Rumour coming out that the villa hierarchy are reluctant to commit to a 2.4 million pound loan deal for Mathieu Debuchy, if that's true i can see remi sticking his too figures up and resigning, would'd blame him at all if it happens.

Feel sorry for the manager as the board are awful.

2.) 31 Jan 2016 21:31:56

3.) 31 Jan 2016 22:02:42

Tripe!

So delphs signing for man city, what a, ** better not swear. can't see him playing more than a handful of games. money money money. give it till xmas and he'll be crying about what he as done.

villanick

1.) 10 Jul 2015 17:44:09
I honestly am gutted

2.) 10 Jul 2015 17:45:31
Better for them to move on if they are not 100% AVFC, Benteke will be gone as soon as Sterling goes to City, I want to see TS build his own team full of winners not losers with delusions of grandeur holding the club to ransom or threatening to leave every transfer window! Onwards and upwards! VTID

3.) 10 Jul 2015 17:50:00
I'll laugh my ass off if they sign Pogba now. Like so many others he will rot on the bench/reserves and he can wave bye bye to his England place if he isn't getting much game time. I really thought he would end up being one of the main figureheads for England at the Euro's and the next world cup but others are bound to step up and push for his place. I don't mind so much that he is leaving but that big speech mid season about loyalty and the players being like brothers was obviously rubbish and the disingenuousness of it really pisses me off.

Shame about the miniscule amount of money involved, but at least he isn't going on a free and if players don't want to play for the club then good riddance.

4.) 10 Jul 2015 18:19:41
Agree completely Smudger

5.) 10 Jul 2015 18:51:38
Cheers villadave let's look forward to a new era with players who respect the club and want to play/ win for the club and supporters.

6.) 10 Jul 2015 18:56:01
I think we all knew that Delph and Benteke would not be with us for the start of next season so I am assuming that Tim as already got plans for replacing them both, so let's just wait and see what the end of the transfer window brings and what becomes of the takeover before getting too disheartened. :-)

7.) 10 Jul 2015 19:27:29
Yes Delph has been great for the last 2/3 seasons but has been poor before that. I think Delph and Villa are a good fit but he will struggle at Citeh, maybe he should ask some people for advice may I suggest

Scott Sinclair
Adam Johnson
Gareth Barry
Jack Rodwell

All of the above were shining lights for their respective clubs and were used by Citeh to fill their homegrown quota. Sound familiar Fabian??????

Season 2017/2018 Delph will not be at City, I can almost guarantee it.

8.) 10 Jul 2015 19:32:00
I am very happy Joker, as Smudger said if they don`t want to wear the shirt get rid, nobody is bigger than the club.
We will be a better side once all the imports have settled, we have done nothing with the ones we are getting rid of, so all I can say is good luck to the departures and “COME ON YOU LIONS”

9.) 10 Jul 2015 20:56:27
Agreed villadave, we were indeed a bottom club with the players that we had, a lot of new blood was and still is needed but things may well turn out for the better and I am still looking forward to next season and remain optimistic.

03 Jul 2015 08:00:36
Looks like southampton are going to entice Idrissa Gueye to them with a 10 million pound bid, if it happens it will show have far we have fallen, if a smaller club like them are preferred to us.

villanick

1.) 03 Jul 2015 11:12:56
It's all good. He's just agreed personal terms and is having a medical now (pretty much).

2.) 03 Jul 2015 11:17:27
He has agreed4 year deal and having hus medical as I write this, so no Southampton 11hour raid here

3.) 03 Jul 2015 12:13:05
Praet would be a great signing he's got everything can score dribble an assit he's a real talent stil want us to sign a couple of strikers

4.) 03 Jul 2015 12:47:52
smaller club???? southampton are on par if not above us in stature at the moment, i'm a big villa fan but we will implode and gradually fall deeper and deeper unless we get the sale sorted

5.) 03 Jul 2015 16:40:40
So you base the size of a club on their fortunes over a few seasons. No thought for the fanbase, history or honours won?

6.) 03 Jul 2015 18:23:29
Just waiting a,work permit now all but done otherwise

7.) 03 Jul 2015 20:36:18
Why does he need a work permit anyway? we have thousands of immigrants already living and working in the UK without even a genuine passport. hell, they will probably give him a free house too

24 Jun 2015 16:55:45
Looks like liverpool want to take delph and give us probably their worst striker, ha ha what a load of ******

villanick

1.) 24 Jun 2015 19:26:29
depends who we get in the deal, lambert i think we are a season too late to get him and borini i think had good few weeks at sunderland couple seasons ago but othen than that he's pap, so never know we might get lucky and get mario on loan for a season hahaha

02 Feb 2015 21:41:01
Lambert turns down a move to villa so this clown of a manager allows Callum Robinson to rejoin preston, it beggers believe.

villanick

1.) 03 Feb 2015 01:20:50
I'm glad lambert turned us down. The actual price is fairly irrelevant but to pay Liverpool more for him now than they paid southampton would have been rediculous. On top of that, it would have added another laughing stick signing to the increasing list of lamberts. Let's consider this season: joe Cole, senderos just for starters - can anybody say they are surprised by their 'impact'? Let's then look back to this time last year when we signed holt. What a joke that turned out to be. I needn't go on, but why stop now I'm on a roll. Tonev - awful. Loaning out Hutton for 2 seasons - awful (now our best player), El a'hamardi - awful. Luna - awful. Lowton - awful. N'zogbia - awful.

