Just got back from Cardiff, this makes the total distance I have travelled to Leeds and Norwich and today nearly 900 miles and 400 quid. I have witnesed garbage and not a single goal. I don't know how you optimists can see any improvemnt. Bruce is a good guy but things need to change any change quick because what is being served up is atrocious crap.

02 Jan 2017 22:45:04
So all in all its your fault. your a bad luck charm STOP GOING TO GAMES.

02 Jan 2017 22:56:34
Tip for you hopeful don't go to any more matches you must be bad luck then.

02 Jan 2017 23:56:30
Villadaz, i didn't go to a single away game after Bournemouth last year so it ain't me, it's the lack of quality not bad luck!

03 Jan 2017 00:35:02
Nothing's changed. other than the points per game we're picking up, but you know, that's not important.

03 Jan 2017 08:20:29
Hopeful, you are very brave.
Too many people see the flowers without looking at the roots .
Most of the problems stem from rash buying but this should be in the past.
Let us hope that Bruce is in front of the queue this month for the annual sales but the bargains will be difficult to find.
If one really wanted to be cruel there are possibly only half a dozen that should remain and the rest can go to other pastures.
Keep the faith and stay with your belief.

03 Jan 2017 11:10:00
I don't think there's any "flowers" oldvillan, but the roots are certainly there. Winning games, picking up points that's what we need now. The flowers and fancy football can come later, I couldn't care if the ball went in off gabbys muffin top as long as it meant we won. Let Bruce have some transfers, balance the side and improve quality and then we will know if we can make the play offs.

03 Jan 2017 11:45:25
Chris we have 6 that are the only players worth a light. CHESTER, BAKER, AMAVI, ADOMAH, MCCORMACK AND KODIJA.
Not sure about Grealish, inconsistent.
Hepburn Murphy needs to start.
The rest should be got rid. Impossible I know but if Bruce is to succeed then a complete regrouping is essential.
Too many players with the wrong mentality, desire, loyalty and honesty on the pitch.
I am with you about goals, anytime from anywhere, through balls to someone that can score the simple goals.
How many simple goals have we scored?
6 players ok, how is Bruce going to get more to play how he wants?
We should have a rosy future with Bruce and Xia but not with the rubbish that take our money.
I await the retorts of negative post but that's the way it goes. It's what I see on the pitch that is there for all to see.

03 Jan 2017 12:45:15
Oldvillain wise and profound words no one should criticise given facts. let's hope tony and brucie see what the majority of honest fans like you see.

03 Jan 2017 14:34:54
"No one should criticise" may aswell have wrote "my opinion is right and no other opinions count". Oldvillan I agree with what your saying although I do think Jedinak is useful and we should keep Gollini as our second choice, but yes the rest should go. However my point is if we're getting points and wins with this team, imagine what we will be like when Bruce gets his own team in. He won't be able to do that until atleast next summer after 2 windows, so for now we need players to fill problem positions and get out the division. Forget the fancy football, or seeing the team play well, that can come next year, results will do for now.

03 Jan 2017 14:37:04
I do think it runs deeper than the playing staff.

There is a mentality through out the whole club that is poisoned.
There has been for years, I think the good dr, and Bruce is the first step to get it out.

Think about it. we buy on paper quality players. and we have seen season after season them not performing, no matter who is coaching, they turn negative, we take a lead, they defend it. never a killer instinct. We even started to defend a 0-0.
That is not coached. it's a collective decision.

I don't know how as a club we get rid of it.
I just know it's painful, I do think that we as supporters, fans and everyone involved with the club are as much to blame.
With this I mean we expect success.

This season for example, we expect promotion, nothing else.
Last season we got Remi in, (terrible decision I agree) and expected him to get us safe. (I know that's not success as such, but given our position when he arrived! )
All this is pressure.

I don't know. perhaps lowering our expectations might help them to raise above them?

03 Jan 2017 14:47:24
Bruce needs sacking
He is a dinosaur now and we need a young up and coming manager who beleives in youth and attacking football.
How Bruce can keep on playing gabby, Westwood, Hutton, Gardner is beyond me,
Looking forward to seeing the same type of uninspiring signing to come in now,
Never wanted Bruce from day one and the sooner he goes the better,

03 Jan 2017 15:06:27
Bruce needs sacking?
Have a word?! Jesus.

03 Jan 2017 15:19:59
Yes the man must go!
The football on offer is now worst than ever,
He talks a good game but that's all I'm afraid.

