Interesting article on Birmingham live an interview with Christian Purslow this goes some way to explaining our difficulties in the transfer market. Worth a read.

If what's being said is true and we have to country the pennies, West Ham are struggling financially, why don't we see if we could pick up Snodgrass cheaply. Yes he's the wrong side of 30 but bags of experience, loved his time at the Villa and is extremely hard working. If we can't get our preferred targets he'd be an excellent short term solution.

If you read the post properly 82 it said "if true" and wasn't meant to suggest Purslow is telling porkies or otherwise but was my view that with our lack of success this window so far, for whatever reasons, I was suggesting the point that I wouldn't mind Snodgrass back at the Villa.

Moose I agree re Snodgrass and I don’t think he’d cost the earth either.

Classof82 I can’t see what benefit Purslow would get from lying, this article plus the one on FFP strikes me as a perfectly plausible reason for our current issues in the market.
