Has Davis being turned by the stories of man utd/ everton/ arsenal looking at him?
Turning down his contract offer!
This will not be the first to get heads turned I fear,

Mainbob

1.) 01 Oct 2017 14:15:17
Plus his agent advising him to hold out as Villa will surely increase the offer. I hope it does not get drawn out as that's not good for anybody!

2.) 01 Oct 2017 18:59:11
Where are you reading his turned down a contract offer?

3.) 01 Oct 2017 19:25:44
I read it as well. He turned it down instantly bit villa coming back with no. I wonder if his agent is the same as Hepburn Murphy's. As that would explain allb.

4.) 02 Oct 2017 04:19:00
The jibba-jabba out there is saying his agent wants him playing top tier asap, and needless to say arsenal have been flashing a bit of ankle in his direction, i don't get it, if he chips off to a top premiership club he won't get any game time, so either his agent wants a bigger slice of the pie;or the boy has massive belief in his abilites, nothing wrong with self belief, or maybe he feels with the kodg. back, he might get less playing time, i just hope we sort him out a good deal, but arsenal have been sniifing around for a while now, come on villa, splash the cash will ya!

5.) 02 Oct 2017 04:34:15
Just been sharking around on forums and one or two are saying that everton are watching, but the club showing a big interest are the spuds, seems he ticks the boxes for being young, english, powerful, skilled, not afraid to have a go against whoever, and importantly, wouldn't cost an arm and a leg to buy at the moment, maybe the young lad we got on loan from the spuds has turned his head;a young team with a young, progressive manager, who knows, all i know is get him signed up asap!

6.) 02 Oct 2017 08:34:14
It's BS.

7.) 02 Oct 2017 09:30:02
I put these stories about Davis down to agents putting the feelers out for there own greed,
Never been a fan of agents in the game but we are stuck with them now,
The agent behind the pogba deal got by all accounts 24 million?
That is utterly madness,

8.) 02 Oct 2017 12:05:51
The same website also said that Ross McCormack was 100% signing for Sunderland.

9.) 02 Oct 2017 13:30:52
That story was almost right chris, in the end wee jimmy cranky wanted a loyalty bonus from us and sunderland wanted us to pay some of his wages, needless to say the handbrake went up on that deal!

10.) 02 Oct 2017 13:51:46
Just look at the other stories from the website, 0 credibility.

11.) 02 Oct 2017 16:10:31
I'm not saying every story is correct, far from it, the davis story does seem to have legs unfortunately, also the mccormack story did have substance, sunderland tried to extract the micheal and we told them, they pay all the wages or they could jog on, and the result speaks for itself, and the loyalty payment request, you couldn't make it up!

12.) 02 Oct 2017 17:20:57
I don't see how it can have legs if their the only place reporting it, the other random places all state them as their source. Normally if a story has substance there's 5 or 6 reporters on it, in the main papers. This is one man on a bullabod website, with the only correct articles on it coming after the thing their reported have taken place. They have articles days apart headlined, "villa set to miss out on England international defender" then after we signed him, "villa secure signing of John Terry". Come on.

13.) 02 Oct 2017 23:51:38
Chris-the keinan story has been in the red top national papers a few weeks back, and also the sunday red tops, i guess its fair to say the secret is out, we got ourselves a corker of a player, all we need to do now is give him no reason to think about looking elsewhere, and that's diwn to brucey's man management skills and steve round proving his worth negotiating with agent, time will tell.

14.) 03 Oct 2017 07:27:37
Papers don’t put articles up and they expire, if it’s been in the red tops it will still be there. I’ve looked it’s not. Find me a link and I’ll admit I’m wrong, however at the moment this is all BS and there’s nothing to discuss.

15.) 03 Oct 2017 17:50:25
Chris-i'm not trying to trump you fella, but you asked and i can say the story was in the currant bun on the 28 sept. , when i get a few moments i'll try and find the story in the others mate, but it doesn't really matter, i think the bottom line is we got ourselves a gem of a player, and unless we sort him out a good deal, some prem. clubs are going to try and pick our pocket pretty soon, so let's not dilly dally on this one i hope.

