Daz, as requested just watched the video I couldn’t agree more with both the sentiments expressed in terms of the clubs current predicament and the fantastic e mail that was read out which wonderfully explains the predicament of the majority of premiership clubs outside the so called big six and in fairness football in general. Hopefully plenty more will listen in.

I also watched it along with a couple of Justin's other videos. Brilliant email, unfortunately it's all too sad and can't see anything changing. We obviously have done far better than we should have done breaking through the glass ceiling competing with the big boys and excelling. And that's where the frustrations come from. When you have had the good things in life and sport you never want them to end and foolishly think its a right. That said when you look forward to your weekly excitement watching your team push out entertainment at its very best. Take that away and what do you get, exactly what's happening know. Blame, impatience, unreasonableness biased views unfairness. Unfortunately that's football, for some it's life and death and Mondays at work are a dreaded when you lose. Players don't deliberately play poorly, coaches don't set out to lose games by poor team selection and tactics, however this is one area that can be addressed and this at the moment is where the problem lies as far as fans are concerned. PSR, SCR are all elequantly addressed in the post and Video but nothing is going to change this season. So my hope is that there is a turn round in fortune, with better team selection and our players who are nearly all millionaires earn this with more effort, determination and consistency.Lets start the improvement on Sunday, with VP rocking and more attacking football.

My take from it is the sport we all love is dying Football clubs just cannot compete and I mean Clubs feom all leagues what's the point in having ownership simply cannot spend because of rules that are there to protect the chosen few from being caught.
We as fans of clubs that want the best for our clubs pay our hard earned money to follow them we need a more sustainable way to generate money afterall making money is unfortunately what football is all about now. That email hit home just how much people are falling out of love for this once great sport unless something drastically changes can I see it happening I'm afraid not
RIP Football.

Daz, understand what you are saying, however attendances are still high. Just look at the waiting lists for season tickets. We all thought in the seventies with low attendances football was struggling.players retired and became pub landlords, now they retire millionaires made for life at 35. People have far more disposable income now so football is here to stay and business men and owners are clever they will reinvent themselves.

It’s hard to know what would be the best outcome in relation to taking the shackles off financially, it’s like he said and if given the chance Newcastle would just buy the league with the money they have behind them, that consortium should never of being let buy a premier league team.

I guess the answer is what people determine as acceptable so do you take the shackles off completely and accept that clubs can spend what they want and accept that on the positive side you potentially can compete at the top level, however the downside is clubs are laden with debt and some are taken to the brink of extinction a la Sheffield Wednesday or Morecambe. The PSR/SCR is a blunt tool with no flexibility built in the ceiling should be able to reflect the economic situation so the £105 million needs to move to reflect inflation and it should not be on the wit of people to build in an element that reflects the clubs debt that would make the system a little fairer and actually move towards making more of a level playing field.

I think there should be limits on transfers but also limits on club debt. Just look at Spurs, Man Utd and even Everton they have all been very active in the transfer market but they all have debt of nearly £1 billion. How can you tell a club that has no debt but a lower revenue not to spend when high debt clubs can still spend a fortune.
