First game this season I've actually agreed with the team selection. Hutton motm for me today, although all the team had a good game. Good tactics and sensible subs at the right time. A point at everton and 3 off watford at home and i'd be satisfied. 6 points i'd be over the moon! Hope remi will stick with the team today except the odd change now and again, give grealish a run. Not change it every week like sherwood lol. Utv.

I don't think RG will chop and change week In week out to much he knows his stuff on first hand, need the players to regain confidence that it self boost them 10/20 % on top of performance's, whole team played well compared to what we've witnessed so far, good shout on Hutton MOM either him or Gil I thought, ayew tried but struggled he isn't an out and out striker and yes Sinclair tried aswell but the change I say for Everton is Gestede back as might cause EFC def issues,1 thing I've already been impressed with RG he looks like BOSS, BOSS if you know what I mean where's TS came in initially (yes saved us thanls TS) but was like a mate and one of the lads but I think through summer he tried to become the BOSS which changed him and maybe relationship towards players, maybe for once now another chance NZOGGY will finally show us why we brought him doubt it tho but who knows.

2.) 09 Nov 2015 07:58:58
I thought Ayew was different grade today ran his socks off and closed down their back line on many occasions didn't have much in the way of support. Also thought when Lazy gestede come on it changed the game IMO he don't close down useless at winning balls in the air (apart from attacking from corners or free kicks) For a big fella he can't hold the ball up. On the other hand Ayew won balls in the air and looks a totally different player from a month ago.

3.) 09 Nov 2015 17:16:50
Ayew/ Gestede are not good enough, but we have no one else! unless Gabby decides to play? NZOGGY awaste.

I understand where people are coming from when they say sherwood spent 50 million, but the fact of the matter is we lost our 2 best players plus vlar. We were never going to replace them as players of that quality wouldn't be interested in a relegation battle for a club in limbo with lerner. I hope ts can turn it around.

i'm not sure how many of the new players he actually chose himself either. Beat swansea and think we could turn it around. Trying to stay possituve. COME ON! Utv.

Have to say I totally agree, this new fella who came to us from the arse (nal), is a massive believer in the moneymaking system of scouting a player, hence it's gone a bit wonky, give Tim the support and time, it'll work, I still feel we sack him, who'd come in to a club which is rudderless, no manager worth his salt, not unless you want another yes man or blue nose refugee.

2.) 22 Oct 2015 15:17:55
I think that Sherwood's tactics and player transfers have been somewhat questionable. I don't believe that the lack of time and support are the reasons.

But if Sherwood gets sacked, then Villa should appoint Laudrup.

Laudrup is the only manager I know, who fits the bill at Aston Villa. He knows the attacking play very well, and will have almost no problems communicating with the players. He learned during his player career at Barcelona, Juventus, Real Madrid, Lazio and Ajax. He also played in the Japanese top league for a while, and has played well throughout his career. In my opinion he has a wealth of experience. Plus he is a proven manager, having won seven titles.

How perfect would that be for Aston Villa?

3.) 22 Oct 2015 16:26:26
Totally agree mate. I have rated and wanted Laudrup for a long time, before he was at Swansea even. Never quite understood why nobody has snapped him up since he left Swansea either? though I do vaguely remember reading that he felt he had been poorly treated by the club and the British media and that he wasn't interested in returning to the Premier League, but money talks. Cause there's sweet FA else we could offer him to come besides money.

4.) 23 Oct 2015 09:21:03
Laudrup would undoubtedly be a good appointment but wouldn't say his the only answer, David Moyes gave an average Everton side top 8 regularly on a shoe string budget, could be just as good an appointment!

No luck at all today. Batterd them first half then there 1st chance and they get a scrappy goal! Pfffff! I think we do look better since remi took over we just haven't got any luck, nothing seems to go our way. M. Richards solid, ayew looks better every game and adama should be starting every game. Hutton great untill og. I think we should try adama up front or cf see how he does, mad pace and skins players for fun. If i'm honest i think were gone this season after today, can't see randy investing in jan either when he can see what's coming and if there's a gap at the bottom. If we go down he can slash his asking price in half.
Trying to stay positive after a very good first half today.

Guzan out. Distibution is so slow and hesitant. He was basicaly standing on the post for the free kick. I knew it would go in! Never been a huge fan, was happier with given in goal for the cup run last year. Would rather see gil in gabbies place. Ayew looked sharp. ish todayand him scoring was a big positive!
Weve been bad past few games at home but i can honestly say i don't dred going k4 like i did under lambert.
Really want tim to do well.
I get the impression there's a lot of shhhht going on behind closed doors. What could be worse for a passionate manager like tim to have an owner that doesn't give a shhhht about the club.
Lerner out

Gotta say i'm worried after the past couple of games and starting to doubt sherwood after fully backing him till now. Different team played every week. ? Just put out the best 11 and leave them to 'gel'. WHY IS WESTWOOD STILL TAKING CORNERS??? Awful. The only player that has stood out for me every game is richards, worried he'll be poached if we don't improve.
It was like watching us under lambert today.
COME ON VILLA!

First game of the season at home i thought we looked good. Yeah we lost but wasnt dominated by a "top 4 side". a lot of new players that will take time to gel so have to be patient. Nearly all players looked to give 100% chasing the ball etc. Gabby tho? I love him villa through and through but he's just not good enough. Hope tim will sub him next game. Clark and richards look solid at the back and amavi looks to be a great player. Midfield looked improved aswell. Got to admit even though we lost i enjoyed the game, great atmosphere aswell. So much more positive to lambert tactics.

enough said about gabby,
ayew very disappointing so far,
need to see more from veretout.
Gana & Amavi great starts.
For me we have a number of players who can weigh in with a goal, what we lack is a genuine goal threat (like tekkers).

2.) 15 Aug 2015 13:02:12
I think we have a goal threat in rudy just creative side let us down, but with gil grealish adama and okere to come in I think we have a solid foundation, amavi looked class, gana looks good , veretout maybe a bit of time to settle along with ayew but that is to be expexted but i'm happy to be fair
up the villa !

3.) 15 Aug 2015 13:52:00
Why why why is Kozak not playing,2 seasons of nothing from gabby and Libor has looked decent, might not be the quickest but at least he can score, very impressed with TS signings this summer but for me we need to start with Rudy and Libor

1st time posting. can't believe delph would be so naive to sign for city. He stands out at villa, can't see him doing the same for city. Thought richards would have persuaded him to stay. I think he's making a big mistake, can't see him as a starter week in week out for them. Surely he must know they have unlimited funds and are buying him because he's english not because he's an exceptional talent.

{Ed007's Note - Welcome to the site mate.}

1.) 11 Jul 2015 05:06:11
Well he couldn't have had two better examples in Sinclair and Richards of what can happen at City so he obviously wasn't going to be persuaded to stay. Big question is who do we replace him with? We got Gueye but being as Cleverley bailed too we surely need another midfielder in.
