My club, My City, My taxis here, See ya 👋

Was all BS wasn't it. Well he could have gone down as our best ever, statues, stands named after him the lot. The club progressing year on year under new ownership, 65 million spent this summer on players to improve the team and put better quality around him, but no, it isn't enough.

Thanks for the memories Jack, but the one that will last is you ditching us with 10 games to go before the season. Cheers👍.

I can’t believe the dirt he is getting tbh, guy is leaving to go play champions league football and to compete for the top honours.

You guys have made a good climb up the ladder, and Jack has played a massive part in getting you there. He obviously just doesn’t think he will win the big trophies with you.

Good luck for the season ahead chaps!

The sooner it’s made official the better, then we can draw a line under it, and move on. This has dragged on far too long now.

I cannot believe the attitude of some who now turn on Grealish.
I have posted before that if, in normality, you get offered a job that pays more and gives greater opportunity to develop then you would take it without a backward glance.
We will exist without Jack, we are not a one man team.
Yes he is Villa through and through but golden opportunities don't hit your doormat every day.
With the players we are targeting we may well entertain MCFC in the coming season, including Jack, and turn them over.
How we would all love that game.
We are Aston Villa not Grealish Utd, and we will continue to develop.
Our owners will see to that development and if Deano is with us or someone else is in place we will still be ASTON VILLA.

Will be done by close today I believe but I don’t think Jack deserves the stick he is getting he is going to compete for medals and to be coached by one of the best in the world, we are getting £100 million and the club seem fairly relaxed about it all I think we should be too. If the investment is right I genuinely think we will be a better squad.

TOV, wise words mate, everyone in every walk of life wants the best for themselves and family, i just can't understand why fans would be so bitter when a guy who has given so much of his entire football career and given enjoyment to many of us should now suddenly turn him in to a villain, shame on you.

Loyalty works both ways.

Playing for the club you support isn’t a job, and wouldn’t be for any fan of the club, drag someone off the Holte and let them play for ridiculous sums of money for the team they love, they wouldn’t see it as a job.

That analogy doesn’t work here.

Leaving the club you support, that you called your club your city, said you loved playing for less than a month ago, with 8 games to go until the start of the season, is not loyalty. Add to that the club that kept you out of jail, manager that protected you at every turn and it’s the furthest thing from loyalty you can get.

If you want to be a happy clapper and accept the fact that in one move we are put 3+ years backwards that’s up to you. But please don’t try and dress it up and make it seem like he’s done us a favour, and never try to claim he’s still one of us.

We are Aston Villa before him and after him, but that doesn’t take him out of the same category as Delph. He left after two days of saying he loved the club, Grealish has left it what? 28 days something like that.
