I would have benteke back in a second, he couldn’t hit a barn door at the minute but he’s a confidence player, and when with us he was the man, knew everyone loved him and thrived off it, look at the stats of strikers in his 3 years at villa, he was top 5 for goals in that time and that’s a fact, he was doing that for a relegation fighting team. He kept us up on his own more or less in two of those seasons and i put my house on it if he came back within half an hour of hearing the whole stadium on their feet singing ohhhh Christian bentekeeeee he’d be back to big strong centre forward, bullying centre halves holding it up, as good with his feet as he is in the air. That’s just my two pence, I agree with Dave at the minute he’s shocking but don’t think he’s over rated one bit, he’s earnt the reputation he has but low on confidence at the minute and doesn’t fit palace, we should use all this to get a good deal on him and take advantage of the situation. That’s the way I see it, just adding that because the topics come up but hopefully we can get promoted and spend all summer debating this, until then let’s not get our hopes up.