03 Jan 2017 15:27:20
Hahahahaha
Ok!

03 Jan 2017 15:35:05
I take it your a fan?

03 Jan 2017 15:39:08
The guy has turned out fortunes around with the same squad that was struggling and you want him out? Some people are never happy! Go support Real Madrid or Barcelona.

03 Jan 2017 15:42:08
It's my opinion,
We can't all love the manager can we?
Never liked him and never will,

03 Jan 2017 15:59:35
It's not about liking the guy it's about appreciating and acknowledging what he has done in the short time he has been here. always will be potato head but if he gets us up who cares.

03 Jan 2017 16:40:23
Never seen Mainbob on here before, 100 million percent a troll, come on mate behave yourself.

03 Jan 2017 16:46:15
Shoulda got Bruce in the summer, RDM was a 'sexy' appointment, the only mistake Dr Tony has made so far. But, he's had to make do with what he was left with and has got some results. Ideally we should do our transfer business early so we can have a proper go at it, still think we could go up automatic.

I'd still give Jedinak the benefit of the doubt that he'll show his worth to the team as the 1st line of defence, ain't expecting 30 yard screamers off him.

We need 2 midfielders that will go straight in the team, Will Hughes and i'd take gamble on Ravel Morrison. Would love Trippier at RB, and Chery in a front 3 with Kodjia and Adomah. That would add a bit of excitement to our play too. Looks like Johnstone from Man Utd is coming so there's our business done apart from players out.

Morrison and Trippier are the 1's I'll get shot down for but add those players to the list OldVillan gave and that's a team that should rip the championship apart, won't cost the earth, and would be happy to go into the Prem with that plus whatever players of extra quality Sky's money would get us

UTV.

03 Jan 2017 18:20:30
Not a cat in hells chance of going up automatically Allyp.

03 Jan 2017 19:54:32
Until it's mathematicaly impossible, and with some quality signings, I'm not giving up hope

UTV.

03 Jan 2017 21:10:39
Your right mate, we can't.

But seriously do you honestly think that we would be better off with another manager change right now?

And are you objectively saying that results have. It improved since said managers arrival?

And given that he turned results slightly around, do you honestly not think he should be given a chance to bring in his own players?

Remember, not one of these players are his signings.
And just possibly could he be playing certain players to prove a point to the good dr about where we need to strengthen?

02 Jan 2017 18:20:05
Upside is that we are back above the Bluenoses on goal difference - which we weren't at half-time. We need consistency now for the second half of the season as we are still seven points off a play-off place. However, without the intervention of Brucey, it is quite possible that we would have been languishing somewhere between Wigan and Rotherham just now - and I don't mean in the middle of the Peninnes.

02 Jan 2017 20:59:43
Can someone please tweet tony and ask him to pull rank on bruce and tell him never to play Westwood or gardener ever again. by a mile worst midfield in the league. 9 touches between them. tells you everything. absolutely disgusting.

03 Jan 2017 17:13:19
And Gabby.

02 Jan 2017 16:59:45
Can't help but think this game was lost when the teams was announced. I don't rate Gustede at all but when your coming up against the most physical team in the league you have to have a focal point, but instead of holding him for one extra game we let him sod off to Middlesbrough. That being said anyone can beat anyone on the day with a bit of quality but we played McCormack up top alone and in the whole first half, 45 minutes of football we gave him the ball into feet once?!?! It would of helped if someone told the lads Ross was starting not Gustede or Kodja! The midfield is to weak to string together any sort of winning run both at home and away from home, that needs sorting asap. Referee was an absolute shambles, that was borderline UFC at some stages, fair play to Grealish for just getting on with it. The season isn't over and play offs is still possible but to have any hope we need a midfield asap! And a striker who can be a pivot for the team whilst kodja is gone!

02 Jan 2017 17:08:05
Tom Cairney or will Hughes needed.

02 Jan 2017 17:21:20
We need a complete new midfield finch, the players we have not good enough, we need bite, creativity and energy.
Its been obvious for two seasons now.

02 Jan 2017 17:22:30
We have plenty of physical guys mate.
however to play justhead you go one dimensional, and tell the opposition exactly what way you will play.

Being able to mix up play is more important.
They scored a crazy goal, and we missed many chances, again. However if we had played the for mentioned, chances are those chances wouldn't of come about. and let's be honest, he would of missed them.

Poor result, not sure I agree poor selection.
We need better, players and results. with out a Rudy it's a step in the right direction.

