For me we should keep ross mac wots the point signing another striker when we have 1 an one of the best strikers in league if he works hard bruce should get his whip out an whip him in to shape so he doesn't waste his talent . the talents there just like hogan he worked hard an now he looks the player that we paid 12 mil for . my point is keep him if he wants to stay if not then bye byes.

"Ross Mac wots the point" is not a bad nickname for him.

I know that McCormack doesn't deserve it but we need a backup striker and we don't have the money to buy one.
Let him stay with us as an emergency player as on occasions he did perform.
Bruce has stated that he will not accept pocket money for him so he will still be on the books.
Keep him in the squad, train with the squad and let's see what happens.
We have changed our formation and seen improvement in the whole team. Could the change suit McCormack?
Unless real money comes in then use him. We don't know why all the other rubbish took place but something went on.
Lazy, miserable, bad attitude but this could be a number of players.
Keep him, we are paying him, and if by chance he was in the team for our promotion game and scored, the more reasonable posters would be over the moon. The others would still rather have him skinned alive.
Me, it's not about us, it's about getting back in the prem with whatever we have, even using McCormack if needed.
I now await the torrent of abuse that will surely follow by the less tolerant.
Promotion is the sole objective. Personal likes and dislikes are of no consequence.

I would do exactly that, we know he can score goals, if he wants out make him earn it.
Surely the more goals he scores the better for Villa, also he would attract more interest from a wider range of clubs, does he not realise that.
We are not going to get anything like the money we paid for him until he starts performing, so get on with it man up and prove yourself McCormack, the GATES are open for you.

Everyone deserves a second chance and if we can’t afford a striker, McCormack is one of the best the league has ever seen. He’s scoring for fun, albeit in a poor league but it isn’t that bad. I remember 3 times very clearly, under both Bruce and Di Matteo when Kodjia took a shot under pressure when McCormack was free for a tap in, into an open goal, the most prominent being leeds at home. I still think if he had been given the ball in them 3 situations that’s an extra 6 points for us and it would of saved his villa career. His attitude was obviously poor however he seems to be back on track, whether it’s because he’s got no distractions over there or what not I don’t know but the way he plays he’d thrive in this team and there isn’t many better back up options in this league. However I can’t see this happening, just don’t think him and Bruce will be able to put things behind them.

Daz, we don't have the readies but we do have a goal scorer.
Bruce needs to sort the problem so THAT AVFC can move forward and upwards.
McCormack may have had time to think and realise that he was a total arse.
We need a goal scorer, he may not get a chance if Hogan can keep his form, and we have one doing jack.
We are paying him, let's use him.
Promotion is the goal by any means!

Understand your sentiments Old Villian but even Heskey tore that league up and he was 35 when he was there mate I'm not disagreeing with you he does have goals in him but his attitude stinks his off the pitch antics stink and for me we have enough of them in the squad without adding to it we are going along nicely at the moment without him causing anymore mayhem he don't suit the club and we don't suit him just like Collymore attitude is everything maybe a swap or another loan to maybe Sunderland might suit and just for my last statement didn't the club he loves and they loved him turn him down again AKA Fulham for me that says a lot mate.

27 Jan 2018 09:32:49
Don’t thinj thwy turned him down to be honest, papers came out saying their manager wanted him, it never happened, so papers said they turned him down. Then him and all his old teams mates came out saying it wasn’t BS that they didn’t want want I’m back etc.

Be carefull what you wish for folks! Would you put the stabillity and good feeling running through the dressing room at risk. At a crucial point in the season when we are making that all important push. i'm all for people getting second chances and if the attitude he has, has changed by all means give him the chance. personaly i don't think it has. Its a big risk that could unsettle the squad .

27 Jan 2018 18:17:44
Don't you think a senior player like Terry could sort this out?

Terry may well be able to sort it out. On the other hand would mccfartface undermine him, he certainly tried to undermine the manager. That said looks like ulloa is of to brighton so maybe he may get that chance. There is talk of magoldrick from ipswich though not prolific but steady and with a better attitude.
