just on villa website and noticed this visit our Chinese site. tells me we have been took over.

{Ed007's Note - Most of the EPL clubs's will probably have a Chinese version of their site if you go and look I'd imagine.}

12 May 2016 21:09:32
Chinese links have been on there since 2013 mate.

12 May 2016 19:28:48
So Grealish has been selected for the England U21 Squad. Did I miss something this season or is Southgate just wanting to put him in the shop-window?

12 May 2016 21:28:51
get him in the english set up before its too late i guess, but as you say poor season don't deserve a call up.

13 May 2016 07:43:02
Hype beats form every time.
We must wish him well as he could perform better in the champs and then improve into a prem player.
Hopefully that will be with AVFC.

12 May 2016 18:18:14
Apparently Sherwood would love another crack at the Villa job? Don't you think if he got the players in he wants as 1st choice, he'd have a chance of getting us back up? Just putting it out there as he came across to me that he actually cared?

12 May 2016 19:12:15
I'd take tim back I a second to be fare. he did not want or choose half of the players he got. good motivation skills and good in front of TV. I mean look at remi guard. wanted kone khazri and both have played big part in keeping Sunderland up. the men in power at villa screwed both men over with players so in a beat I'd take tim and give him money to spend.

12 May 2016 22:40:26
He had a bit of John Gregory about him, some good times when he was in charge after Brian jacked, would love Gregory to be involved at Villa in some capacity under new ownership. Had a chat with him after that open training session when Merse signed, quality bloke, as big a fan of Villa as anyone

13 May 2016 07:58:14
Kingvilla, you state that Sherwood was screwed by the men in power. These people screwed ALL of the managers.
If
Lambert had got the full support he could have prevented the fall from grace that has happened in Lerners ownership.
I select Lambert as an example as he did as he was told, bought players cheaply with the hope that they would develop into selling prospects.
Had a cup of sand to spend but Lerner expected bars of gold and sales that would provide funds for more spending.
Lerner should be charged with disrespecting our club.
Not sure if this is a capital offence, wish it was!

13 May 2016 17:20:40
Normally, any disrespect shown on the back streets of Aston gets you bummed. Here's hoping .

12 May 2016 17:53:57
So a more attractive managerial position has just come up.? Don't you think all the bosses we're speculating over are now going to want the Everton job over us?

UTV.

12 May 2016 18:54:35
Why would they Allyp!

12 May 2016 21:36:15
Premier League club, the next Everton manager would probably be given time, their 3 most coveted players would pull in £100M+ (Lukaku, Stones, Barkley) if they sold them on top of all the extra TV money, we're a championship side now, in limbo over ownership, if Everton called Pearson etc about the job tomorrow, do you think he's going to say 'I'll get back to you, wanna see who buys Villa 1st? ' Just being honest?

12 May 2016 13:39:09
I see Wahbi kahzri has been getting the plaudits. Why exactly didn't we sign him?

12 May 2016 15:22:11
because that would have meant spending more than £1 on someone that's not crap or old.

12 May 2016 19:13:32
cus our men in power are fools and look where we end up and where Sunderland end up. well done paddy riley and Co.

12 May 2016 20:36:55
Have you been watching what has been going on at Villa for the last 4 years?

13 May 2016 15:47:54
Have u been watching? Certainly have, I think I should have posted that as a statement rather than a question.

12 May 2016 11:26:48
Instead of talking about the owner situation, let's have a discussion over what each of us would do if we came into the club as manager and had money to spend.

I think the only players I would look to keep are:

Bunn, Hutton, Lyden, Clark, Amavi, Toner, Westwood, Gardner, Ayew, Grealish, Gueye, Hepburn-Murphy, Traore and Gestede.

That's only 15 players, many of them young players. But we need an overhaul and 10 signings would not be out of the question.

I hope that we have money to spend. I'd be targetting the likes of McCormack who are proven quality in the Championship but have the ability to step up to the mark in the EPL.

What's your thoughts guys? Who would you target?

Quodos to the poster mentioning Terry - I wonder if he would be interested if he was offered a two year deal and the Captaincy.

12 May 2016 12:49:30
Westwood had 4yrs get rid, Ayew Gueye will move, as Bunn will be no2 need a new keeper, Barton would add some experience I mention Terry a long time ago would be a great free transfer McCormack looks the part, all depends on the buyer what players we can attract, and manager.

12 May 2016 18:05:33
Westwood next season will be at his true level, leave the kid alone, it's a squad game, it's going to be wed/ sat wed/ sat, at least he tries, see who takes over and how much they're going to back us before we bin off half decent players, think Gana and Ayew will want to leave from that list which is a shame, hope Amavi gives us at least till January, definitely need some solid championship players, Terry is an excellent shout but I'd say someone like Dawson from Hull would be more realistic, maybe Huddlestone too, not my 1st choices but we've got to be realistic, get back in the Prem then think about better quality players

UTV.

12 May 2016 19:06:59
Westwood true level division 1, what has he done in 4yrs, Hope we have a manager who puts a bit more faith in youth, Dawson, Huddlestone should be nowhere near Villa Park, we should have better options.

12 May 2016 20:36:46
You are dead right vilkajk.
We should be prem league champs, we should rule Europe, and be winning every FA cup.
But we are not! We are a championship side. We need the players who will get us out of that league.
That doesn't mean world class, but tough, hard fit professionals. We need a back bone more than we need flare.