As for players already there that are far too much game time, let's start with captain Gabby - how on earth does he inspire. His goal scoring record has been shocking every single season. Weimann - awful.

I wonder if lambert could turn back the clock which of his signings he would re- make. Less than 10% I bet.

2.) 03 Feb 2015 07:29:32
Actually Woodsville55.

I do agree that we probably should not have offered 5mil for Lambert, but we are desperate, and unfortunately Liverpool know that so had us over a barrel.

With regards to this season, Senderos looked decent when he was in the first team, remember we did not concede many with him at the back before his injury, as a free signing i thought he was good.

A few of the signings Lambert have made are crap, Lowton is a good player, but unfortunately Lambert has coached the skill out of him and made him look crap. He was 1st choice for a whole season before Lambert decided he didn't like him any more.

Weimann is also a good talent. You obviously don't see the running off the ball that he does and the fact that Lambert plays him on the wing every match. How is he supposed to score from there?

The problem is Lambert. Put another manager with a tactical brain in charge, not this cretin, and i'm sure that the player would blossom.

Lamberts best decision must be. no goals in 8 games, let's get rid of Bent and Robinson. clueless!!!!

Wish he would walk or get the sack, but more change of us singing Messi in the summer!

3.) 03 Feb 2015 09:54:47
Yes I agree master V. Senderos looked decent at the start. I think the nail in the coffin for me for lambert was when we were 1-0 up against southampton and with 15 minutes left he takes off Sanchez and brings on bent. I don't think lambert could ever justify doing that.

4.) 03 Feb 2015 14:37:36
Think about the other side. Rickie Lambert has been told, we accepted an offer, you can go. and he has chosen to stay (I'm glad we didn't get him in, but that's not my point here). He now gets to go to practice every day, look at the team sheet each weekend, knowing they wanted rid of him anyway, knowing he is not wanted at the club that signed him in the summer. We talk about clueless, take a look at Rodgers. He has some sort of system (supposedly) that he likes, and signs all kinds of players that don't fit into it. Balotelli, Lambert etc.

5.) 06 Feb 2015 16:57:44
The point is SPfister9, I'm not interested in the other side or in Brendan Rogers or in how Rickie Lambert gets on at Liverpool knowing the club wanted to get rid of him
Got more on my mind with Villa at the moment mate

2.) 14 May 2016 19:33:00

3.) 14 May 2016 20:09:17
Did I go as easily or as quickly as you describe the Villa sale? Somehow I think not
I doubt you spent £75 million quid either
Acquisitions are a slow and laborious process.

4.) 14 May 2016 20:15:28
Monopoly don't count nick ( oj) :)

Bluenose scores twice and a ex bluenose picking the team what chance did we really have, looks like small heath have finally put the last nail in the coffin. cheers randy.

villanick

1.) 30 Apr 2016 20:36:44
with the real damage already done I wouldn't worry villanick, I'm already looking at next season along with most Villa fans. With a new owner on the horizon along with a new manager how can you possibly describe it as the last nail in the coffin? the club will continue through good times and bad and may well find good times sooner than many think. Yes Randy did lose his way over the last few years but he did also do the club a lot of good and that should also be remembered and with the sale of the club who can really say where we will be in five years time.

2.) 30 Apr 2016 21:22:51
I agree mostly.
Yes we are now playing for pride, and that's it.

But. The good Lerner has done?
What exactly?
We are still now picking up the pieces from his glory years backing the disaster that is me o'niel.
If we had had a more consistent owner, of a Doug, for example, we would not be in the championship now, as he wouldn't of sat back and done nothing watching the club fall apart around his ears. He wouldn't of given managers jobs based on false promises.
Yes we gave a great training ground, but what for? As they don't appear to be fit, or training very hard.
Yes we have got to Wembley, but to show what for it? A great semi against Liverpool, I have one of those every morning, doesn't get me prizes either.
We are still here, will be back bigger and stronger than before, but don't for one second think that is because of Lerner, it's inspite of him.

3.) 01 May 2016 05:53:23
Wow, Easy tiger, too much information there fella (and stop showing off! ) (i'm blaming the floride in the water meself! )

4.) 01 May 2016 11:32:23
A scout at villa has told me that the true state of the club behind the scenes is beyond belief. It will all come out once the new owners are in place but how has it come to this. RL gave us all hope only to gradually starve all connected with the club of money ideas and ambition. Fans staff players alike treated with contempt. Please make this stop I can't keep waking up every day hoping that has all been a really bed dream. Last night I even dreamt that Mr Potato Head is favourite to get the job as manager. Stop the ride I wanna get off😩.

5.) 01 May 2016 12:01:44
with a bit of luck jam dog, the ride is just about to start!.
All we have to do is wait for the crap to get off the track! With a little good fortune, and god knows we deserve some, that cheap is about to sell!

6.) 01 May 2016 12:16:25
*crap

30 Apr 2016 16:58:36
I'd have put my house on it deeney scoring the winner, just about some up the season, bunch of pathetic jokers. the sooner they are all shipped out the better.

I think this Eric black needs to go back to alex ferguson who he apprantly learned his trade off and ask him to give him some pointers on how to pick a team, because he is scared stiff to drop certain players.

He probably works on the turnstiles villa82,thats why he wants everyone to keep going so he won't be out of a job. Either that or he is Remi Gardes brother-in-law.
