I read that Micah Richards called a fan a clown for having a go at him for been on holiday. He stated he is entitled to a break after a long hard season. Correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like he has played 25 games this season? That's 2250 minutes plus injury time of football, depending on if he played every game? I presume he trains three times a week, maybe five hours a day? If some of that is gym stuff then lucky boy, as I have to train in my personal time. I am in no way having a go at Villa, a fallen giant at the moment. What I am getting at is the attitude of a player, who should be spending every spare minute trying to train in order to try and keep your team up, not justifying going on holiday by calling someone a clown. I work 40-50 hours a week in a stressful, hard job and have not had a break to go away for 2 years now.

Shano as much as I agree with you, and that I think he is well out of order, and is poss the worse signing these season.
They are entitled to time off. Whether you agree or not, this was agreed with club, sanctioned and is very common.
What went on in this break, was pathetic as professional sports men, but shows there attitude.
Your playing time is spot on. He is a joke.

Also, I wonder if you posting this on here is because of his Citeh connection??

Shano, you are right in everything you say . People have always suspected, that Gabby isn't the sharpest knife in the box . But boy has he proved it, after all the uproar from the first lot of photos, we now see him on his hooka or with Babby mor like a hooker pipe . i'm sorry but the kid is completely delusional, if him and captain fantastic think they can disrespect the fans the club by doing what they have and flaunt it in people's faces . I agree everybody deserves a holiday for working hard, but when was that . The people who work hard are the ones, who turn up week after week to watch Gabby have his mysterious virtigo attacks . I bet half of them can't afford a holiday, after paying you wages . Like I say they are just dilusional, overpaid who wouldent know what hard work was . Up the Villa.

Totally agree, Dave. If I were the Villa manager, I would have got rid of them both as captains. Problem is, we don't have a manager. They are the representatives of the team at the moment and they aren't living up to their expectations.

Is there no integrity in our club anymore?
Why post that jack? Pathetic!

And. Gary Neville anyone??
I have a strange feeling, seeing how our owner appoints unproven, younger coaches, that this will tempt him!!

30 Mar 2016 18:19:44
When I heard Neville had been sacked on the radio thought the same thing flackie!

30 Mar 2016 18:49:35
Neville? Dear o dear.

30 Mar 2016 18:53:40
Exactly villadaz!!
But would you be very surprised?!

I know with Lerner, I wouldn't be!!

30 Mar 2016 19:06:57
With the new regime in place they got too get this one rIght Flackie my 1st choice who I wanted before Lamberk was Michael Laudrup and that hasn't changed.

30 Mar 2016 20:09:40
Mine would be Moyes!
But, laudrup would be exciting. But not great experience, of either English football, or the championship.

How about a curve ball and go for M. O'NEILL?
On a recent TV interview he was asked about the managers job at VP.
He played cool and finally said "not tomorrow. "
His contract ends in the summer so he will be available and should he know that Lerner is not involved, either by Hollis keeping him away or a new owner being in place, then I think he would be open to an offer as he has unfinished business at VP.
Yes a wide shot but he was the last manager that had us all happy with the team.
Yes I know he spent Lerners money but we had a football team to be proud of regardless.
My call Martin O'Neil.

30 Mar 2016 21:18:42
And he jumps ship at the first time of trouble too old villian sorry as much as I agree on most things you say he made his bed when he left us last time.

31 Mar 2016 19:32:44
Jumped ship when Lerner went back on his word.
At the time we all thought that he was blameworthy, but when one reviews what Lerner has done to all the managers since you see that all along Lerner has been to blame by not funding the team.
Looking at the prospective managers they are available because they have failed in their roles or are good championship managers.
I want to see us go out and get a proven prem. Manager.
Moyes is a good shout but he has lost his last two jobs, not good on your CV.

Another payout for a departing manager, how much has been paid to managers who have failed due to not getting funds?
Garde will have got the majority of his contract paid up as it was the board that failed to keep their part of the contract.
The board MUST support the next manager or the next owner must support the new man.
When one looks at the way Hollis is running the business there is a clear view that the Dec ks have been cleared to make AVFC an interesting company to buy.

31 Mar 2016 08:20:08
It was mutual consent, so I don't think there was a payout.

31 Mar 2016 19:35:19
Mutual consent is a nice way of saying that there were no losers.
The board keep credibility and Garde went away with an offer.
Job done!

Another thought, eric black has been put in charge until we get our target manager on board but the press are saying pearson and moyes don't want to join till the summer, surely this is a mistake, we all know were going down like the titanic, if our new manager were to come in now, he could assess the players while they're fit (vertigo permitting! ), try different formations and evaluate the whole squad together rather than wait till summer till they are fit (ish) and more importantly, match fit, that way come the end of the season we can do a (Fergie) and get our business done early and so when they get back from their "jolly hollies"we'll have jettisoned the drosh, the manager will have the squad he wants to have from day one and with the new signings and the whingers gone the atmosphere should be a million times better;what do you guys and gals think?

30 Mar 2016 05:29:39
One if my neighbours told me an interesting story about many years ago when david moyes was manager of preston north end we asked him to come and join as assistant manager to graeme taylor for a season and then he would take over as manager of us, he turned it down siting ambition and wanting to be his own "man", he then left p. n e. and became everton manager, is it fate that now after all these years (and with a wealth of experience) he now feels it's time to step in and step up, or do we go with a man who tells his own supporters to"die" and refuses to apologize to put the matter to bed? the new chap bevington is apparently a whizz about presenting public perception and image, the question is can he remedy the accident waiting to happen with our own new potential loose cannon (manager), i think i know which i'd prefer, the question is, do you?
