So apparently King and Bernstein left after an email was leaked. Email talked of their disappointment of RL attitude to the changes required and need for new manager and funds ready for next season. Email leaked to RL and he replied to them both making his feelings kin known. Hence their resignations as positions untenable. I have the tiny hope that the new owners will get them both back in the boardroom as soon as the deal is done.

Makes you wonder who leaked the Email,

So, Burton, Walsall, Blue Noses, Wolves, Forest and Derby. Brilliant - I've found the upside: For 25% of away games next season, I won't have to travel outside the Midlands! #Glass-half-full ;)

Whilst appearing to respond to my own post - Flackie attempted to reply to it earlier (as below) but must have had a few pints of Tiger first. My big worry now is that I end up in a worse position next season than Flackie did this year. Burton is just down the road from me, my best mate is a 50-year Walsall supporter, my Godson and all his family are Wolves season-ticket holders, my Mom is a lifetime Derby supporter and my missus is trying to trim down her Forest - only kidding! My missus is unfortunately from Sunderland so (at this point) is unable to take the Psis.

Can't believe you answered your own post!!
Self absorbed or what?! Lol

This year mate has been pure hell!!
I wouldn't wish it on anyone!

Reports state that Celtics Manager is leaving in the summer.
Would imagine that David Moyes would prefer that job to our beloved Villa.
I hope I'm wrong.

20 Apr 2016 17:44:03
Also, earlier rounds of cups! Bound to get local side, Coventry or Northants!! Yay! 😞

20 Apr 2016 18:17:10
Was meant to be posted in Above link! Sorry!! Lol

20 Apr 2016 19:14:19
From what I've seen, I don't think Moyes is the preferred candidate for Celtic fans. They don't want Lennon either, so I'm not quite sure who they want.

{Ed007's Note - I'm not impressed with any the names that have been linked with the job. The only one I'd take so far is Roy Keane and that's more to do with him being my role model in life rather than his management ability.
It would be a disaster if Neil Lennon came back here, would you want him at Villa? There was a lot more Celtic fans glad to see the back of Lennon than you'd think.}

20 Apr 2016 20:36:29
I'd agree about Roy Keane- he's one of a few managers with a lot of passion, and he'd have even more managing the team he supports. Regarding Lennon, I'd rather no manager than him- he didn't do anything more than expected at Celtic and got relegated with Bolton.

20 Apr 2016 20:07:30
Blimey Ed. If Keane is truly your life role-model, does that mean you have a Golden Retriever you value more than any human? Frankly I have one that I'd value higher than any of the Villa squad .

{Ed007's Note - I've got a wee Staffy called Yoda and it's a toss up who I like more between him and the wife. If Yoda could cook and clean she'd be getting hunted back to her mothers.}

20 Apr 2016 22:48:46
Know the feeling ed, my staffy is called Loki, although he can't clean, I'm sure he's a better cook than the Mrs.

{Ed007's Note - If you train them properly they soon pick things up, my Mrs turned out a decent cook but it took her years to get the hang of it. Yoda doesn't give me any problems.}

king as said of a sale within the next few weeks in an interview this morning. let's hope this don't fall apart and does happen. I now belive it more as he has been at the club and was a high player. that's why I feel both guys have gone as they are not part of what hopefully will happen. time will tell.

20 Apr 2016 08:17:18
I'm beginning to think now that lerner doesn't want to sell our great club, i honesty think he wants to destroy and shut it down completely.

20 Apr 2016 00:24:12
Don't know if you've heard, straight from the horses mouth, Prince Wills, Cameron and Tom Hanks have got a consortium together to buy Villa out, Word is Wills has raised money with help of his nan, but she wants to stay in the background . They want to change the badge to a lion and a unicorn with a crown on the top . The horse said he wasent sure who they wanted as manager, but the chosen one had been mentioned . Look don't shoot me, I'm just saying what the horse said . Up the Villa ( and horses mouths )

20 Apr 2016 02:12:04
who told you Martin keown. or was it collymore lol. joking aside let's hope a buyer is in the background and we finally get rid of Lerner.

20 Apr 2016 02:13:47
oh the horse told you so Martin keown must of told the horse lol.

20 Apr 2016 06:39:50
I'm cunfused, I though keown was the horse?

20 Apr 2016 06:53:41
Apparently the new badge will have the body of a horse with Martin Keown's head on it. Also, I have it on good authority that Wills is trying to persuade Prince Philip to take on the manager role, although the latter is also pondering a tempting offer from Bayern Munich.

20 Apr 2016 07:13:21
You may take the piss but I'm telling you all now we are plucked you will see in the coming weeks and months!

20 Apr 2016 08:49:39
Mate I'm only taking the psis, because the cold hard truth of it is, we are screwed. Unless there is something going on behind the scenes.
I don't doubt for one second you bet with keown, and this other chap. I have no reason to not believe you.
However, I do believe that our allusive owner plays all cards close to his chest, and I'm hoping there is something going on!
How ever, I have no proof, accept blind faith and limited logic!

I can't understand how, or why, a businessman like Lerner wouldn't speculate to accumulate, or in another way, just lay down and die.

I also do believe there is no smoke with out fire, and by this I mean, everyone knows we are for sale, so how can people say he won't sell!?
We all know there are buyers out there looking for clubs. Surely they are at least looking at us?

All I'm saying is, these things often happen, right under people's noses, and they don't see them until they are in closing stages.

I'm sure this is blind faith on my half, and as usual, nothing will happen, but until then, don't give up, at least not until my ex wife starts to sing.

One more thing daz. Get a grip! 😜

20 Apr 2016 09:40:34
Quite right Flackie. In my line of work I have been the subject of takeovers and now in the process of searching for companies for us to acquire. I can tell you all that these things are done very much on a need to know basis and very little is said or implied until it is at least down to the short strokes.

For all we know, we could be deep in discussions with interested parties as the club statement says (part of me wonders if that could have been a ploy to distract the press and us from the resignation revelations but I am trying to ignore that) .

The thing is, it doesn't seem likely that Keown would get to hear anything although I admit, with those ears, he can probably pick up most things that we mere mortals would not.

20 Apr 2016 11:22:41
this is all I'm trying to say. nothing against villadaz or keown but neither of you would know anything until it's done or very close. we all just belive nothing good will happen because we have been let down so much by the tool running the show.

20 Apr 2016 11:36:46
and no villadaz I don't want to bet you mate as you are probably right and I think I'm just hoping and praying that there is someone talking to us about buying us. all I mainly was trying to get across after being involved in sales and buyouts myself is keown would not know anything mate. these things are kept very in house with the big boys. good bit of banter with you though mate.

20 Apr 2016 11:45:45
I also agree with Ed as a regular visitor to China and knowing a few people there there is 3 or 4 people with a lot of money behind them looking to buy an English club and that's why I hold this blind faith that we will soon be sold at some point.
