Dr Tone'

Needs to be backed by the Villa fans who have for the past 5 years or so seen their team just be beaten into the ground.

Don't under estimate the wealth or the backing, the Chinese govt involved and they would love to take the Arabs and Ruski's on. They are not doing this to be number 2, they want to win.

Branding villa to a billion people whose country is planning to win World Cup in 34 years is massive. Every school kid to kick a football every school day is entering the curriculum.

Tone' is a bright, and I mean very bright. The blokes built 60 Cities.

Let's get behind him, let's get that fight like lions mentality back and get up and out of this Division.

Recon, Rui Kang Group, Lotus. Huge! .

Come on you LIONS!

20 May 2016 20:26:46
One thing, Get well soon David!

Once a villan, always a villan.

(Unless your name is Stan! )

20 May 2016 19:55:16
These doubters are hilarious, we prayer for Lerner to go, get our wish.
We not only get a new owner, but one with billions in the bank, who promises to unleash us into the Chinese market to make us a massive marketing tool, pledged publicly millions to the manager, and even says to improve villa park capacity.
And all they do, is doubt is credentials, doubt his wealth or his commitment.

This is the guy we have been praying for!
Finally we can compete agains the Russians and Arabs in the finance market! So do we embrace him?
No. We try to knock him down, condemn him to fail before he has even started!

Good job he saw us at the Newcastle game, because if he had seen us on these sights first I bet he wouldn't of touched us with kingvilla's.

20 May 2016 21:13:10
Flackie that's a bit euphoric.
We want it all and we want it now, we deserve it after that person Lerner but a little caution is needed before we conquer the world then outer space.

Some doubts have been cast and we must hope that Dr Tony is genuine. I don't know and will wait in hope that he is our white knight.

I remember some guy that attempted to buy MUFC but was found to have very little money and ended up, I think, at Carlisle.
I want everything to be good but would never forgive anyone that screwed up our AVFC.

Also I am unhappy that he wants to re brand Villa Park suggesting that he intends to get his money from this source.
I want it all I want it now and I want it right.

20 May 2016 22:47:01
That would be a bullseye there Oldvillian, promises the earth, he's speaking what we want to hear, we all want the villa top of the tree, but i don't want our ground (cathedral of football) being named after some moody chinese company (or american or european but am thinking chinese for obvious reasons)

20 May 2016 23:14:33
Your seriously saying, that you wouldn't accept a ground sponsor?
Keeping 'villa park' just adding the sponsors name?
The extra revenue this brings is incredible, opens more doors!
And EVERYONE is doing it!

20 May 2016 23:26:36
Can I just say that it seems Chris Samuelson is involved in this takeover in some way, I mentioned this yesterday.

{Ed002's Note - He has a Swiss based business called MTI that facilitates introductions between clubs and folks looking to invest in sports.}

21 May 2016 07:49:15
Dear Mr. Flackie, your right to say a revenue stream and new opportunities on the back of it, and if he were the real Mcoy then serious investigation would follow, trouble is he's a bit a mystery, and in case you haven't guessed by my previous postings, i wouldn't trust him as far as i could fire him out of a cannon, his signature tune should be"here comes the real slim shady", sad to say it but he's about as real as mermaids and papa smurf (adjusted accordingly for those of a nervous disposition), the only sign he should see as he walks into our holly shrine is"show me the money", because i reckon porkis pies are in his eyes, send him packing now, before we end up more of a laughing stock, do it before any other investor thinks our board are a bunch of clowns, please.

21 May 2016 10:17:23
Etihad
Emirates
King power.

20 May 2016 17:53:19
To all the doubters, now appearing . Do you honestly believe with the amounts of money involved, that Randy and Hollis would not have researched this man inside out . Most of the rubbish appearing, is made up by noses wishing and hoping, not that they are jealous or anything . Villa forever.

