I know guesand got the first goal but I really really don't rate him hopefully he comes good and proves me wrong but I just can't see it. Too slow and clumsy for me

Agreed on current form, but different players have different adjustment timelines. If Emery is seeing something in him to make him think he's worthy of game time then fair enough.even though I think it's fair to say not many fans see it right now and understandably so. Hopefully this Allyson lad injects a bit of attacking bite on that wing because, as several of us have pointed out, it's our quality in the final third that could end up costing us a really good opportunity this season.but i hope, as Rogers have, a few manage to play their way in to form.
Good away win in the grand scheme of things though and puts us in a solid place now.

Certainly not a great moment, but our goalkeeper was the least of our problems in that first half.
Some harsh words will be said in that dressing room, at least I'd expect so.

I mean, I agree Guessand is struggling a bit so I understand the frustration on thet front, but tonight just goes to show what happens when fans stick with the team, even after a poor first 30.
Some of the comments below on here at the first hint of adversity are genuinely a shambles.

He got caught out for their second though, he lacks pace and got caught in no man's land. That isn't a criticism, I think he is one of the most improved players this season, I just think that the Pau love in is a wee bit over the top.

I have and will always say pace is an essential ingredient for a top class premier league central defender pluffy, obviously distribution is the best part of his game and he did ok last night, if we have ambitions to win the league over the next few years along with Mings he will be one on the list to replace as a regular starter and Emery knows that.

Hi Scott couldn't agree more, you really need some pace at the back especially if you are going to venture upfield.
If Torres had that speed I think that goal wouldn't have happened, but as I said I do think he has improved from last season with his passing and vision.

Nice to see you are all seeing what Torres offers I have been saying it for ages yes he might not be the strongest at defending but it’s like having another midfielder on the pitch when he steps up and sprays the balls around

Never doubt Emery world class manager I don’t think guessand and bizot should be near the team. Brilliant from the star boy pau again stepping up the pitch been aggressive spraying those passes nice to see Watkins get a couple hopefully he’s back to his best now. Think that was clever of Emery not starting him last game to say tonight you prove yourself again