12 May 2016 22:29:28
Last time we went down if I remember right we were buying players like Steve Sims, not really Villa class but done the job for us which was getting promoted back to where we belonged, might not quite be of the same era but I don't think Paulo Maldini would of been as effective? Horses for courses, if Ellison was to buy us we could buy anyone but Messi would struggle in the championship because they'd kick the crap outta him! Rudy is a good championship striker, need a sniffer with him up front though, I've suggested Gary Hooper before, if circumstances had been different, I'd have gone all out to get Jordan Rhodes, proven at the level we're at but not likely to score the winning goal in the World Cup Final, McCormack could be considered the same

12 May 2016 23:06:48
bit sarcastic Flackie, if you think a couple more journey men ie Dawson, Huddlestone would be good buys, I think we should aim higher, and I don't to win every honour, our midfield is slow with Huddlestone it would be slower imo.

13 May 2016 13:43:14
Wasn't meant to be sarcastic, but we can't look at potential signings with rose tinted glasses. We are not a big club, or a big pull while in championship, that's a fact mate, and we have to be realistic, and buy accordingly.

13 May 2016 15:12:09
Flackie we might be in the championship but we are still a big club imo, if we get good owners, who get a good manager, we will attract good players, and we must get rid of the rubbish that took us down I have seen some bad villa teams but none compare to this lot.

13 May 2016 16:28:31
But they will only be mercenaries coming for a payday!
Is that what we want?

13 May 2016 18:35:32
we want instant promotion, Barton would not cost much and would give the midfield some bite and passion, Terry would be a dream, add a keeper a striker with younger player we already have and things would look better,

13 May 2016 18:58:36
Can't see Barton leaving Burnley after being named their player of the year and a season in the Prem to look forward to? There's talk that Terry been offered a deal to stay at Chelsea, it woulda been a long long shot anyway, name the players you think we can get? We can agree or shoot you down? Till we get back up, we're going to be looking at the same caliber of player that Newcastle, Norwich, the richer clubs in the championship are going to go after, hate to say it but we're damaged goods, unless it's for a payday like Flackie said, why would you come to Villa unless you were a lifelong fan?

UTV.

13 May 2016 21:04:23
long shout but if take over is good, with cash and good manager, anything possible I don't see buying inferior players would help Dawson, Huddlestone there as poor as we already have.

13 May 2016 21:42:55
So who instead of Dawson and Huddlestone? I'm not saying we should buy them, I'm saying that's the level we're at and if you had the choice between Lesscott and Dawson, or Sanchez and Huddlestone, 99% of everyone on here would go for the Hull lads surely?

UTV.

15 May 2016 18:47:26
not me I would not go for any of those all 4 are crap.

12 May 2016 09:12:45
This one goes out to villa fans like flackie, loads of bloggers saying nigel pearson is stalling on signing with us, he fancies the boro job, not seen the birmingham mail yet, and my contact in china will only tell me if i buy the latest model of vinyl vera i get a two year warranty and a three month part-exchange clause built in to the deal!, i pressed him about the takeover of us but all he would say was that for another 30 euros they'd stencil a tattoo of the villa crest anywhere i wanted on her!, joking aside; (i got him down to 20 euros but that's another story) i don't if the papers have printed it yet;but it would appear the answer to flackie's prayers may come true after all! i shall be interested to hear what kingvilla's contacts over there have to say, seem's pearson may not have impressed them after all!

12 May 2016 10:06:38
Today is a good day! 😉

12 May 2016 17:24:09
Don't count your chickens just yet, but maybe there is hope of no n. p at v. p, don't stop believin', utv.

12 May 2016 08:23:35
Another day, another name for a takeover. I'm really frustrated here now- there seem to be endless lists of names in the papers but nothing from the club. I can only hope that something happens at the end of the season, because I wouldn't put it past the board to make this story up.

12 May 2016 06:56:04
It seems as if all and sundry are now convinced that Di Matteo is to be our Messiah. Bookies have stopped taking bets so it must be right.
Are these the people that gave 5000/ 1 that Leicester could not win the prem?
Di Matteo is out of work at present. Why?
We could all fill a page with out of work managers that would be willing to have a go at VP but there are also several managers that end their contracts in a few weeks time.
There are not many Potchetinos about but that is what we want.
Pellegrino, Koeman, O'Neil all are at the end of contracts, could this be another choice.
Moyes, Pearson appear to be where the fans want to go.
What a shame big Sam is happy at SAFC as he really is a motivator.
So I will now wait for the surprise and when an appointment is made simply say "didn't see that coming" or will we?

12 May 2016 09:23:06
I'm sure Martinez will be on the rumour-mill very shortly since he's clearly on his way out of Everton.

12 May 2016 09:24:15
Please don't bring back martin o'neill, i remember him buying a defender from newcastle when they got relegated (i think his name was beye? ), he played the first game against liverpool, and after that, he spent vitually all season picking the splinters out off his asre from sitting on the bench, the most important fact was that he was on 40k a week, in the end he went to huddersfield for tuppence i think, remember we bought stuart downing while he still had a broken.

12 May 2016 17:46:31
Hype says that we have already signed the new man so thank god this would rule out Martinez .
MON kept us towards the top and we fell apart after he went. He made some poor signings but he got us higher than anyone else.
Whoever comes in mistakes will be made but hopefully they will also sign some reasonable players.
The hope is that enough money will be on offer for the new man to get us back in the prem asap.

12 May 2016 04:30:47
We really need to get the new owners in and a manager in place with Newcastle and Norwich now down with us I think we need to get to work In getting rid of Deadwood and bring in new players ASAP it will be a tough league next year and Norwich are already equipped and Newcastle will be a tough challenge as well as all the other teams that are there year in year out. They will probably be after the same players as us in terms of proven championship players so we really need to get a move on and get in what we want player wise asap.
