Brilliant win, hard place to go . Big Sam was outstanding, some of his saves where pure class . How he never got man of the match, I don't know . Thor also had a great game, some of his passing was realy good . Overall a great team performance, we can certainly grind results out now . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

Great solid performance tonight . Terry showed, just how class he is, his reading of the game was brilliant . The whole defence looked realy on it . Hutton showed how he kept Teylor on the bench, good game again. Davis plays like seasoned pro, his hold up play is fantastic I know he scored a goal tonight, but I'm still not convinced by Snodgrass . Overall a good team performance, so let's keep it going. Roll on Saturday. Onwards&Upwards Villaforever
PS Villa 10
Brucie is playing people in form, that's why Hutton kept his place.

1.) 02 Nov 2017 06:57:15
I think if we moved Snodgrass into the middle in a number 10, where Onomah is playing, we’d see why he’s got the record he has.

2.) 02 Nov 2017 08:05:53
Bang on dave Dean mate.

3.) 02 Nov 2017 20:13:08
Grealish has to play in that roll.

4.) 02 Nov 2017 23:00:56
Grealish is Number 10 for me, Snodgrass just makes the bench, sometimes I think chrisAVFC just likes to disagree.

5.) 03 Nov 2017 06:55:38
I replied before any comment about grealish saying I want to see Snodgrass in the number 10, then people started commenting about grealish in that position, I haven’t commented since. Give your head a wobble villajk.

6.) 03 Nov 2017 09:53:57
To me Grealish is good on the ball but lacks an end product and work rate. Snoddy works his socks off and his delivery into the box gives the forwards a chance - how many times have we seen Jack the lad run into blind alleys? too many, that means the pace of the game slows down and we lose possession. Grealish would also be behind Green for me.

7.) 03 Nov 2017 11:38:33
Average Jack waste of a shirt for me.

8.) 03 Nov 2017 12:39:15
Don’t disagree boys, you’ll get in trouble.

9.) 04 Nov 2017 13:39:43
I do prefer Snodgrass over grealish in the no. 10 role. But that being said, we are now playing as a core cohesive unit and it would be interesting to see Grealish play in a team that is getting it together. He hasn't had the opportunity to play in a descent team over the last 2 years.

Personly I'd play same side, against the noses, you can bet they will pack midfield . I think that midfield would be to strong for them, especially if we play them high up and climb all over them . We have to work hard close them down with nowhere to go . i'd also give Davis &OHare a good 30mins to finish them off . If Snodgrass isn't up for it, I'd give OHare a run out . O Hare looks for the ball, makes good runs and picks out a good pass and also isn't afraid to put a tackle in . So come on you Lions, show them who's the top Midlands team and shut them up . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

1.) 26 Oct 2017 01:44:59
Same team but swap Davis for the kod as he'll bully defenders like Morrison did for millwall last week.

19 Aug 2017 18:03:13
What a revelation Davis was, a forward that can actualy hold the ball up . The difference that made to our midfield, it aloud them to get forward . The biggest was Hoorihane
, he was like a differant player . Taylor and Green where great down the left, the one twos and making space for each other . A pity we aren't as strong down the right, Hutton got caught out that many times . When Gabby is fit again, I just hope Brucie dosent throw him back in . we have seen of Davis and O Hare, the kids have non stop movement and effort . Get them in, make room for them . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

1.) 19 Aug 2017 18:49:10
Loved Davis' hold up play today! Was like he had filled that missing link since Benteke left. Thought Bruce was spot on with sub for Hutton but there again my mom could have made that call. Houlihane was silky and movement great, excellent hatrick and Green's goal sublime. Even thought Lansbury was improved when he came on! Look forward to Bristol and Bruce keep the same team! VTID.

2.) 19 Aug 2017 22:40:48
Agree leave Gabby on a bench if he had played today, the resault would have been different.

3.) 20 Aug 2017 12:19:01
On a park's bench🤣.

4.) 20 Aug 2017 14:24:15
Safari park bench.

5.) 20 Aug 2017 15:33:39
As near too the lions as possible!

27 Jul 2017 00:10:05
Anyone else heard the rumour, Mica to Forest. I do hope it's true . Onwards and Upwards, Villa forever.

1.) 27 Jul 2017 08:49:52
Not heard that rummor,
I as well hope it's true but wages are a big issue unless we pay more than half towards them,
You never know strange things happen in transfer windows with surprises galore.

2.) 27 Jul 2017 17:09:44
yes true lets, hope he can Gabby with him.

3.) 27 Jul 2017 17:33:26
you missed the word take.

Playing in the snow, white ball &against a team in white crazy.

