anyone seen the link in the papers between Crystal palace and Super jack to replace zaha - they have got 2 chances a dogs chance and no chance.

1.) 27 Apr 2019 13:47:19
I live in the south and this story has a lot going for it locally.
Another story is that the deal is almost done that if we don't get promoted then Jack will be in white next year.
I have told my Spuds mates that he is too good for them.
They tell me that he's not worth £20m.

Many Spuds fans have car reg N17. see if you spot one.

{Ed001's Note - Pochettino would love to sign Grealish. The only thing that has stopped it happening is that Levy would never agree the asking price or payment terms.}

2.) 30 Apr 2019 15:24:56
Spurs yes if Villa are in championship - Palace no chance.

I think we need a reality check here regarding the up coming season. if you take away the dreadful start 10 points from 11 games and the poor February (combined we got 12 points from 16 games = .75 points per game) . and we got 62 points from 46 games.

take away the 16 games and 12 points from the 46 games and 62 points then we have 30 games got us 50 points = 1.7 points per game. now ad that average into the total season 16 x 1.7 = additional 27 points which would have given us 77 points and that would have put us 7th.

yes we have to improve on last year but we are not far off who knows how many additional points we would have picked up without these 2 periods of low confidence. yes we need to sort out quickly the keeper situation. assuming JT comes the defense is sorted.

we need cover for Jedinak. and a creative player on the left (Jack Grealish not consistent enough and runs into too many blind alleys. be optimistic not pessimistic we are in a much better place than 12 months ago.

I agree mate we was great at home and to be honest it was nice to win at home again that hasn't happend for about 10 years so welldone Bruce. But we need to win away and this is where Strve Bruces tactics let us down he plays the same way as at home where away i belive we should be more counter attack. Iam looking forward to this season but it will be a lot harder than last year. Fulham Reading Leeds not to mention boro an sunderland are all going to be going for automatic this what i said many times Brighton and Newcastle hardly lost a game we have to be like that and that means wining every week no excuses. Great post mate.

Sunday I think will be tighter than people think due to the fact that we cannot score without Kodjia, but predict Birmingham will not finish with 11 men and Villa to scrape a result 1-0.

looking forward to summer deadwood sale - Bunn, Kozac, Richards, Flabby Gabby, Gardner, Tisbola, Sanchez, McKormac, Vertout, Gil. Amavi. should raise £15 million. who should SB get in? assuming he keeps the rest of the squad including the kids, i think we need a centre half, left back, back up defensive midfielder, Keeper, wide right / winger.

1.) 20 Apr 2017 20:40:09
Apart from gardner every one else on that list is spot on. let's get rid of the lot of them. also agree with what we need coming in. for far to long we have held on to players who don't deserve to wear the shirt.

2.) 20 Apr 2017 22:43:07
You got some figures behind that mate? We signed Veretout for 12 million, and he's had a stormer of a season in the French league, shouldn't be making a loss on him.

Gil in today's market is about 10 mil surely, what with having a decent season for deportivo. Sell 12 players and bring in 5, leaves us ridiculously short when injuries come (look at the injury list from January / Christmas) and then a transfer window like that leaves the team not knowing where they stand with wholesale changes not what we need again. 3 or 4 will do fine, quality additions who Bruce wants early in the window so a full preseason, sell a few who won't be involved at all as Bruce sees fit.

Next season is one of the biggest in the clubs history in my eyes, last season we can flex our muscles in the transfer windows before FFP really starts to play a role in our dealings, should we fail to go up next year I can't see it happening for another 4-5 seasons. We get one chance at it, we can't afford to feck it up in the summer at the first hurdle!

3.) 21 Apr 2017 13:18:40
Agree with what you said about next season chris, ffp and the need to put it all together in our push to go up. As you say we can, t afford to cock it up. Like yourself mate just want the best for our great club, I thought when we went down that it would take us three to four years to get back where we belong. Hoping of course that we would do it in two or three, Its such a tough league to get out of. Next season is so critical .

was at wembley - what a day!

been looking at the squad and the following players in my opinion are not premiership quality and therefor should not be with us next season

So we are left with
O' Hare
need to get Mings, ElGhazi, Hause, Axel, would also like Tammy not sure if Chelsea will let him come. + new left back+new holding midfield player, + 1 or 2 right wingers.

Green and the youngsters not mentioned should go out on loan.

Thats a lot of change to manage but what is the alternative if they are not good enough?