27 Sep 2017 13:19:28
Hear a few of the top scouts from the premier looking at Davis,
Hope that he gets a 5 yr deal with villa,
We have to expect this and o'hare and Hayes will also have some admirers,
We really need to go up this season to help us keep these young talented players.

Mainbob

1.) 27 Sep 2017 15:20:06
Totally agree mainbob we must hang on to the crop of yongsters that we have coming through. Its the best crop that we have had for a while. At the end of the day they are our future.

2.) 27 Sep 2017 16:47:04
He's played a handful of games but even just for what his shown in those games we should be handing him a 5 year deal with a huge, astronomical buy out clause. Easy to get carried away with young players just breaking through but just for the chance he might fulfill the potential we shouldn't let him slip away.

21 Sep 2017 16:06:41
There are big rummors going around that Bruce has lost the dressing room,
When lansbury was took of on Tuesday he told Bruce to piss off by all accounts,
And Whelan gave Bruce the armband and was told to calm down by Bruce,
They had a blazing row and after the game,
Now I don't now if it's true or not I'm just putting it out for debate
I'll leave it to you all to decide,

Mainbob

1.) 21 Sep 2017 17:12:15
I'm saying BS, they could at least put effort into this crap, Lansbury was injured.

2.) 21 Sep 2017 17:59:42
It could well be bull.
Most rummors are just that rummors with no substance,
But there are the occasional ones that need looking more deeply into.

3.) 21 Sep 2017 23:12:58
In football you will always upset players especially if you got a big squad like Aston Villa I don't think Bruce has lost the dressing room there might be a few unhappy players but that's because there not playing week in week out! where did this rumour come from?

{Ed033's Note - It doesn't appear to be a rumour, it seems to be a rummor (possibly from Inspector Jacques Clouseau).

4.) 22 Sep 2017 10:24:12
If Bruce has lost the dressing room, perhaps someone should tell him - it's down the tunnel on the left .

5.) 22 Sep 2017 16:25:05
I’m guessing this rumour started at about 4pm Thursday on a villa forum.
Big big rumour! Lol.

28 Aug 2017 16:43:27
There are strong rummors to Martin Johnson from Oxford?
2-3 million,
Can't see it myself but just putting it out there for discussion.

Mainbob

1.) 28 Aug 2017 18:41:00
Think we're done now, need to get rid of a few desperately, how big is the senior squad now?

2.) 29 Aug 2017 11:20:52
1 more deadline day in on loan 3 players out.

3.) 29 Aug 2017 12:37:36
If I'm honest can't see anymore signing in!
We are struggling to get rid of the garbage we have,
Can see 2 going out.

4.) 29 Aug 2017 14:30:18
will be a loan striker in but will depend on McCormack going out.

5.) 29 Aug 2017 16:04:58
Will it be David Selke kingy? He's been at bodymore before.

6.) 29 Aug 2017 16:10:41
Will it be David Selke kingy? He's been at bodymore before.

7.) 29 Aug 2017 16:11:11
Dwight Gayle told he can go?
Anybody!

8.) 29 Aug 2017 16:32:19
That's a solid rumour Mainbob, he wants out, don't know if we're in for him tho, last few days of the window and anything could happen

UTV.

9.) 29 Aug 2017 17:27:29
Scored loads for Newcastle last year and their willing to let him go, that's nice of them😂 Would be a quality signing but think we've got enough players as it is, unless one of the main strikers leave can't see him coming in.

27 Jan 2017 16:42:24
Is the latest tweet from the dr saying that there is a 75% chance of an exchange deal?

Mainbob

1.) 27 Jan 2017 17:45:08
You mean the one that says 75%- (75%+X)? I would assume that means there is a 75% chance of us getting an incomer with an associated outgoer plus some cash. So Rhodes for Grealish plus some cash.

