Will probably post again in a few days when it's all calmed down but that midfield was awful, the lad from Iceland was awful, Hourihane was non existent what so ever, Kodja was too isolated. Was truly the worst performance I've seen this season, don't know where we go from here, Hogan is going to have to be our next miracle man if we want to move anywhere close to where we should be.

Played too deep all game. They pressed as a team and we did not. Massive spaces between our midfield and back 4. Lack of leadership from our skipper.

Poor villa team yet again. don't understand why we spend so much money on players who were all hoping to take us by storm. How much have we spent since we've been in the championship. I agree that the players have just come into a new team but none of them look like they've played before at championship level and were payed big money.
Surely we could of gone out and got premiership players who yes have to drop down a league and yea probably want high wages but we are spunking money regardless. I know it easier for the like of newcastle to attract such players based on tne highly likely chance they will be promoted but money talks nowadays we've all seen that from the chinese teams.

Brentford will not play that good in another 100 games, and they seemed to have a lot of decisions go their way too. As for us, sloppy, definitely need 2 up top because Kodjia can't cover the width of the pitch on his own. Can't get worse than tonight, onwards and upwards

We could see the tactics weren't working before half time. So why wait till the last 20 mins to put subs on? Why keep hoofing the ball up field? Why start all 3 new players? Should have played a 442 or even 451 till hogan comes in. I love bruce but can't help wonder why every game leaves every fan with so many questions

Well that should be it, Hogan and Taylor deals confirmed by the chairman on twitter. Only other thing that could happen is McCormack out- hope we don't because no doubt where ever he goes he'll end up scoring. But ignoring that this could easily go down as one of our best ever Windows, Bruce, Tony, Steve and everyone else should feel emensly proud. 19 games left and 9 points off the playoffs, let's start tonight, I'm feeling very confident. I'm not defending us I'm just saying If he puts that easy chance away it's 1-0 us and everyone is raving about lansbury and how good the pass was. And their 10 chances would not have happened as the goal changes everything. Instead we miss our chances and they score there's. Not good enough once again. Will hogan save us. I doubt it.
