Heard about kyle naughton coming to villa for about 5million upwards

1.) So that's 3 left backs that Lambert has bought in 18 months. 3 lots of wages and 3 transfer fees to satisfy one position
The wage reduction policy seems to be working well

2.) Naughton's a right back!!!

3.) He can play either right or left back, and he is better than Luna and bennet combined

4.) Naughton is a solid enough right back, but terrible at left back. We already have Lowton and Bacuna who can do a job there. 5 Mil is way too much for him. We could spend that on a decent midfielder.

5.) My point is more about the folly of our transfer policy. Bennet and Luna were both gambles which have not paid off. We now have to replace them because neither are good enough. Plus we have no chance of selling them on

6.) Naughton was a left back at Blades, with Walker at right back Spuds bought them both from under our noses when they were first noticed.

9.) I scour the papers and the tv for any news or rumours that we are about to sign anyone in the January window but every day it's the same - nothing. How long is Lambert going to dither about before he gets his finger out?
Having said that it is a fact that so far not one other Premiership club has yet signed a player in this window, unless I've missed something.

12.) I'd be very happy with a point tonight and I would think it's probably the best we can hope for. Having said that, three would be very nice!
