I must say so far iam enjoying watching avfc more in the championship. Its like we are the man utd we are the big boys. eg the premier league fixtures come out you are dreading going man city arsenal away as you know most likely we are going to be hammard this league every game we have a really good chance of wining my point is do we really want to go back to the premiership or would you be happyier in the championship i know it sounds mad but its more enjoyable than the premier league at least every game we have a chance the premiership you know there are just some teams you know you are going to get beat!

i understand that theory aswel iam just saying iam enjoying being in this league as i fear no1 and its a bit more fun. When you have watched your team the last 5 years get beat week in week out its just nice to be in a league where even if you do play poor you can still win its more fun let's face it the premierleague is so brutal. Depends what you go football 4 villa are never going to rule the world so a few wins an a beer an a pie happy days for me rather than people leaving at half time because super rich clubs are wining 4 or 5 nil. Have you noticed how full villa park is now we have gone down? people understand my theory i think!

I know what your saying but would be nice to be able to compete with the big boys again some time. This club should be in the top flight an that is definately were I want it to be win lose or draw.

mr. know. it. all, i will grant you that it is nice for teams to be wary of us, but Aston Villa have got to stay strong and motor on to the premier league.

What do you reckon the odds that on the last day of transfers we bring in bamford, not because he mulled over his different options and wanted to be part of the project, but simply no-one else came in for him and its like he's doing us a favour.

for me, i hope we don't get him, i'd like to see green given the shirt, give him his chance.

I see the last day of the window being even more manic than usual and I see us being busy too. I imagine we might hear the phrase 'The lights are still on at Bodymoor Heath'at around 10.30pm next wednesday.

I am pretty happy with all of the strikers we are currently being linked with as I see them enhancing an already decent strike force.

I am still hopeful that we bring in a creative midfielder to help feed said strikeforce and I personally hope it is Ravel Morrison.

I read from Gregg Evans I think, that if we sign a striker they will not look for an attacking midfielder and vice versa, I guess it's because McCormack plays both positions so he will slot into which ever position we don't fill. Interesting to see how we line up first weekend after transfer window.
