Not Villa related, but Is anyone else enjoying the demise of Man Utd as much as me?
I'm not just talking about this game (as fab as it is!) I mean the fact that they're no longer even amongst the best of the rest let alone top 4 standard.

I don't know if it stems back to school days growing up in Redditch but yet half the schools supporting Man U or what, but I've always hated them, more or less on or with blues.
I guess some would possibly call it jealousy, but it's always just enraged me all the extras, bias and special treatment that they've always received.

I mean even now I can predict that MOTD and alike will lament their performance rather than praising just how good Brighton have been!

As a Redditch lad myself I'm with you, United losing is massively satisfying. There were a fair few glory supporters around during my school days in the 90s.

Must just be a redditch thing ? because i feel the same way taking copius amounts of satisfaction from their plight and ongoing ideas of nonsensical entitlement ?. Still want that 3 points at home against them though utv

Happy enough with that result and the changes to the team.

Hopefully no more talk of relegation and SG out now and we can try a few new things out during the last few games:

If we’re being totally honest Emi had a lot of chances before Smith was sacked where he did absolutely nothing and many were calling him a waste of money! I’m sure if this site let's you back far enough it would be an easy enough find.

Some players take time to adjust and adapt, you’re using the same logic to write off Coutinho that you’re using to big up Emi in fairness and there’s nothing to say the pair of them can’t play together. SG is still playing with what DS left him.
For all we know he wants to adopt a totally different formation and approach from summer onwards. It’s all just guess work.

Just be patient, from all of the interviews I’ve read since Phil joined Buendia is delighted to have him as a team mate and all the South Americans seem to be good friends off the pitch….

100% confirmed, seems figure is €20 which for me makes it a really good piece of business!

Welcome Phil onwards and upwards and great statement of intent especially getting it done already! Full pre season with us!

That’s some serious goal scoring pressure on Nkunku…

In all fairness I don't think it would take the full £50m I think they'd find it very hard to turn down 40, but a lot of it would depend on how much JWP wants the move. More often than not these days a player gets what they want regardless of a clubs valuation.

Haven’t seen 100% but being repeated in quite a few places now and seemingly more and more likely!

Shame about the consolation goal, but good result none the less!
Well predicted Whack! Unfortunate you didn’t have anything on it though!

What do you reckon for the Liverpool game? I’m just off to the bookies ?

Whilst I agree with this, I also have to be honest and say that I’m glad that Steve Bruce never got a chance to leave his mark on any of them.

I’ve not much of CC play outside of his chances with the first team, but I can’t say of those appearances made me think “oh wow” what a star. Where as I thought that after last weeks game seeming Tim for the first time properly? Whether it’s his lack of intent, his attitude or a lack of effort on behalf of the club, there’s clearly something wrong.

Whilst the examples given above are the one end of the scale when it comes to letting talent go, there’s also the other end where players are hyped to the hilt and then do zero with their careers.

I can remember people and pundits alike going crazy about macheda when he scored that wonder girl against us. what’s he done since?