2.) 27 Jan 2017 19:27:16
I would prefer it to be 75% for hogan with McCormack as Part of the swap . we can but dream

Now that Leicester have sacked there manager could Bruce be a replacement?
Could we be that lucky!

Mainbob

1.) 17 Oct 2017 18:34:34
If I said this I would be castigated lol.

17 Oct 2017 08:03:09
I see the u21 played well again last night with o'hare man of match,
Bruce only brings this kid on when we are losing in the final minutes of game,
He brings a spark whenever he plays and surely needs more playing time,
I also think that lyden needs to replace Whelan,
Not only is he younger he scores the odd goals and will bring more pace to the midfield,
We have some decent young players and should not be disgarded
We do have a record of young players not getting enough game time,

Mainbob

1.) 17 Oct 2017 09:38:22
Mainbob what worrys me is we have no pace in the team and when we do play teams with pace eg Wolves and Cardiff we don't cope well. Pace in football terrifies people even the blues have pace with vassell now we need to bring players through slowly I know but when you have people like Glen whelen who can't keep up with play anymore and even Jedinak its a old midfield with them. footballs a young mans game so why not give youth a chance? Last month was a easy month for us but we still did well if I was offered the playoffs now I would take it.

2.) 17 Oct 2017 10:13:13
A few premiership scouts at the game last night,
How long before we lose the likes of o'hare/ lydon/ hayes/ sulaman?
I can see this coming and Bruce needs to get them involved in and around the squad,
These players above are all very talented and must not be allowed to leave while we have the likes of certain players who should have left this club years ago but are still here!
No guessing who I'm talking about,

3.) 17 Oct 2017 13:41:48
Not this again, there’s scouts at every game.

16 Oct 2017 08:15:03
Not got any problem with villa losing a game of football as long as they put in effort to try to win the game themselves,
But Saturday's game was not acceptable for me on the lack of effort by most of the players essentially in a derby,
The most one-sided derby you can get and wolves players must think Christmas came early for them,
We played the best team in championship for playing attacking football yet where was the closing down and the game was to open to allow there flair players to run riot,
You can blame the players or the manager for lack of awareness but one thing is clear we need a win Saturday because with birmingham coming up the following week it could really be crunch time,
We are still in touch with top 2 which is good because other results went our way and we did not lose any ground in table,
So come on villa put the Fulham side to the sword and show our great fans that you really want to get us back to the promised land,

Mainbob

1.) 16 Oct 2017 12:54:12
Well said Mainbob, the one thing that worries me about fulham is that they play till the final whistle, don't give up, and i think i"m right in saying they've either won or rescued a game in the last ten minutes on a regular basis, so here's hoping brucie makes them put down their doughnuts and have a fruit and veg smoothie instead!

2.) 16 Oct 2017 13:20:28
Classof82

I agree about Fulham,
They to are a good footballing side with some serious pace in side in forward area's
We will struggle against these type of sides due to our lack of pace in defence area's
Whelan and Terry were really up against it on Saturday and when the blues game comes around the following week they two have now some pace up top with vassel and Adams,
It's going to be a very interesting next 2 games that's for sure,
Up the villa anyway!

3.) 16 Oct 2017 13:23:39
I have said it time after time that we are the most unfit side in championship
We can't play high tempo football for longer than a few minutes
We tread treacle in second half on a regular basis,
What are our players doing at bodymoor?

4.) 17 Oct 2017 05:01:39
I reckon their dodging the salads and going for the stodge Mainbob! as for fitness, a couple of talking heads on the radio were saying they thought brucie has adopted the slow-burn technique, apparently meaning kinda steady-eddie paced as a matter of course, with shòrt bursts of high tempo when able, not sure i agree with that explanation, but they said it means less injuries over the season, and coming towards the end of the season, in theory players have more in the tank to up their game? above and beyond my thinking, but there you go!