20 May 2016 16:06:19
Sorry people but Hollis has been lying to you! Hollis has said our new owner owns five companies our new owner said actually says he only owns 1 also hollis said that our new owner was instrumental in the Olympic Stadium in Shanghai. And yet again and new owner says he had nothing to do with the Olympic Stadium in Shanghai or any other buildings.

20 May 2016 16:51:18
Recon is actually a holding company, i'm no expert on this but you can research holding companies to see what you think, I'm told all is still good.

20 May 2016 17:16:53
Most Brummies recoil at the national stereotype of us as miserable, dour sods who cannot wait to find something to whinge at
Let's just wait a few months to see how things are shaping up ahead of the new season before we go predicting the end of the world
Maybe we could even wait until the team has kicked a ball in anger, you never know.

20 May 2016 17:14:42
where are you getting you info Mr know it all not! from what I've seen on him hollis is spot on. he runs 5 companys under the recon name. lotus being the biggest one. the guy has had a major part to play in rebuilding half of china housing wise and owns 40% of the digital sector. hence big money.

20 May 2016 17:23:17
I agree Mendax I too disapprove of all the negative comments.

20 May 2016 17:47:59
Sorry mendax i can't agree with you there, and what's happening with weather out there, it should be at least 2 degrees warmer, have you seen the price frais grais lately, i'm not one to complain but.

20 May 2016 17:58:39
Omg stop being so negative give the MSN a chance, we should be rejoicing the fact we have new ownership, and that he wants to pump money into us. On a bright side good to see Rogers has gone cultic.

20 May 2016 20:13:47
They want Lerner back
Randy Lerner back
I just don't think you understand
From relegation fights
To football Friday nights
They want randy Lerner back!

20 May 2016 14:52:11
Anyone else follow the fan groups on Twitter? Some of the main ones claiming Xia and Recon are a front for the Chinese government and it won't pass the fit and proper tests, however when I asked how info they found on the Internet Lerner and Hollis didn't find they deleted the post? Everyone screams for Lerner to leave then when we get a new owner everyone turns into a detective an it's all negative, give them a chance!

20 May 2016 19:58:37
the Chinese government are involved. that's a good thing trust me. about 19 trillion of them to be exact. this guy will take us to big places.

20 May 2016 20:15:13
I hate agreeing with you!
But, I do here! 😜.

20 May 2016 21:17:15
Agreeing with kingvilla, wtf, i know for sure now we've entered a parallel dimension, it all looks the same but bizarre things are happening. hold on a minute, news just in, dr. (ford) xia agrees to sell villa park and ground share with Birmingham city! we're all doomed mr. mainwaring, aahhh.

20 May 2016 14:37:36
dunno about you guys but i'm starting to hear a few mumblings from people apparently "in the know" that the good Dr Tony may not be all that he seems

appears that he dosnt actually own 5 listed companys at all but has a stake in them

theres quite a lot of talk on a different villa forum

i do hope we don't have the next carson yeung.

20 May 2016 16:12:46
Why are people so negative, go with the flow and see what happens, painting someone black before he as hardly got his foot through the door is pointless, besides most of the negative rumours would of been generated by sour blues fans, you only need look at their reaction to our relegation to see how bitter they all are.

20 May 2016 16:43:32
last time i checked mate the financial times wasnt run by anyone connected with birmingham city.

20 May 2016 21:50:46
the guy has plenty of money and he has government backing so trust me we will head for the top on the next 5 years.

20 May 2016 14:13:34
We are not fickle
We just don't like you

We all remember it
Are we fickle
We have waited 3 years for learner to go
He has and people still moan
Fact
We are a big club in limbo
Dr Xia can see this
Lets get behind Dr Xia
Let's ride on his coat tails
He has publicly given the next manager a decent transfer kitty
So has shown his intentions
Welcome to villa park Dr Xia.

20 May 2016 13:09:14
Thought process of a Blues Fan:

"Birmingham city had a Chinese owner, he was terrible; Villa have a Chinese owner, he will be terrible. "

Thought process of a gnat :

Birmingham city had a Chinese owner, he was terrible; Villa have a Chinese owner. but you can't make subjective judgements about commercial accumen, business ethics or likelihood of being prone to criminality based on ethnicity, that would be plain stupid as well as racist.
I shall keep my eye on Villa, this could be interesting.

