Nothing in theory is stopping us. but i suppose there are two ways this could be done, 1. Attract an external sponsor as with places like the Emirates or 2. it becomes the Recon Stadium.
Problem i see with 1.is we are not a particularly good brand to be associated with right now so external interest would be limited and would probably not bring in mega bucks. Which brings us to the Recon idea. only problem is we already know that Dr Tony either cannot get any more money out of China or may not actually have any money at all so that doesn't seem an option either.
So in theory a good idea but in our current situation not easy to achieve.

i actually think we are in more trouble than we think. Just a hunch but i think all the talk of not being able to get cash out of china etc is just a smokescreen from the snake oil salesmen to cover for the fact that there is no money. i desperately hope i am wrong but i think we are looking at the darkest period in our history.

Gents. In terms of attracting new people it doesn't matter if it is Bruce, Smith or the Queen of Sheba, agents will be doing everything to steer their players away from us while our future and finances remain so uncertain.
Can't blame them. Would you accept a job offer from House of Fraser this week?

Gents I think FFP is the least of our worries from what I can gather. We're broke. If we were a high street store the shutters would be down.
One can only imagine every agent with a half decent player at Villa will be working flat out to get their cadh cows out of B6 this summer.
i think our situation is far more disturbing and complicated than merely a case of FFP and Dr T scrabbling around for this months tax bill.

i never understand the cry of match fixing when a team makes changes. they have a squad of players registered and are totally at liberty to use those players in any way they see fit to suit the best interests of their club. i would have expected us to do exactly the same thing yesterday if we were looking forward to the play offs in 2 weeks time.
