Its early doors, I think people expect us to play like the Barcelona of old, not going to happen overnight but much more assured and can only get better as we get into a groove. Last season we would of lost that Martinez is a calming presence at the back and I think Konsa is an all round better defender than Mings. As for Targett after watching closely I think his main problem is, no matter where it is, watches the ball rather than the player.

When I saw some of the comments at half time, I thought I must have fallen asleep and that we were perhaps 3-0 down.
We won the match for Christ sake, did anybody really think we were going to just blow them away? Not many teams did that to Wilder’s men last season, far from it.
Apart from the penalty save, which was brilliant by the way, Martinez had very little else to do, we didn’t look like conceding. That in itself is a massive positive, there were many occasions last season when we looked like conceding every time the opposition got in our half.
All our debutants did well and the team as a whole kept up a good tempo throughout the match. Some of you though are clearly not happy, I can only think it must take a lot to please you.

My thoughts exactly mark, we did the job, limited them to the penalty and nothing else. More importantly banged on the door until we found a way in, more than we could manage against ten men on multiple occasions last season!

Really happy overall more assured on the ball. no panicking targett probably the only one who was weak. new players definitely an ugrade. konsa is the boy get him a new deal. 3 points against a mosh pit team what's not to like. 👏🏻 Need a new lb tho.

Id hate to see the comments if we lose a game, only negative I seen was targett is the weakest link in defence but it’s only the first game, it’s pretty hard to break down 10 men behind the ball, once we got the goal they were more open as is how it always go’s, 3 debuts were pretty good, super save from emi, next game we have traore to start or come off the bench, plus almost 100% going to have either king or rachica by end of window, Wesley will b back sooner or later that will make our bench look different, if I was to say 1 thing about Deano I might of went with 2 strikers a bit sooner, Ollie and jack came so close to making it 3 nil, if that was the case everyone would b saying how great we were, small margins in football, keep it positive guys utv💪.
