I predict 2 wins in next 2 games they won't necessarily be pretty but will get the right result then watch it go very quiet on here

Shrew I don’t think with two wins, you’d still wouldn’t make VJ happy UTV
24 Sep 2025 16:14:51
Dave I’ve got tomato sauce ready when Jonny eats his words
24 Sep 2025 18:48:33
As if i'd be happy if we win both games i support the team doesn't mean i have to support the manager i always want villa to win
23 Sep 2025 22:50:18
VJ reminds me of someone who was on here before, they left and came back under at least three different names . They always had the same VJ doom and anger that he has . We've all overtime laughed at some of VJs posts, but now he's gone on full Hatred of Emery and certain players . If he had his way, the whole management team and most the players would be gone . How after 4-5 games, with financial restrictions and other problems, how are you supposed to do that .
Let's just wait and see, while getting behind the team UTV

Dave i don't hate any of the players some are not good enough I've said i hate any players and I've never said i hate unai i said i don't want him in charge of my club because i think he's took villa as far as he can, plus its not 5 games its been going on for about 16 months style of play is boring and slow tacticts are outdated nothings going to change in my opinion, you have your opinion i got mine were only heading 1 way with unai and its results are shocking now wait till we play the big boys they are going to batter us all over the park
24 Sep 2025 10:04:26
16 months? Really i would suggest you don't get to the champions league quarters playing like this and finishing just outside champions league due to refs mistake, so its very very doubtful its been going on for 16 months! We have started bad i agree but we WONT be relegated!
24 Sep 2025 13:05:31
If this form carrys on then who knows

New director announced he's worked at Villarreal among other clubs and has worked with Unai before. Seems like an Unai influenced appointment in my opinion. He's not going anywhere

23 Sep 2025 23:53:42
Not Villarreal it was Real Sociadad and he worked with Unai at Almeria
23 Sep 2025 10:44:49
I wonder if the new sporting director will bring his own choice of head coach, it's a case of watch this space. It's possible this is a wake up call to players and Manager and Monchi is the only casualty at the moment. Let's see what happens, I'm sure the owners intentions will be in the public domain sooner rather than later. Bring on Thursday!

Nxt2 games are crucial bologna, n fulham loose both of them he's gone he's 95percent gone now he's through the players under the bus calling them lazy, he's lost the dressing and you can tell the players don't want to play for him no more, its only going to end 1 way we have seen it before these players did it to gerreard, and dean smith n same hapoening now with unai
23 Sep 2025 14:04:53
Emery is not going anywhere nor is Damien so either back the manager and the team or post your negativity on other sites your depressing!
23 Sep 2025 16:09:51
Daz, I am inclined to agree with you. Just read a report that Emery and Monchi had some serious issues between them this last few months and Emery still has the ears of the owners.
23 Sep 2025 16:47:50
I've seen a report that Emi, Mings, Rogers and Watkins have fallen out with Unai. If that's the case i'd drop all 4 of them. Rogers and Watkins especially as they're not particularly good at the moment.
23 Sep 2025 18:34:17
Our downturn started after monchi’s arrival and his purchases leave a lot to be desired, whoever takes over will be a crucial appointment the owners have to get it right
23 Sep 2025 18:46:03
U think so daz lol we will see if he doesn't win nxt 2 games its p45 and i ain't going no where like i said b4 unless i get banned which isn't going to happen i'm always going to be on here
23 Sep 2025 19:03:20
And il think you find daz most villa fans want unai gone probably not on here but on utube and other sites i go on the fans want him out, its football at the end of the day its down to getting results and he's not doing it and he's serving the worsed football I've seen and its going on for 16 months we don't look like winning a game and scoreing a goal its that bad
23 Sep 2025 19:30:43
I think you'll find that just because you found some sites with people complaining doesn't mean "most" fans want him gone.
This site gets busy after losses because the moaners have nothing to moan about when things are good.
Most of the people who back the team end up leaving or taking breaks because it's quite frankly no fun to be around the group who never have anything good to say.
23 Sep 2025 20:10:36
So the traveling fans on Sunday singing FOR Emery was a figment of my imagination then.Stick to the sites that want him out then then you won't be in the minority on here.
24 Sep 2025 13:11:02
Stalwart Aston Villa fans want the best for our Team, when we see things that aren't right it is completely acceptable to voice our concerns and opinions, to then classed as moaners is disrespectful and has no merit. If anyone doesn't like what is posted comment with the respect or keep shut.
25 Sep 2025 13:09:09
Same as your "Claret and Blue tinted glasses brigade"remarks Eh then Scott?
23 Sep 2025 09:19:57
Well, Monchi is set to leave. Jump or pushed? Either way it's not a total surprise.
I'm not sure many, if any, of his influenced signings have actually hit the mark.
I wonder what the fanbase opinion is of this. I'm guessing at least 70% will not be overly upset about it.

