Note to mr. know. it all, I bet your one of them kids who has to eat all his sweets in one go Haha . The management team we have, are not mugs, you can bet they have targets they are working on . Depending on who they are, you have players on holiday, & the euros just finishing . What's the good of spending £ 40-50 m all in at once like you want and then come January you need more players . we are all suprised with the ones he has taken to Austria, but obviously these are the ones he needs to assess . we all agree, it is frustrating that not a lot seems to be happening, but personally after the shambles last season, I would rather he makes the right choices . Villa forever.

i don't disagree but newcastle line up is gona have the likes of shelvy richie gayle and we still have the same rubbish as last season with a few unkowns in it we still need a striker and a new midfield season starts early why wait till we start losing surely he knows we need wingers to feed our 2 giant strikers as we don't really have any at the club there's nothink to assess there we havnt got any go an buy some! we are aston villa a big club newcastle are buying from premier clubs we should be doing the same not buying unkowns again hoping 4 the best i said when we had this chairman talk is cheap if he does have all this money we should at least be buying the best of the rest of prem clubs not buying unkowns this gk got relegated for his italian club the reading midfielder is advarge i have seen him play elphick is only decent 1 b4 but iam worried his only 5.11 4 cbk that's small!

Well said i couldn't agree more mate we have been wasting time mate we have missed a couple of targets mate but there's loads of players to pick from mate as for wingers andre green an sellars mate an we have traore mate an sinclair.

Just looking around for players how about these ;Chris Samba, Jose Enrique, Stan (Captain Fantastic), Graham Dorrans, Martin Harnik, Dietmar Berbatov, Garston Ramirez all for nowt. Then Crouch and Lambert at £2m each, Then get rid of Gabby, Guzan, Bunn, Lescott, Sissoko, Bacuna, Sinclair, Gill, Kozak, Ayew, Sanchez, Gana, Westwood. There you go a few million in the bank and the deadwood out. Plus all of the signings already sorted. Easy isn't it lol. Come on you villans!

Funny that we did nothing last year with talented French foreign legion, and the last list is a top up to the youngster's we need to keep ie Grealish, Lyden, Amanvi, Troare, Vertout etc you also need experience, would you say don't resign Petrov I wouldn't. All I'm trying to say is experience is 80% towards not staying in the bluenose league.

We continue to struggle from the tenure of Lerner.
His failure to provide his managers with the right funds is now backfiring in a dramatic way.
The buy cheap policy means we are now saddled with players that no one wants.
The present owner does not appear to be any different as he reportedly said that there was £50m available to buy players.
Now DiM may have targets that we are totally unaware of, but it looks as if NUFC and LUFC are in the market and buying.
Our problems are as before, just the ow ers name is different.
I hope the DiM has irons in the fire and that they will glow with success very soon.

Oldvillan, sorry mate but you are starting all over again, same old, same old.
Give the people a chance, yes its slow but blimey you seem to have a problem with whoever owns Villa, you were obsessed with Lerner and you are already having a pop at Dr, Xia.
I could understand if we were 18 months down the road but jeeezzz, Have a bit of faith and patience.

Dave, you are right! I want evidence that we are in the ball game, not just in the league.
I pointed out that others are buying the players that posters are stating we should be in the market for bringing to VP. Also I said that DiM could have players that he is looking to bring in but we need more meat on the bones.
Lerner was a waste of time to AV and Xia has failed to show us the money that was suggested as being available.
Others are asking the same question as me and are equally frustrated. Even you have to admit that we are not very active in the transfer market while our main competition are well into a buying programme.
Because of the last few years of utter failure I "did" think that we would be leading the race but alas we are still making up numbers.
The old phrase of fail to prepare you prepare to fail is very true so hopefully we have prepared a list of targets that does not include the players already sold.
Should we achieve our objective I will happily apologise to your greater awareness of our current situation.

I have no greater awareness my friend, just a little more patience I think.
I am not knocking you, I am just fed up with the negativity around the place, I agree it is a bit slow but I think we have many Irons in the fire and we are just waiting for a couple of things to happen in or out.
We will be fine, we went like a bull at a gate last time, everyone was as happy as larry and look where we ended up.

Dave, I am a very positive person who believes that facts are not negative they are opportunities to improve.
I want some direct action that indicates we are in the hunt but so far we ain't running with the ball.
I like the DiM, Clark combo and think they will produce the goods but my concern is that I have not seen evidence that Xia is going to give the funds needed to DiM to get the quality of players we require.
Promises are all around. Let me see a real one.
Good luck to you my son and let us hope we can disagree in the Prem next year.

Icing on the cake boys in regard to our team from last year, because they have a fire proof contract (relegation makes no difference) they're all due a loyalty payment for last season (coz they're worth it right? ), and now even more good news, some have a loyalty payment due 'IF' they don't ask for a transfer before the start of the season!

hence why the likes of ayew's agent are behaving like a bunch of strumpets touting their players. disgrace, but technically speaking kosha! that's why they're still with us.

OMG there is so much drivel written on here!

So many people moan about not spending this not spending that etc etc .

I think we all need to have a little bit of a reality check guys.

The Lerner era started with MON spending lavish amounts of money on mostly overrated players with the exception of the odd gem .

I would prefer us to spend wisely and just get it right . Let's face it we have been a shower of poo for 5-6 seasons with buying crap and sacking managers left right and centre then paying them off .

This is money, You know what we all work hard to earn .

Xia has promised funds to spend . But ultimately the manger/ director of football has to spend it.

RDM needs to assess the squad to see what he needs prior to spending money . Let him do his job and stop whining. He may well look at the squad he has, and say they are all wanting to stay and fight and that the quality in the squad is enough to gain promotion.

Personally I think we have some technical gifted players . But we need some fighters particularly in midfield this tshibola guy looks a beast of a central midfield. which is somewhere we need to strengthen along with in goal and central defence . We have the Italian keeper on the way and the signing of Elphick.

Just all calm down let the manager do his job . What ever he needs I'm sure he will get . As Xia needs to keep the fans onside.
