If rumours are true about Henry which I prey to god they are what sort of players do you think he would buy because he's a massive name. UTV.

Anyone who can cheat the ref with no conscience, players who are drama queens and needless to say, are experts at kissing his arse.

25 Jul 2018 02:46:54
Not many this season. Few loans off arsenal.

24 Jul 2018 18:49:19
Thes guys know what there doing there nba team are good, they wasnt b4 they bought them thou there a young team who make play offs regularly now, i watch nba all the time, people in the states reckon villa will go places now under thse 2, remember we were 24hr from going in administration awell.

25 Jul 2018 13:25:43
They was never going into administration:

"Several leading football finance experts have backed up claims from sources close to the club who are adamant Villa's current crisis will not see them file for administration. "

24 Jul 2018 18:20:16
Henrys a gamble worth taking, many of managers have landed big jobs as there 1st, at the end of the day its a buisness, n bruce failed that's hhow it goes nplus new owners probably wanted younger manger, an sum1 that plays attacking footy.

24 Jul 2018 18:19:11
Think it's time we all give the new owners some slack in there proposed choice of Henry,
Every new owner coming into a club nearly always bring in there new manager,
We have to support there choice .
I have seen some really bad posts on other blogs saying they don't now what they are doing and they will not support Henry in any way,
Short memories you guys these 2 owners have saved us from administration and deserve all the praise ,
Also the Dr deserves praise for getting the 3 rd richest owners in england.

25 Jul 2018 00:47:15
Sum that ihave looked at are stupid fans on other blogs need to grow up , an sum think its bad on here ha ha.

25 Jul 2018 03:39:37
Good point Mainbob and I think you are right, Although a risky choice it may be it is indeed their choice and they have my support. To be fair not much in football comes without risk, even buying prooven players can turn out a disaster so I guess it's no different with managers. Take Redknapp and Zola for instance, one with masses of experience the other with not much but both flopped at blues so the experience counted for very little. Henry could turn out to be a huge success, he certainly appears motivated and eager to succeed so it could be interesting. Having said that Bruce is still manager at the moment so maybe we should all respect that too.

24 Jul 2018 15:25:41
Would it just be strange if Henry is installed as manager and McCormick gets in team and starts scoring again?
Just imagine the look on Bruce's face!

24 Jul 2018 11:52:34
Harsh on Bruce if true but understandable in a way. People have very short memories - anyone remember the Crap we had to endure before Bruce came and stabilized the club? If he does go then I for one will thank him for his time effort and honesty. If Thierry does come we must all get behind the team, if he can get our forwards to score goals like he did (just have a look at his best goals) then we should be in with a treat. Also I think Chester should stay having learnt from Terry and Bruce and if Bold comes he should kick on again.

24 Jul 2018 13:00:52
Have to say my disappointment is the fact that everywhere is saying Henry will be the next villa manager,
But it's out of order with Bruce still our current manager,
Not a nice feeling to see your job has already gone to another guy!

24 Jul 2018 13:30:01
If Henry is the new manager we have let ourselves down massively as a club. Bruce has stabilised the club and got us to the play off final in just under a two year period, when he came we was looking like doing the double drop and he lost his parents late last season but still showed commitment to the club turning up and preparing us for the final push. Where is our commitment to the manager if he is replaced? Doesn't set a good example to Chester jack and co who we want to stay another year.

24 Jul 2018 13:47:55
I like Bruce, and hope he stays. I don’t really see how people can say he stabilised the club though. It’s not all in his hands I accept, and he worked wonders with Hutton and Grealish. But he has also failed to bring on much of the youth, failed to get the best from hogan, bjarnson, de laat, McCormack. He failed to win promotion with easily the most experienced squad. Come the end of the season, villa were close to liquidation. How do people suggest he’s added stability?

24 Jul 2018 11:43:36
With the new regime owning a basketball team it makes sense to appoint Henry as coach.

On henry i think he will be good he has all his badges, so why not can't be worse than bruce n plus we will play better footy , and attract better players , the team needs arebuild anyway, bruce tried n failed if henry gets the job it will be, if bruce stays hope he changes but can't see it .

24 Jul 2018 05:59:01
How about Henry and Terry?
No reason why a manager needs managerial experience at a lower level or even football background.
Gérrard is at Rangers, Lampard at Derby.
McMenAmy at SAFC and Southampton some years ago.
Why not start near the top?
Anyway you look at it, Henry and Terry sound like a good pair.
Two Ronnies, Morecombe and Wise, both did ok.

Only a thought but could be amazing!

24 Jul 2018 06:18:31
Gerrard and Lampard have only just started so how can they be used as examples for it being a good idea? Look at recent records of good ex players.
Zola - terrible
Dicanio - Good at Swindon, terrible elsewhere.
RDM - Ok at WBA, can't count CL really and awful for us.
Luis Enrique - Hit and Miss. Working for him at Barcelona (although not getting the most out of the squad imo) . AC was a horror show.
Zidane - Great CL record but couldn't get any consistency out of best squad in the world by far.
I know the last 2 are being nitpicky but their successes are the exception to the rule and they also did a lot more youth/ reserve coaching first.

24 Jul 2018 07:30:27
They are saying Steve bould would be Henry's assistant.
That would be a good signing for me,
He was the under18 academy manager for nearly 10 years at arsenal,
Now the new manager is at arsenal I feel he will not be needed,
On Henry it is a risky appointment but the new owners seem to want a younger set up and he would attract better players to the club,
But whoever is is charge they have my full support,
These owners are really going to shake this club up in my opinion,
Excited for the future,

24 Jul 2018 07:55:09
For every Zola there is a guadiola. It's all about getting the right people around you as well. I think Henry will do really well if I'm being honest so if Bruce is to go which he will why not give the guy a crack. He's been promised funds and will attract good players to the club and will play a attack minded style of passing football . #utv.

24 Jul 2018 08:06:55
You would think if Henry is the man a few young arsenal players could be coming our way,

24 Jul 2018 09:44:44
I'm going to file this under "Believe It When I see It" - As much as I would like Bruce gone I just can't see the new owners signing off on this so soon to the beginning of the season.

The only way I can see this happening is if Henry has already been paying close attention to the squad and has a solid and strategic plan in place - Also, Henry would need to have signings A. Lined up or B. Signed off on Bruce's incomings.

We are so short on time it really doesn't make sense to remove Bruce, personally I think its a gamble worth taking as Bruce is not the man to take us forward with this squad of young players.

24 Jul 2018 12:49:01
Whoever is our manager we need to get behind him,
See many on blogs now saying bruce should stay and Henry would be a disaster?
Some fans have short memories,
They can't wait to see him sacked yet now Henry is rumoured to be our man and he now getting stick before he is behind his desk,
I admit it's a risk but all managerial appointments are that anyway,
He could be like rdm but what if he turns out like Ron Saunders!
We all have to wait to see how it pans out.

Daily star reporting that Henry has agreed to become villas next manager.
Exciting times ahead peeps.
