Hi lads. I'm looking at booking flights hotel etc 4 the wolves game mid October whould any1 have any knowledge if this game will be switched 4 tv.
PS I think are new owner needs to lay off twitter it's looks a bit amateurish.

26 Jul 2016 08:25:35
I think TV games have already been announced for October haven't they?

Couldn't agree with you more about the Twitter thing an it will be interesting to see how long it lasts, I'm still not convinced he is the guy in charge though but that's for a different discussion.

27 Jul 2016 11:53:42
I thought tv fixtures had only only been announced until the end of September so far? Just checked the Sky website and no fixtures are listed beyond end September. I can't see the Wolves game remaining a Saturday 3pm kick off as currently scheduled.

27 Jul 2016 12:03:02
Next batch of tv games for October and November will be announced shortly after first game of season apparently.

25 Jul 2016 20:50:19
Got to admit I am gutted that Stan has not been offered a new contract. It would have been real Roy of the Rovers stuff if he had. Captain fantastic back if only for a third of the games it would have been worth it.

I hope he stays round in a coaching capacity.

{Ed041's Note - well said, even though I'm not a villa fan you can't help but admire Stan.

25 Jul 2016 22:59:35
I agree mate.

26 Jul 2016 15:16:04
Ed may I ask who your chosen team is?

{Ed001's Note - he is from darn sarff, so obviously he follows Man Utd....}

26 Jul 2016 17:57:30
United fan? Sure I suppose we all have our own crosses to bare. ;-b.

{Ed041's Note - ed01 Is a cheeky git. Yes I'm a man utd fan mate.

26 Jul 2016 18:36:23
Gonna sound like a simpleton, but what is a darn sarff?

{Ed041's Note - southerner mate. Ed was trying to be funny.

25 Jul 2016 18:40:12
Eds.
I'm right in assuming that you adopt all the forums in association to this site, not just the villa?
And if that's so, are we the most miserable, negative, relentlessly repetitive and pessimistic on here?

As I said before, I love this club.
However if I wanted to feel depressed, as if there is no point and that I should end it all, I would sit on the sofa with the Mrs.

This is alleged that supporters come together and share thoughts and ideas for the season and team.
Instead we are constantly told our new owner is worse than wnak.
Our new manager is useless.
Our playing staff, new and old, at not good enough.
We have no money.
We have no future.
We have no chance.

It is tedious, boring, counterproductive and if you want the saying my old man uses, switch off able.

{Ed033's Note - No, the posters on here are similar to posters on other sites. It's understandable that Aston Villa fans are down at the moment, hopefully you'll be back in the Premier league soon.

25 Jul 2016 22:33:09
i agree with you ed iam not usually this negative but these players really done a number on us fans an as i dnt miss a game home or away sometimes it gets to you an is hard to forgive and if iam wrong like people say an you can release these players why the hell are they still here dripping there poison? i love my football club and do only want the best for it an us as fans. But now it seems i have upset people so iam going to let you all enjoy chatting without me last thing i want to do is upset people! i wish the best for all of you on here and i do hope your right and we do win the league with this squad! UTV hope to see you all at the games for a beer! 1 thing is for sure this club owes us fans some good times!

{Ed041's Note - I felt for villa fans last season I really did mate, your team let the fans down big time. But I have a real feeling you will be coming straight back up. I'm sure once the season kick off and you get a few wins optimism will be back.

26 Jul 2016 07:45:56
Trouble is that the truth hurts.
Not everything posted is either positive or negative, but most are based on the facts that are being read in the press.
No guarantee that the press are truthful.
However we are not seeing what we expected to see in terms of words from our owner.
Problem we have is expectations.
Very seldom do expectations come to fruition and then we all get tetchy, hence the disagreements on this site.
Old adage is "don't expect anything then you will not be disappointed. "

26 Jul 2016 08:38:18
I agree Ed, i'm not normally this miserable, its beginning to affect my day job, my colleagues say i always look sad, like i lost a pound and found a penny, i'm told the clients have noticed this too and my boss says i need to start smiling more and crack a few jokes with the clients when i'm out with them, i was a bit surprised at this, seeing as i'm a pull-bearer!

25 Jul 2016 21:08:29
Note to Oldvillan.
Sorry but I had to respond to your post below about me calling it a day.
Although only yesterday It`s probably a bit far down now for most people to see and read but what you have said is a big dig mate.
You are correct "I am an ordinary guy" who loves his football with a passion UTV.
You are wrong that I think I am important as you put it, far from it.
I have never for one moment felt that everyone on here is anything but equal.
If it offends you as it clearly does, that I took the time to say a thank to all posters just to inflate my ego you are seriously delusional mate.
A pointer to my decision is people harping on about the same old thing day in and day out, and you my old china did that for nearly 12 months, we all realised what Lerner was about but you had to make a reference to him in 9/ 10 of your posts.
And that mate is BORING.
A final note: I have not retired I enjoy reading what people think so I will log in most days if that ok with you?
Sorry everyone I know it`s not about football.