02 Jan 2017 18:01:32
Flackie you know I agree with you on Gustede, but we needed someone to occupy a centre half today, and if they are playing like his in the team then we may aswell play him. McCormack service was a disgrace. We need a left mid and an energetic box to box creative mid to play next to Jedinak, and someone to play next to McCormack whilst kodja is gone. If we went out and got Robbie Brady, a striker (Rhodes, Hogan, Hernandez) and someone like dare I say it Delph, then games like today we win 2-1 or 2-0. Time to strengthen now and push on, two weeks before wolves let make them count!

02 Jan 2017 18:19:43
I agree mate, all accept then play him, I think he offers less than any other player in that position.
I don't buy into the fact that the opposition even think 'Donald Trump they playing Rudy, we need to do this, or do that! '
I bet they breath a sigh of relief, and relax every time his on the team sheet.
He can't score
He can't control
He can't run
He can't pass
He can't read a game
He has no positioning sense
Yes he gets his head to the ball, but it's like his head is the shape of a 50p coin! He has no idea where the ball is going after he 'heads' it.

He is, I'm sure a nice guy, but he is a poor footballer.
And one we are better rid of, Jordan Rhodes is 10x the player.
If the deal sees him coming the other way, we surely have committed the crime of the century!

I would rather gabby in the side than Rudy justhead, and I'm sure that tells you everything.

02 Jan 2017 18:39:09
(Ed?! Lol great edit using Donald trump! Didn't realise I obviously said something to edit! But that's quality! )

{Ed001's Note - I have been using it since he got elected and you are only the second person to notice!}

02 Jan 2017 18:49:50
Thats twice in 2 days you made me laugh out loud.

Who are you?
And what you done to Jesus?!

{Ed001's Note - I am just full of the joys of life after my 2016th birthday a week or so ago....}

02 Jan 2017 18:51:42
I know this might upset ed but what about a cheeky bid for Dembele from the hoops. A long shot I know but him and RM worked well together at Fulham and money talks after all.

{Ed001's Note - wouldn't upset me at all. Ed007 would cry if he moved but not me! Having said that, there is little chance of him leaving Celtic just yet. Sadly, as I would love to wind him up if he left Celtic for a Championship club!!}

02 Jan 2017 13:22:55
ok i take it all back, we was wrong to sell troare to boro.

i mean he brings so much to the team that we miss.

first there is the head down and run,

then head down run and fall over,

cant forget head down and run into a player,

also he's got the run head down-lose the ball and stand watching as the other team attack

and last of all head down and run and put in a awful cross to no one.

{Ed001's Note - you missed the head down and take it off the toe of a team mate while blocking his run into space.....}

02 Jan 2017 13:40:27
You also forgot the extra employment he gave to physios and med staff.

{Ed001's Note - that's a very good point, all those medical staff in Brum are now out of work due to him leaving....}

02 Jan 2017 13:48:34
There is a rumour, if Kozak leaves as well they will go part time!

{Ed001's Note - hahaha, harsh but true....}

02 Jan 2017 13:53:34
is bad I've just seen a left footed left back put in a better cross with his "weak foot" than I've seen adama ever put in.

{Ed001's Note - I am beginning to get the idea you don't rate him. Call it a hunch but I am just getting this little inkling. I am very perceptive though, so I doubt anyone else will have noticed, don't worry.}

02 Jan 2017 14:00:11
to start with i thought he looked bad as we was just that poor last season,

{Ed001's Note - no he was awful in Spain too, it was an odd choice to sign him. Usain Bolt should take notice, being a sprinter does not make you a good footballer.}

02 Jan 2017 15:49:49
I believe it was a choice of either a move to Boro or to the Spanish Paralympic squad on account of the fact that one of his legs doesn't work properly .

02 Jan 2017 07:52:03
Has anyone seen "Josh Morris of Scunthorpe" play? Is he any good?
He has scored 10 goal for them in League 1. For a midfielder, that is a good number.
I know league 1 is nothing as compared to Championship but that guy is ripping that league apart.
He will come cheap as well.

02 Jan 2017 11:34:14
I think we are past looking for cheap. and I'm not sure it's worth taking another gamble on whether someone is ready/ good enough.
We need tried and tested.

02 Jan 2017 15:27:10
He don't look too bad tbh, if I'm right he plays in the same division as Dele Alli was plucked from and he ain't done too bad for himself. There's gems everywhere and they just need to be given a chance, same goes for our youngsters

UTV.

02 Jan 2017 15:42:58
I agree Flackie and Allyp has a valid point too.
I was just reading about him today and he has done a good job so far.
Had to ask this because I have never seen him play.
