We have some very good youngsters so do we really need to spend at all? I would prefer Jack to stay. He will only get better as time goes by and his value would increase anyway, he may also shine more with quicker younger players around him. So for the time being I say keep him if possible.

We do have some very promising youngsters but not the type of manager to getting them to gel,
Not saying to get rid of Bruce just saying he is not the best where young players are concerned,
He does like the experienced type players,

Would any1 have O'Neil bck we played the best football I've seen at v park under him an plus that's when the ship started to sink wheN he left we never recoverd properly.

O'Neil built a team that could compete with the best in the premiere league as Villa4eva states, I thought we was going to challenge for the title before long. Lerner messed it up really and started selling our best players so we never got to see how far he could of taken us, but to be fair to O'Neil he did a great job in charge up until his fall out with Randy. The question is given the funds and the opportunity could he, or indeed would he want to do it again.

Here is my choices for villa manger 1st pick gallardo 2nd dean smith 3rd lampard it's a gamble but worth a go then if we can't get them sir olaf melberg doing well in Sweden won a couple of titles ;also I'd have Yorke as assistant manager he knows the club proper an understands the villa way, maybe villa manager wouldn't mind that . wot are people's views on them!

Been looking at various polls/ ratings of the best young managers in world football.
One name stands out on everyone
MARCELO GALLARDO
He plays free flowing attacking football who gives youth a try and openly admits to wanting to manage in Europe.
He has won everything as manager of river plate in Argentina .
My number 1 choice if Bruce does go.

The time to sing your own praises to other fans about your magical uprising is when you win the league playing with the big boys or lift one of the major trophies. Until then they haven't really achieved anything different from what the baggies have done over the past few years. But I suppose with very little success over the past 50 years it is bound to go to your heads a little.

We always seem to be doing that,
Bruce has brought in stability and I feel for him over his loss of his parents but he must get us playing more on the front foot and not sitting back all the time,
I don't want him to go he is a decent person but all I ask is to see the young players given more of a chance and get more loanees in with pace,
Where has Davis, green gone they are fit but for some reason not in the 18 man squad anymore,

I think our under 23s can compensate for a lot of those leaving players, or at least I hope they can - Time for RHM, Green, Davis and O'Hare to step up for sure!
My biggest concern is who will be managing us, Bruce is not the man - Who would you like to see?

I may be on my own here but I would play 3-4-3 system with the right personal,
The way that wolves played with that system was a joy to watch,
At least there would be action in forward area's

Depends which way we go about this. If we keep most of this squad together I'd give Bruce another go but if we need to sell a lot and use youth more I'd get rid of Bruce for a attack minded manager.

I don't know your age but I think you should be long enough in the tooth to realise that presumptions like that can make you look very limited in your football knowledge.

I was being optimistic because there's so much negativity on here. I only change my name once because my email was hacked. I only give my view I don't like Bruces football its to negative and most people agree with me. It proved it yesturday they went down to ten men and he wait till the 82 min to bring strikers on. Him big sam moyes tony pulis all borring as hell. defend hit it long and get teams on the break is the tactic everyweek why not just have ago? I don't care what people say I go to every game and that's my view.

I think you will find kodja came on for elmo as soon as Fulham went down to 10 men. But we weren't good enough yesterday and got no luck. Big game like that and the ref was weak. But can't blame him for missing the stamp. We didn't create any chances. There was 1 real clear cut chance all game and that fell to Fulham which they took. Good luck to them next season. I personally think grealish will stay as I am sure he came out a few weeks ago saying so. Hard summer ahead but all we can't do. i stick together and support our great club UTV.

Bruce has got to go.
we got away with defending deep against Middlesboro they only had one real plan and when we marked Traore out of the game that was it. Fulham were a totally different proposition and first half it really showed.
I don't understand Bruce's tactics, one up top if that's how he wants to play then surely it has to be someone like Davis or Kodjia in that role its not Grabbem he looks like a duck out of water and how many times did he touch the ball yesterday?
Jokanovic has shown what it is possible to achieve with a plan and good coaching, attractive football and premiership. let's get rid now and get someone in who has got a clue.

I 100 Per cent agree mate and I went to all 46 games I think his done ok but now its time for a fresh approach. Dean Smith plays great football and is attacking and his a Villa fan. We have no money now and even Bruce has said what ever happens there will be massive changes. Iam hearing there's a meeting next week to decide his future.

Lads, what do you hope happens in the summer?
We HAVE to keep Grealish and Chester, also Bruce HAS to go but who do we replace him with?
With FFP we need to look at the youth, the likes of Green and O'Hare will be hugely important next season as long as we have a manager who can deploy and develop them in the right manner.
Gutted we didn't go up but I think we have one last shot before becoming Leeds 2.0, this season is absolutely massive in the history of Aston Villa!

We have dropped silly points to teams we should have beat but I'm afraid in most games we don't start on the front foot
Just like yesterday,
But against wolves and Bristol c we were brilliant.
So begs the question why can we do it in them games but mostly in other games we have really struggled,
The style of football is poor and turgid at times,
We have tried the experienced route and it needs replacing with more younger pacey players,
We will go for more loan players now due to ftp
One player we must keep is grealish but will we?
I fear for us now the championship getting harder year by year
And our money is running out to bring in quality players,
I'm really p****d off now and we have blown a great chance to get amongst the elite,
Will we get back in the future,
Lost for words now and my summer has being ruined,
Sod the world cup villa in the premiership was my goal and now it's gone up in smoke.

What can I say lads, we have had a great season but just come up short at the end and it is what it is so no regrets. There should be no blame attached or fingers pointed because Bruce and the squad have done us proud all season, the signings were good and the team without doubt is going in the right direction so it's on to next season.
How we sit with financial fair play I don't know, but it shouldn't matter a whole lot to us because the squad we have has already come close to promotion. Our youngsters too have also proven their worth and shown that they are also ready to step up if required, so overall things still look rosy and we are sitting pretty. Any sales will themselves generate income.
If you take into account the poor start we had with just 7 points from 21 and the few poor results towards the end of the season then it's easy to see that automatic promotion next season is well within reach, 87 points is normally around the target and we finished just 4 points short of that.
I now look forward to next season and the mouth-watering derby matches, and hope that the fans will remain behind the owner, the squad and Bruce as I feel if we all stand together that the new season is set to be a good one for us. A massive thanks to club and fellow fans for a magic season. UTV.

Steve Bruce was brought in to get us up his failed so there for should be sacked. His football is awful he doesn't have a plan or a style of play his so negative. Fulham was down to ten men for 20 min and he makes subs on 81 we needed to go two upfront. Thanks for steading the ship bruce but now its time for a fresh attacking approach I would go with Dean Smith. Its going to be a mad summer I expect at least 11 out. Bunn hutton terry micah jonestone ross mcormack snodgrass Whelen tuezenbee lewis grabbon onoumah. We need a youñg fast attacking team not a old defensive team. The club simply can't spend money like we been doing.

If his football was that awful we would not of finished forth and been in the playoff final! so that comment is rubbish. Would you also suggest that every other club that didn't get promoted sack their manager? Due to FFP we didn't spend that much either. Reading some of your comments I beginning to wonder if you're a Villa fan at all!
