Well well well another start from the one everyone loves and guess what another mistake there is a reason why pau plays all the big games what a massive massive mistake. Up till that moment thought he was playing well and was going to post how he looks solid but then again look at the opponents. Hope Ollie is ok!

Pluffy, Tom is blinkered where Torres is concerned, Mings is an accident waiting to happen far too often, but Torres is no better and has no pace and is poor in the air, that's why it's essential we get a quality central back asap

Agree, we need some pace to stretch the defensive line.
Good goal by Watkins though tbf but other than the chance after 2 minutes we haven’t worked the keeper enough.
Might be a good game to bring Sancho on but I worry about his work rate.
Let’s see how Forest react, can’t be as passive 2nd half surely?

Watkins is so important for us I agree he hasn't been at his best this season but he always works hard never giving defenders a moment rest mallen isa better finisher for sure but Ollie has to start every week

With neither player being in the top 10 goalscorers in the league, same with Gyokeres.
Of course whomever plays in that spot will score some goals, you're still being wilfully ignorant to the actual point I was making.
Yesterday's match was the perfect example, not for the first time this season. Malen had more goals from that position across all competitions, but the whole team suffered because without the goal, he brought nothing else to the team.
In just over half hour we had around 10 times the number of shots as the first 60 minutes. The other aspects to Ollies game brought the best out of the players around him, it just helped that he also benefitted with the end result of the goals.

I'm just not sure we do have wingers though, we're shoehorning players into those positions.
As much as Emery doesn't play a winger system, he still preferred the likes of Nico Williams to operate those positions.
We have Guessand who is a striker playing on the right, Emery likes to play Malen up top as well, mainly as a sub against tired defenses. Rogers and Buendia are both 10s playing on the left to accommodate others.
If we're sending both Elliott and Sancho packing then we either need to bring Bailey back or find another versatile option.
Rumours are that Juve have decided David isn't for them, but seems like they want to use him in a swap deal.
Personally I think a defender is the priority over a striker. Lindeloff has done well but Mings is struggling to get fit and Pau has started to pick up niggling injuries a little too regularly.

He couldn’t miss cash put it on a plate for the not sure what there keeper was doing fact is against a better opposition that will not happen. Against a better opposition everytime mings gets the ball they will press him as they know he will make a mistake there is a reason every set of fans that come to villa park sing about him been rubbish they don’t do that about good players.

Ollie offers so much more than goals he chases everything down from the first whistle and never stops making runs in behind. If he scored every chance he got he wouldn’t be playing for Aston Villa. UTV