Owner's sending a strong message, Monchi out, Emery buck your ideas up or your next, let's hope it has the desired affect. Monchi has done absolutely nothing other than oversee the most disappointing transfer purchases, good riddance.
It's about time the owners showed their teeth, I hope this sends a message to everyone on the pay roll enough is enough, these proven successful business men have, like the fans had enough, it time for things to change, anyone not ready to up there game should be history. Let's hope we can see some changes over the next four games, if not more heads will roll, the warning is clearly out there.

Appears they are still trying to sell tickets for Thursday, where are all these corporate, and 30, 000 on the waiting list . Was saying last week, if things start to go wrong, they will be looking to all the people they've been trying trying to push out . Just shows, last season the tickets sold well, if it's the bad run we've had, or just people only want CL . UTV

Spot on I’m going even though after the juventus game last year I said never again will I watch a Italian team. Hopefully we get going this game and it’s not a boring 0-0 as I’m sure they would love that
22 Sep 2025 20:53:17
Dave great point made.I will be there Thursday paid £55 for a ticket last season couldn't get a ticket for love or money and this is why we won't evolve as a club revenue will be down.Chris Heck got a lot of stick but you think back and put a sensible head on ( No disrespect intended there) He done a bloody good job through commercial and revenue sales. Some on here think it'd easy managing and running a football club but things like and as you put it so rightly where are those people now when your club need you more than ever. I've said it before and I'll stand by my statement we are the most Fickle fanbase in the whole of the country.
22 Sep 2025 23:39:57
Maybe it's because it's Bologna again.
23 Sep 2025 07:42:42
Spot on Daz. Last season Champions League quarter final, missed out on CL qualification this season as a result of an appalling refereeing decision and now after admittedly a poor start the football we play ‘stinks the place out’. The head of football operations has gone who has apparently overseen the most disappointing transfer business yet this is the guy who signed Tielemans, Diaby and Rogers and assembled a squad capable of challenging the best without bankrupting the club. To be honest any established manager with a track record of success looking at our fan base and how it responds in advesity should think very long and hard about taking the managers job at Villa Park reputations are established over time yet ruined in five minutes.
23 Sep 2025 10:15:11
Well that's football its not about past its about now what matters nobody cares what happend last season, and as for monchi he was awfull and i'm glad he's gone hopefully unai follows him aswell can't see him lasting long anyway be gone by early october
23 Sep 2025 10:20:30
Why would anyone leave their current club to come to us?
We enticed Emery with the promise of funds and then get hamstrung.
The likes of Glasner and Iraola are already working under very similar constraints.
The new revenue ratio rules will only make this worse unless the guy from Juve gets moving fast.
Maybe Monchi leaving is an issue with Emery not getting who he wants. The Luiz deal looks bad because Emery doesn't want to play the players we got in exchange, he doesn't play Malen and he didn't want to lose JJ.
The only real mistake for me was Onana, £50m was a big risk for his injury record and he just cannot stay fit.
23 Sep 2025 13:21:48
Disagree, onana, barkley, maatsen, malen, pau,
Barrench, illing jnr, neldelkovic, guessand, dobbing all bad signigs for money spent that's nearly 200mil wasted
Diaby, YT, elliot his only good signings
Duran was already signed by the owners b4 monchi came in overal he's been shocking we should look to get brightons dof and there main scout they seem to get all the gems where villa don't there's bargains to be had in alsorts of countrys if we look its not like we would play them anyway we start play our own youngsters which is very disapointing
23 Sep 2025 14:32:29
Dobbin doesn't count, that was just a PSR swap for Iroebugnam who was also never going to really play for us.
Ned was signed and loaned back before Monchi so not one of his.
Pau is decent but gets sold short by the players around him, just like Mings used to when he kept getting stick.
Maatsen is young and a decent back up who will hopefully improve.
Guessand hasn't had time to get used to the league yet and has shown glimpses.
Get Brighton people if you want to become Brighton. Their bargains are great to get a team to mid table, they won't be a top team. What has Dan Ashworth achieved since leaving them when expected to buy better quality?
23 Sep 2025 14:58:54
Maybe I was wrong about Ned, I honestly thought his agreement was before Monchi.
I'd put him in the same category as Enzo and Illing Jr though, good players that Emery hasn't even given a chance.
All 3 of those players were to cover positions we needed bodies for. There is an element of saying that Monchi shouldn't take players if Emery doesn't want them but Emery needed to accept he can't have £50m players in every position and on the bench.
23 Sep 2025 15:18:33
You get some signings right others no. In terms of Monchi signings they need to be seen in the context of the financial envelope we are operating in. So the obvious quality signings that Monchi brought in are Tielemans Diaby and Rogers, I would add Barkley to the list as well£5 million for a squad player ex England international is a snip. I would argue that both Maatsen a Dutch international and a player who played in a CL final not 2 years ago and Pau Torres a Spanish International are both decent signings. I would even go so far as to include Barrenchea in the list although he hasn’t played for us the amount of interest in him following his loan at Valencia says to me he’s a good player. And Malen I feel sorry for the guy he hasn’t had the opportunity of an extended run in the team nor in his favoured position coming in off the left. You may be able to question some of the other deals but overall I would say given the restrictions he has had to operate under he hasn’t played got more right than not
