always get found out.If we don't buck our ideas up in the transfer window 37,000 will be a good day.
06 Dec 2024 14:22:59
As a fan from down south its really frustrating when you can't get tickets and the see the empty seats on tv

I thought mings was class last night, any think we could play cbs at the bck mings, pau, konsa?
And midfield of bouba and onana as our holders with bouba, onana, and mings we have good height in the team and a power especially with rodgers aswell forgot about him, i still think we should use watkins and bailey like lpool play there strikers and put duran in the middle, i think it would work

After watching the game last night I was particularly impressed with Brentford's left back, Lewis-Potter. Pacy, defensively looked good and a trick or two up his sleeve.
Only 23 too.
Worth a look based on last night.

Not on the same level as Digne and probably not as much potential as Maatsen, so doubt we'll focus on him, but don't disagree that he's a decent player

I said Emery had to change things and his change definitely made a difference. I have been the most vocal on here about Torres and in my opinion he is a weak link in our defence (not on his own I accept) .Mings was named man of the match from a two separate sources and I thought he improved our defence. Mcginn in the middle changed us, I thought he played well.Rogers was excellent along with Digne and Kamara. Unlike recent games when the majority of the team were poor to average the majority today were average to good which showed. We have to cut out our sloppy play at the back and Konsa is often the culprit. We needed the win, however against the worst team in the league away from home. Let's see how we get on against another poor side on Saturday.
In the last couple of seasons I have never seen so many empty seats by me, yes a wet Wednesday late game, on TV, however current form hasn't helped, fans will always vote with their feet when they aren't happy.

Brilliant first half some lovely flowing football but second half let them back into by going back to playing pedestrian like, to much backwards passing and messing close to and inside our box, better teams will punish us, how can Emery not see the issues, good result but the problems are evident.

At last, a win, more like it, first half played some good stuff. Great goal by Rogers, flukie pen by Ollie, good volley by Cash at the far post . Kamara once again had a good game, Ginny looks so much better, in the middle.
Don't know if others will agree, but I think Mings proved some people right . Time and again in the right place for headed clearances and getting blocks in .
On now to Southampton on Saturday, up to 7th so we need another win UTV

Dave, Mings certainly proved you and me right, a tall defender with a bit more pace than Torres definitely improved our overall defensive performance. I hope those who made the spiteful comments about Mings after the Brugge game (they know who they are) eat their words. Rogers had his best game for a while, confidence is everything.Midfield looked better with Mcginn in the middle.Stupid errors at the back are still troubling but a wins a win. Bailey and Pholegene are still a major issue, both lose the ball too easily create little and show poor defensive awareness, Emery must address this urgently.
04 Dec 2024 23:30:49
Dave disappointed with Barkley when he came on, gave the ball away, that many times . Bidace not playing well since he came back, Bailey can do one good thing, the throws it away . His main problem is not knowing when to pass it, ends up running up blind alleys . Amazon gave Mings man of the match, thought he played well . UTV

Maybe I’m to fussy but I thought it was a lucky win, class first goal, peno only barely scored and the 3rd goal was offside, I was happy at half time with how we were playing but second half we we a shadow of the team we were in first half, we should of being putting them to the sword, at 3 nil down they would have to leave gaps, 1 of our problems is we can’t kill off games, how many chances we wasted.
But like you say Scot a win is a win, it might give us the confidence to improve and get out of this rut.
04 Dec 2024 23:58:27
Thought Digne played very well both attacking and defending, Mbueno is a real handful and he kept him very quiet.

I thought you said we wouldn’t win tonight or on Saturday. Changed your tune have you?
04 Dec 2024 22:51:17
I didn't think we would the way we been playing 1 win doesn't mean anything thou, need to beat southampton, then forest and get some confidence ang get a clean sheet, and we still need 5/6 players in 3 in january,3 in the summer
04 Dec 2024 23:22:40
How on earth do you expect us to wrangle 8 or 9 top class players in 2 windows, I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t have money to spend in January, I suspect if we spend in January we will end up with a luiz situation in June.
I’d love a look at the books.
05 Dec 2024 00:13:51
I didn't 8/9 whack 6 mate 3 in jan 3 in summer
05 Dec 2024 02:34:03
If we buy 3 players in January they will cost about 5 million each.
05 Dec 2024 14:09:06
Not if we sell the players that are not good enough
05 Dec 2024 15:50:43
I think we will do business in January but the amount will depend on who goes out the door. So I think Carlos will be on his way and Ramsey and or Buendia might also be leaving if all were to go then that combined with the additional funds from CL might allow us to bring 2 players in but if we try to sign players for big money without releasing one or two then PSR will undoubtedly come back to bite us. I wouldn’t be surprised though if we entered the loan market and try to recruit 1 or 2 that way. Anyone up for taking Dougie back from Juventus on loan?
05 Dec 2024 19:30:43
Doug and jack both on loan would be a decent window
06 Dec 2024 02:44:39
Dougie yes jck no we should go for dibbling from southampton, would jck want to come bck plus he's on massive wages 350thou a week
04 Dec 2024 21:41:44
We simply cannot keep a clean sheet in games.
We look so shaky.
On the positive side we have created a lot of chances, but we must take them when they come.

I think the fancy term for it now is risk v reward in the old days I think it was the if you score three we will score more mentality, sometimes it works ie against Wolves sometimes it doesn’t but it does make for entertaining football.
