Oh come on now WittonWisdom, if i didn't know any better i'd swear you have minor doubts about mt best buddy dr. xia, now you know through reverse psychology i've been fighting his corner for months, and just when i think the cunning plan is happening one of the forums'chirpier characters is being hesitant, come along old chap this will never do, we're tony's (did i mention he's my bestest mate in the world) wu-shoo army! everything will multiply at villa park, good times ahead (except for the cat population me thinks)

I think Pantilimon is a good choice, but to be completely honest I would preffer Pierluigi Gollini. In the end both of them are better than Guzan. Aaron Tshibola looks promising by the way.

Cant beleive callum robinson turned down a contract offer from us and now gone to preston . I've herd over nxt few weeks more players are coming in still want richards an lescott an bacuna an guzan an agbonlahor al to go thou. any one agree.

04 Jul 2016 21:27:45
Yup agreed out with the old in with the new.

04 Jul 2016 23:03:39
Not really seen much of Robinson but what I did didn't make me think we should bend over backwards to keep him. He doesn't seem to have pulled up any trees on loan either.

i don't like gabby and i'm sure 1 or 2 of you don't either, but if rdm says he's staying and leading the line for us then we're going to have to grit our teeth and start being his fan club again (a very deep breath i know), because like it or not he's still a good player who will bag us a lot of goals in the championship (i bleedin hope so after that speech) so get your heads round it, if nothing else if he helps get us promoted, people will look at buying him, yes, actually paying for him! so for the greater good start practicing, oh well played old chap, play on gabster, play on', its a mad world out there.

04 Jul 2016 16:05:03
What is it with people saying agbonlahor will bang them in at championship level, the guy is dire an with the pysicalitys of football at that level will spend most of the season sat on his arse, the only reason he is still a villa player is cus no bigger wants him.

04 Jul 2016 17:09:34
well he has training to prove his worth to the new boss, and if he looks poor get rid. he's been clinging onto his place for 2 or 3 years now, i think now is the time he "put up or shut up" give him few weeks and if he dosent show his worth get rid.

04 Jul 2016 19:44:43
RDM never said anything about him leading the line for us, it's his own self promotional speech that it is stemming from. He doesn't deserve any more chances and wouldn't even score goals in the 2nd division. He can't even bother to keep himself fit for a season and now all of a sudden he has had a epiphany. I don't buy it.

04 Jul 2016 20:26:29
Of course gabby will be incredible in the championship, his goal record, at a higher standard speaks for it self.

The guy is a genius, correct me if I'm wrong, but a player who can go 90 minutes of football, and touch the ball twice, and get paid for it, is incredible.

How are we even having this conversation.
Who cares if no one buys him. It's gross misconduct, sack him, make an example of him to the younger still learning pros, and make a statement to the rest of the country that we won't take this crap any more.

Embarrassment, lazy, fat useless and robbing git, all discription that paint a picture of gabby. Not one of them was professional, or to do with football.

Well said strikes, i reckon he will score a few for us, even as an impact sub (i was going to say supersub but i have to look in the mirror every now and then), think of him as the same scenario as what happened with beckham (but without the intelligence; know how, skill, understanding, nouse or longevity) if you can get past those one or two things then he can ingratiate himself back into our good books (hey, work with me here will ya), we'll be singing his name and making up songs about him (no, not those ones! ) and women will be naming their first born after him, there'll be a film, t-shirts, video games and merchandise, yes you guessed it, he's going to be a legend rather than a leg-end! go on the gabster-rock and roll man!

Anyone else anticipating start of some movement regarding signing and sales towards the end of the week? Everything has gone quiet again anyone with an ear to the ground heard anything other than this Verona gk for £4.1m?

04 Jul 2016 13:22:10
We have been here before.
Anticipation, expectation.
Then, well who knows what?
I am not holding my breath but do believe that behind the scenes some action is taking place. DiM could be having some effect on the players he inherited and is looking at ways of playing them as a unit, not the rabble that took us down.
Let's face it they cannot be as bad as last season.
There are some good guys in the club that only need direction, even Gabby is reported as making an effort!

04 Jul 2016 14:25:40
The only effort I want from flabby Gabby is the effort to find another club.

04 Jul 2016 19:20:55
Hey don't diss the gabster, he's going to be like a pheonix-go on the gabster.