13 Mar 2018 23:44:16
Didn't see that coming, honestly thought they would set up to stop us . As it happened they didn't have to, didn't win one 50-50, could'ent pass, & every header went to a hooped shirt . Weve had this happen before, good Saturday, jaded Tuesday . Honestly thought, with the effort put in on Saturday, Btucie would freshen it up tonight . We have players like the Jedi, who struggle with two matches in a week . Also Jack& Albert are only just coming back to fitness . Hope Hutton is back soon, Taylor has no confidence and is indisicive . We now appear to be back in the realms of, playoffs, or hopefully somebody else cocks up . All we can do is keep winning, every game really is like a cup final .
Roll on Saturday Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

1.) 14 Mar 2018 06:35:12
Have to say unfortunately saw this coming and was not surprised. Think Saturday took great effort mentally and physically and last night we were tired and not at all at the races. Classic case of not being able to lift ourselves for the after the Lord Mayors show. Expect play offs but still time for the odd twist and turn. UTV.

11 Mar 2018 22:10:37
One thing that surprised on Saturday, was that the wolves did not have a plan B . They have become I suppose, that used to turning teams over, that when it didn't work on us, they where lost in what to do . Also I agree with all that you are saying about Bruce . He has certainly, turned the Villa around . The whole infostructture, outlook and vibe of the club has changed. Long may it carry on and take us back to where we belong . Dr T has certainly made his mark as well . With Bruce, Dr T, our brilliant players and our unbelievable support, who is going to stop us Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

1.) 11 Mar 2018 22:59:58
They seemed to just look to use the wide areas, and their wings backs constantly hugged the touch line. That’s largely why they lost, when they tried to hit the big long diagonals I’d guess only 3 or 4 out of about 12 came off, most the time they was over hit and went out of play and the other times their lads couldn’t control it and we either nicked it or they put it out of play. We did well to nullify their flare players like Jota by simply crowding them out, they always seemed to run into bodies if they took more than one touch.

10 Mar 2018 22:01:39
Brilliant complete team performance . Bit worried first half, when we sat back and let them play . What a difference second half, limbed all over them, fought for every ball . You can go through the whole team,11man of the match . To totally destroy a team like Wolves, was unbelievable . How great to see &hear a full Villa Park, with every body going home with a saw throat . This is what we need week in week out, make the Park a feared place . Roll on Tuesday, let's keep the roll going .
PS Message to T O T L, we are coming to take your place . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

07 Mar 2018 21:11:59
The Austrailian fan I was on about, has been invited into Dr Tony's box for Saturday's game . Well done Dr T,

Nice to see were off the Mark, first one in . Mainbob from what they say, he's comfortable playing in a range of positions . Somebody like this could be realy useful over the rest of the season . He should certainly ad some power and energy where ever he plays . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

Walkies for the first time ever, I agree with everything you have said . Albert is one on his own, Weelen had his best game for us and for his age Davis is outstanding . The way he holds that line on his own, is mature beyond his years . Start adding a few goals, for the compleat package . Leeds won't be looking forwards to playing us, as the home team the pressure will be on them . With the confidence we have gained over the last few games, We should give them a good game and come away with something . But we need to be up for it and at our best . So roll on Friday Onwards& Upwards Villaforever.

Villadave very good point, funny enough my son said the same on the way home Tuesday . Nice to see Bruce, agrees he should have freshened it up and not gone with same players . Obviosly he doesn’t read this page HaHa, enough posters made the comment . All we can do is keep winning and we can play our part in turning up the volume at the park . Bob I certainly agree with Sid, what a player he was . As you say he made David Platt into the player he was at Villa . Mentioning Platt, he’s the only ex Villa player I’ve heard who never seems to have a good word to say about the club .
Tonight let’s hope there is no sitting back, after the euphoria of Saturday . QPR will be out to try and stop us playing tonight, they will make it hard . Hopefilly, with Jack, Albert& Snoddy, we will have more than enough to unlock them Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

Mainbob i'd ad another couple of PEWS to that Certainly edge of the seat stuff . Our luck certainly holding out at the moment, it's luck that evaded us last season . From the first couple of minuets, the cometary team, where saying how sluggish Onomah looked, you can't just hang a leg out and hope for the best . I was suprised to see Weelan playing, Especialy after the way Thor had fitted in . But I hold my hands up, it sounded as if he had a good game (and a goal ) . Snoddy seems to get better and better, you can see why West Ham want him back . Nothing is ever a cert but, QPRs thrashing at home today, sets rt up nice for next week . Certainly thought OHare would be on the bench today . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.