25 Jul 2016 22:37:52
Mate i am doing the same so i don't think its stupid at all we are all fans who pay our money an love the club you do what you got to do! Its hard to be positive when your club has been in decline for so many years and we lose every week but hopfully 1 day we will be back! enjoy the site people.

26 Jul 2016 07:52:22
Another nerve touched.

You have enjoyed being critical of me on many responses.
Why is stating facts more boring than stating expectations.
Reality is ever present and that is a fact.

26 Jul 2016 12:28:22
Oldvillan, You have not touched a nerve at all, far from it, my skin is tougher than that.
I have had a difference of opinion to some of your past posts, nothing more.
Your last post was personal and a cheap shot at my character, that`s not on mate.
I am not a winger or moaner just stating a fact, I will end it there.

25 Jul 2016 20:22:01
Our midfield is going to be lacking in experience, free transfer, Mathieu Flamini, job done 👍🏻

UTV.

25 Jul 2016 20:50:48
How about van der vaart. If Reading are trying don't see why we can't. Creative player and will do job in championship.

25 Jul 2016 20:51:21
He wouldn't come when we were in the premier league. What hope now we are in the championship?

25 Jul 2016 22:26:29
VDV is a No10, and would be an awesome signing. going to throw Charlie Adam in there again.

UTV.

25 Jul 2016 14:39:29
I'm not being negative but surely if Xia had enough money you would bring players in now as RDM would prefer them to be there before the start of the season, I'm only saying this because it still may only take 2/ 3 weeks to ship some of these players out.

25 Jul 2016 17:11:39
Buying football players is not like buying frozen peas. What you want is finite
In short, it doesn't matter what money we have to spend if the other party don't want to sell or are holding out for a better price
Look at the situation with Sinclair to Celtic; clearly we want to sell and they want to buy yet it still has not happened
People like Xia don't acquire their wealth buy being stupidly reckless with it.

25 Jul 2016 18:21:23
But we don't want players joining the squad late surely that's not what RDM wants.

25 Jul 2016 18:40:20
No, that's not what he would want
Yet still, everything I said in previous post still applies, so he has to lump it.

25 Jul 2016 18:41:28
RDM and Xia have clearly stated that they will bring in 3-4 more players. Newcastle have been recklessly buying players for years and look where it got them. RDM is a very strategic, calculated man and I have no doubt he will bring in who he wants, otherwise he wouldn't have taken the job, but it takes time, especially if clubs don't want to sell these targeted players. If the players he is targeting were so easily available then obviously no one wants them and neither would we.

25 Jul 2016 19:27:16
Precisely.

25 Jul 2016 23:41:45
I know Newcastle in previous years have bought badly but look who they've bought in this season, identified targets early and bought them! And have got a world clas manager! For me missing out on Gayle is a massive mistake.

26 Jul 2016 18:17:32
Newcastle had the advantage on us in that Benitez had 10-15 games there last season so by the end of campaign he will have had a picture of who he wanted to keep and who he wanted to buy.
I'm sure you know this. Why you ignore it is confusing for me.

25 Jul 2016 13:10:10
I think another 5 or six will go thou . which will free up loads of room for rdm signings.

25 Jul 2016 17:42:54
Can't we sell them all as a job-lot to Zippo's Circus - they're always on the lookout for inept ball-jugglers and clowns .

25 Jul 2016 13:05:33
I think villa need creative mid two strikers an a winger . i hope we get these players morrison, mccormac kodge, dyer.

25 Jul 2016 13:15:23
I like the fort of Morrison and think he is quality but I can tell the bloke still thinks he is a gangster reppin Manchester ya get me
But the bloke got skills just think to much trouble for our club wiv Wats going on already gabby lescott and the rest.

25 Jul 2016 11:02:15
No one has made a move for Brady yet which I find strange hope we can get him under the radar surely we are better club to be at than Norwich just hope no perm clubs take him.

25 Jul 2016 13:11:32
If we could get Brady and Pritchard and a striker don't know who but we need one think that's us done I'd be happy more than happy.

25 Jul 2016 05:38:52
Could be a busy month for villa with incomings an outgoings according to our chairmain which is good too see.

25 Jul 2016 10:37:19
3-4 to be told they are no longer wanted, who do you think this could be? Guzan, Lescot? Anyone hazard a guess? Or some info? Can't see us terminating Richards contract with talks of £5m bids.

25 Jul 2016 12:25:55
Well I think bunn or Guzan are gone put another bid in for pantilimon 2 million I think don't know how true it is 😳😳😳.

25 Jul 2016 12:43:26
guzan lescot flabby cissoko is what I've herd.

25 Jul 2016 13:04:00
Cant see how we will be able to off load him flabby I mean I think we will sell Guzan sell lescott then the rest will be loaned out I reckon just want to see one or two more quality additions then I think with the youth as well we will have a competitive team i hope.

25 Jul 2016 13:07:37
Cissoko has featured quite a lot recently, would he not be an adequate back up for amavi if he gets injured? All be it just for this season as I believe he is awful, or is Bennet seen as amavi's under study?

25 Jul 2016 13:18:30
Got to be Bennett I think he played championship and think we need fighters who know how hard this league is and heard he played well in pre season which don't mean much but shows he is up for it.