20 May 2016 14:51:08
Class Mendax 😂

UTV.

20 May 2016 15:43:33
Carson Yeoung - hairdresser
Dr Xia - Ivy League educated buisness man who didn't pay over the odds for a club that actually own their own ground and weren't cursed by some gypsies 100 or so years ago.

20 May 2016 17:23:58
Ouch, like a surgeon's knive, i'm loving the passion everyone's showing, whatever the side of the fence your on! love it love it.

20 May 2016 01:52:26
Just a note about traore, why on earth would you want to keep him, he's on big big dough and for what, he's like our version of darren anderton, always injured, i hope we bin him this summer, he's quick, that's for sure, but in the hoofers league he'll get booted up in the air left, right and centre, get rid, bring in dallas from leeds, do the job, and i think is good enough for the prem., what do ya reckon.

20 May 2016 07:23:45
traore would be one of the most dangerous players in that league. we should use him not lose him!

20 May 2016 08:55:39
You use him for more than a sub with 20 minutes to go, you'll loose him to the physio's bench, tell me, how did he adjust last season, in a league where the refs are protective, now place him in the championship and it'll be like the wild wild west to him, i think he's got all the skills and thrills, all the bells and whistles, but we're in the captain caveman league now, he'll end up having less quick feet, more mincemeat, get rid, save 50 or 75 grand a week he's on and invest in someone like kemar roofe, now he IS class, so enjoy the whippet on the wing for sure, but don't expect any more than 10 to 15 games a season, value for money, more like jackson pollocks.

20 May 2016 09:50:55
I see your point 82 but they're going to kick lumps outta all our players next season, if we're playing against 10 or even 9 men, more chance of us winning games, never mind that Traore could probs win games on his own if he's as good as we hope he'll be?

UTV.

20 May 2016 10:14:14
I hope your right, if he stays, i think it shows he has heart, and as we all know, that's what we're going to need big time.

20 May 2016 13:10:55
Traore could be a monster in that division. I would love to keep him.

20 May 2016 17:25:47
Seconded.

20 May 2016 18:11:22
Hear hear Mendax.

20 May 2016 01:44:26
What about al habsi for goalkeeperr, wealth of experience and i don't think you'd need to pay big to get him from reading, and what about steven quinn from reading (ex-hull), gets up and down the pitch, be a a good leader in the dressing room too, we definitely need a defender whose a leader too, get rid of micah for sure, loves himself, loves his shadow, loves to take the dough, but does nothing but complain, i'd like joey barton there but there's some talk of glasgow rangers being after him, what do you fellas reckon.

20 May 2016 10:09:21
Apparently norwich are strapped for cash. What about nathan redmond?

20 May 2016 14:18:16
I'd snap redmond up but think prem teams will be in so would need to move fast.

20 May 2016 17:28:34
Would norwich even sell to us, not only because we are direct competition but also out of spite, i seem to remember a few seasons of angst not too long ago, its going to get interesting.

20 May 2016 22:02:19
if they are in trouble money wise and we put 10 to 12 mil on table I think they would take it. sadly I think a lot of prem teams will look at him so he won't choose us.

20 May 2016 00:32:15
Hollis was on the news earlier, I think he's been described as not realy a football man . The way he was talking about the excitement in the ground against Newcastle, & how fantastic the fans are, it seems he's fallen under the Villa spell. He stated that even if he leaves his position, he will definitely be coming back toVilla park . what's your thoughts on the rumour of renaming the park, personally if it's a way of getting around the FairPlay rule, bring it on . No matter what it's called, it's still Villa park Onward and upwards Villa forever.

20 May 2016 06:57:52
I agree re Villa Park, but I'm not so sure many other fans will. Just look at Newcastle and St James Park.
