What does worry me is that the Aston villa supporters trust group have asked for answers on what's going on yet not a peep!
Nobody at the club is telling us what's going on,
It's just the rummors we see in papers and blogs which we see,
I was a Dr xia supporter when he took over but the more I hear about him and not in this case the less I like,

Russia beating Spain has only strenghtened my belief in England, Spain looked a dangerous outfit so for me their exit is good news. You are right Mainbob it's their best chance in years until a poor referee decision goes against us which is the normal outcome.

I think England have in the past relied upon tried and tested players to much as opposed to playing in form players, I think Southgate is different in that respect so good luck to him.

I think columbia are underrated and we will be lucky not to go to pens. Best we will do in my opinion is 1- 0 to England,

I know people think we are doomed but I do seriously think we will still be in play offs, if we hit the ground running then who knows if kodja starts banging them in with hogan Davis ross mac then it could be good, even if grealish goes as well callum ohare could cover easy, it's going to be harder thou with stoke, baggies, my tip for automatic spots with villa, derby, Swansea, mboro, in play offs that's what I recon what are people's thoughts on new season.

I really do hope you are correct in your views on where villa will end up but sadly I think we will struggle mid-table,
Unless a new owner does appear with cash to invest on players.
But the longer this goes on I fear for us,
I think it all depends now over these 2 weeks,
When others in championship are strengthening we can't even bring in a freebie;
Plus the likes of spurs are waiting to bid for grealish as late in window so as to get him as cheap as possible
Will we panic and sell for 15mill?
I sincerely hope not,

Come on guys, try to look forwards not backwards.
Consider the possibility that we don't get any players in due to the failure of our leader.
We still have a squad that properly managed could prove good enough to finish in the top half of the championship.
Bruce will have to work with what we have and he must adapt his style not expect the players to change their styles.
All opportunities for goals don't come from the wing players so let's look at what other play can be good for us.
Brazil showed a great route one goal.
That should be where we look. Hogan is with us and we can't afford to unload him so let's use him as an old fashioned centre forward. Don't expect to see him in our box, let him come alive at the other end.
I am not comparing him with Bobby Smith of Spuds, yes years ago, but he seldom left the opposition half. He was a there to score and the players around him were merely a supply line. Not very big nor mobile, but had one objective, score.
Bruce must look at everything he has, must not dismiss any player.
Nothing to spend but everything to win.
If he fails to come up with the goods he may not get another chance.

I agree entirely, If new owners come aboard who knows what that may bring so I remain very optimistic about the clubs future, I'm certainly no more depressed than I was last season. You can take on board all the media reports of can't afford players, in deep trouble etc. but at the end of the day that can all very easily change, the coming weeks could just as easily turn out to be the making of the club, so to be honest I'm quite happy and content awaiting real news instead of all this garbage we keep reading. We have to cut our clothe to suit the style.
Players may not arrive so what we have is what we use.
Suit the players not the manager, play them to their strengths.
I do believe that we will be ok with the present players providing Bruce realises that you can't keep too a single style of play.
3 at the back can become 4 or 5.
1 up front can become,3,4,5.
Middle of the park can be anything you want.
But the minimum at the back has to be 3, at the front 1 runner.
If Bruce fails to change any new owners will ensure that he has a short reign.

In truth the future could and should be rewarding. but for us fans, maybe not do a owner's.
We will become a side that will promote and play our youth, fielding a team that cares and is hungry. This gives us the perfect opportunity to deliver this Villa style that we all hear of but don't see.
We need to recognise that our greatest selling point is no longer our history (history that made us appeal to ageing players) . but the future, the future we offer ourselves and the future we offer the players we bring through.

My point exactly, so why suggest that he is ready to turn down offers of interested parties when you admit yourself you know nothing of him and that many others don't either. A bloke in the pub told me that some Germans may be interested but I wouldn't bother to post it even on a banter page knowing it was so highly unlikely.