1.) 29 May 2019 16:49:18
Personally if we can keep him fit, Lansbury could be worth keeping, when fit, he’s got the ability . I reckon Whelan will be given, another 12 months . He has proved he’s got the legs, ideal to come off the bench . As far as Nyland, is concerned, he was thrown in new club, with no defence . He had improved, before he got injured, or do you give Sarkic his chance?

Have been saying for some time that there is a good footballer in Anwar El Ghazi just taken time for him to show it. Big question now is can he do it regularly.
McGinn - what a find he has been, and we must sign Mings at the end of the season he could be a legend like Laurson, Mellberg, Ugo, Southgate, McGrath, Evans, McNaught, Nicholl etc.
Like the sound of Maupay if we can't get Tammy.

1.) 15 Apr 2019 14:46:42
I always though El Ghazi had the ability to play, in the role behind Tammy . He can beat a man, see a pass and isn't frightened to have a shot . Worth a look, next time Jack is out, or he fancies two up front .

just read this on the blues site -
Tim Robinson will be in charge of Sunday's Championship game between blues and Aston Villa at the St. Andrew's trillion trophy stadium.

Shouldn't that read the 1 trophy stadium? haha.

1.) 05 Mar 2019 20:01:13
I detect a bit of Bull Sh there mate, last entry on that site was 2017 on Rumours, and Nov 2018 on Banter.
The site is as dead as St Andrews.

2.) 07 Mar 2019 09:52:40
No bull look at BBC sports website - Birmingham City: St Andrew's renamed 'St Andrew's Trillion Trophy Stadium' - They're having a laugh.

11 Feb 2019 16:10:13
Aston Villa - the team who forgot how to win. Too many draws. Not any where near good enough in defense, no creativity without Jack = another year in the championship/

Must keep Mings, Chester would also like Axel this depends on what Ollie does at MU.

Tammy will return to Chelsea I assume so either we need another striker of Davis needs to do what Tammy is doing. 2 new fullbacks please. and finally can anyone tell me why we got Hause from Wolves? because if he is not better than Taylor he must be bloody useless.

1.) 11 Feb 2019 19:35:21
Davis can't do what Tammy does, not in a million years.
Maupay is the alternative.
Mings is a must keep. Understand we have first refusal at an agreed price.
TZ also a must keep if poss.
Chester needs to pick up his game.
Keep on saying that we can score goals but can't stop em going in our net.
Weakness is definitely at the back where we need the leader.
It really isn't rocket science, just look at the For and Against figure.
When Jack is back we will still score goals but if the back line is as flimsy as it is we will still concede.

2.) 11 Feb 2019 20:50:52
Axel and Jack shouldn't be too far off returns if on schedule. I think you'd be surprised how Jack affects us defensively, the ball comes back at us a lot less with how he holds onto it and draws fouls. Won't stop us conceding full stop but reducing the attacks usually reduces the chances.

DAVEDEAN - because he is rubbish, if he plays as much for them as he has for us he will restrict their scoring rate - what is he goals per game ratio?

Lansbury too slow, not physical enough. Why do we still have him. tishbola, thor, on the books? if they are not good enough for the chamionship they are not good enough for the Prem. get rid.

Not Sturrige! He only plays for himself and is never fit for more than 2 games at time.
The Ashley Williams rumours should be killed stone dead - too old too slow, legs gone, prone to mistakes. Elphick was better bet than him and he has gone. Not sure about Cahill.
desperate for a left back and GET MINGS!

we will not spend £100mil as you have listed that is certain.
we need to get rid of some of the fringe palsyers, old players and dead wood.
Wheelan say 1 mil
Lansbury say 1 mil
Jedi free
Bjarnason 2 mil
Hutton Free
Bun 1 mil
Adomah 2 mil
Richards - free
McCormack 1 mil
Bree? not sure
Hogan 5 mil
Delaet 2 mil
Tishbola 1 mil
gardner 1 mil that raises about 17 mil. Plus saves say 14 x average 15£k/ week = £210,000/ week wages
Not sure who will stay from our loan signings - Axel looks as though that is a possibility, & may be Elghazi- need to sign Mighty Mings and Hause, + someone to replace Tammy if he does go back to chelski, need a left back, creative mid fielder, plus need to keep Jack.

we will still be in the championship even if we win the next 3 games stop dreaming and be realistic our stats/ points per game are worse than when Bruce was here and they were poor then.
