Been thinking this for a while now i think unai has taken villa as far as he can he's done a good job but i don't he can take us any further and i also think he won't win us any cups he's to defensive i don't care what any1 says, we need a manager that can take us to the nxt level and win us cups play attacking football and that can also defend and attack the big6 games and not park the bus, there's managers out there aswell that we could get aswell in my opinion i just think we will always be the nearly team with unai that's why he was sacked by spartack moscow, arsenal, valencia, psg
He won't get sacked at villa but if we don't get a good start nxt season pressure is on him

Oh how short people’s memories are, before Unai we were destined for relegation and who know how long we would have had to endure championship football look at Sunderland 12 years away from the big time and coming into the premiership with a mountain to climb. When you look at our financial resources compared to the big six we are punching well above our weight and clubs recruitment has been excellent, we have a lot more to be grateful for than otherwise. Unai is a top top manager and I can’t think of anyone I would rather have.

We can stick with a proven winner or we can throw that all away for a manager who has had a mid table team play a few good games.

The Europa League, just over a year before joining us.
Villareal made their first ever European final, won it, and then made the Champions League semi the very next year. They have been through 3 managers and struggled somewhat since he left them.

Take your list of managers and put them at the same clubs at the same time as Emery and ask them to take more than 9 major trophies.
I'm not saying they definitely couldn't, but even Pep and Ancelotti would be hard pressed to get 2 or 3 more trophies out of it.
The one top team Emery has managed, he won everything but got sacked because he didn't win Champions League. This was at a time when PSG owners were fixated on the one trophy that is a bit of a crapshoot due to there always being 7 or 8 teams genuinely capable of winning it.

You are delusional if you think that anyone better than Unai will come to the Villa, look what has been achieved in the nearly 3 years he's been here. The entitlement of some people on this site that Villa should be winning everything is astonishing. Due to financial regulations its going to be a long process. You only have to listen to Emery in interviews to see how passionate and committed to the club he is and that players love playing for him and that he can attract other players that previously we wouldn't have a cat in hells chance of attracting.UTV.

Even if you believe Unai is not the right man and I would say that the majority of us on here think he is, no one on your list VJ is going to come to B6. Given the position we were in when he joined and the financial constraints he has been working under to qualify or Europe 3 seasons in a row is a fantastic achievement something to be lauded and yet some want him replaced? It beggars belief really.

Whilst I don’t greet with some of VJ comments I do wonder about the comments of others on here aimed at him.
I was rightly picked up by eds for a comment over 12 months ago.
Now I see some (who have claimed to have had problems in the past) making some equally derogatory comments.
I would expect better of them and ask them to look at themselves and what they may have been through in the past.
