Given that when we signed Barkley on loan we were also interested in his teammate, Loftus-Cheek, does anyone now think we have made the wrong decision?
Loftus-Cheek instrumental in Fulham's change in form whereas Barkley appears abject, unfit, bereft of any ideas and is clearly part of our current problems when he's on the pitch.

He was good when he came but he’s a shadow of that now, my brother in law is mad Chelsea fan he said he has 1 good game in 4 at best. lots of bad players in the premier league at the moment take willian Jose yesterday did he even touch the ball the whole time he was on the pitch, compare him to what Ollie done yesterday and I find myself thankful of the players we signed permanently this year.

It’s such a weird one with Barkley, looking at his running stats earlier, he’s top 2 nearly every game for miles covered etc, but he has no effect. He looks uninterested but his stats show the opposite, I think he’s just severely out of form, and potentially very over rated. We saw some of his performances for us have been brilliant, but maybe that’s the best there is, and he can’t do it week in week out. Even say the Leicester game, he was largely a passenger, but his one moment of magic got us the win. But if we can rely on that at least every other game, at a minimum, then what’s the point having him in the squad.

Plus he doesn’t fit in at Villa, he actually uses both feet😂.

To be honest whatattack I haven’t seen any pundits talking about him being a bargain or anything along them lines.

Alex Scott ripped him a new one the other week, she had obviously done her research and spoke about how frustrated the fans are getting with him and how despite Smith giving him ample opportunity he just isn’t taking it.

It would take something seriously special from the rest of the season for us to be interested.

Just yesterday read an article from frank McAvennie, 35 million bargain was the headline it’s on news now, read another of the same ilk from a different bloke who I can’t remember his name in mid week. hence my post lol.

Agree it’s mostly bs but it’s the main source for villa news so we got to sieve through it to find the relevant stuff. are there other sites like it that I don’t know about? In relation to villa of coarse.

When I realised how bad news now was I did find a decent app, you selected what team you wanted and went from there. Best thing was they always included the author in the headline. Got a new phone and haven’t been able to find it since.