14 Oct 2017 19:05:15
We are being taught a footballing lesson tonight,
Wolves look champions for me,
It may be early to say that but I'm convinced they will be,

Mainbob

1.) 14 Oct 2017 19:28:27
Have to agree, Wolves top dogs, Jota superb and they are just passing the ball around the Villa.
I think the gulf in skill is huge.
So much for Brucies "we are going out to win" 1 shot on target and 6 shots all match.
I think a serious rethink is needed by the coaching staff.
I think our lack of ideas was apparent at the Bolton game and was exploited by a much better side tonight.

2.) 14 Oct 2017 19:31:52
I loss in 9 and we need a new manager, have a snickers pluffy.

3.) 14 Oct 2017 20:01:59
Where did I say change manager, I said we should look at our coaching as we appear predictable and easy to play against when teams pressure us.
So if I was you I would read things before you answer.
Perhaps the old addage its best to let people think you're an idiot than open your mouth and prove it.

4.) 14 Oct 2017 21:05:30
Ok so let me change it, one loss in 9 games and we suddenly need a coaching change. So you think the manager should change a trusted back room team with the majority of whom he’s previously been promoted with due to this result. Makes loads of sense. It’s one result, against one of the best teams in the league, we don’t need to change anything.

5.) 14 Oct 2017 21:39:14
I agree pluffy mate with your view but don't be to hard on Chris he has clearly miss read it but remember we are all Villa play nicely keep the angry side for the blues.

6.) 14 Oct 2017 21:54:55
Hi chris I think you have mis understood again, you mentioned in the week how wolves would play with Jota taking us apart but our management and coaching staff were unable to alter how we should play even though they must have watched how Wolves play.
I have never said sack anyone, I just think the coaches and manager should be able to work out a plan B for when we play sides like Wolves and Cardiff who you must admit have made us look second rate.

03 Oct 2017 10:55:26
Just a bit of fun,
Put down your choice of top 6 teams in any order come end of season,
My teams are ::
Wolves
Bristol city
Villa
Sheff utd
Cardiff
Leeds.

If I had to pick the top 2 than wolves and villa to go up together
Bristol city have really impressed me this year up to now and could be dark horses to get into top 2.

Mainbob

1.) 03 Oct 2017 13:10:24
I'd be very surprised if Boro are not in the top 6 come the end of the season. For me the top 2 will be Wolves and Villa, think they have the best first 11s in the division and Villa in particular have the best squad.

2.) 03 Oct 2017 19:59:21
My top six are and in order

Cardiff City
Leeds Utd
Aston Villa
Wolves
Bristol City
Ipswich Town

Villa of course to win the play off final against Wolves!

3.) 04 Oct 2017 09:20:41
Think Villa and Wolves to go up automatic, hoping Bristol don't go up so we can buy Baker back as Terry's replacement when he retires

UTV.

De-laet is our best option for left back.
He has played there many times in career,
But if Bruce puts thor in there again he is asking for trouble,
He was awful where last played there,
Clark is a good young fullback but can't see Bruce putting him in a derby game,
Whoever he plays will be tested by this exciting wolves side,

It's stupid talking about Bruce when and if we go up!
Concentrate on this season first,

I agree 2nd place is up for grabs and it will be a rollercoaster ride to the finish,
My fear is that as of now if villa and wolves went up together
Wolves would survive in staying in prem but villa would have to spend big again to survive,
As for Bruce in my opinion he should be replaced if we go up
He has proved a few times he is not tactical aware to play against the better sides,
But at moment he should be left to get us up,
The championship is his domain.

The wolves at present look a decent side with the big backing of fosen
They have a proven manager and have brought in top young Portuguese players,
They play a very adventurous way and they may or may not go up this season,
They have pace all over the pitch unlike villa who are pedestrian in build up play,
I really do hope villa and wolves both go up this season,
There is a good chance of that happening in my view
As for Whelan he needs to be dropped he offers nothing in my opinion,
Snodgrass is decent but I know he has not got great pace but he has good delivery on set pieces,
The main problem i see with villa is this slow tempo and lack of fitness,
Would like to see o'hare involved more and kodija needs a kick up back side,
