Expect Villa to make a move again for Sinclair.
I reckon he will possibly come on loan first.
I am certain we will get more in before Mondays deadline.

Sinclair deal as good as done, the demba ba interest is concrete but I doubt this will happen, however if we can hijack alli from Newcastle would a step in the right direction, good english talent with a bright future

Aston villa will be sold within the next 2 months. Deal agreed and just the paperwork stuff being sorted as we speak. This is why Delph has had a u turn and vlarr will do the same next week. The future is bright at the villa. The gillian group are the new owners deal around 130 mil. Lambert will be kept on along with Mr Fox and give the summers window with money to prove himself.

Some good news in that Delph has signed a new 41/2 year contract. Now Cleverly can go back and perhaps Lerner might give PL some money to spend.
Regardless of what some say, Lambert has signed several good names, but yes, some lead legs have also arrived and gone.

I can't believe some of the players we do not look at or are not linked with. Especially given Lambert's past. Dortmund have a great youngster, Jonas Hofman, who I knew was going to be loaned out this season. Scored a cracking goal against Bayern last season, and he's out on loan, but we never made a move. Right now I reckon we should be taking a look at Jack Cork. He was brilliant last season, and though he can't get in the Southampton side at the minute they are THIRD, he'd be a great contribution for us. Likewise, how is it we've never made a move for or taken a look at Marko Marin. He's supposedly on his way to Anderlecht. it may not have worked out at Chelsea, but a German international, we could surely have given him a try.

Why can QPR go try sign players like lass diarra and Alex pato, we should take a gamble on a player like that

Agree6 Disagree4

24 Jan 2015 14:31:26
Not sure I'd want us to do that. Diarra was a great player, but seems a bit past it at this point. I've not paid attention to how Pato's done since he moved back to Brazil, but he had fallen off quite a bit at Milan before he went back. Not sure we want to be taking too many gambles ON players. taking a gamble going in for players who might be tough to bring in is another matter.

27 Jan 2015 08:36:23
must admit as soon as i heard the pato rumour i thought how the hell are we not abe to do tht, think only reason he left ac was a knee injury i picked up and lost abit of pace but still worth a loan gamble maybe

Can't do the deal because we have Lerner for an owner. He will not sanction money to be spent.
We have a manager that has his hands tied behind his back by an owner who doesn't give a .. About AVFC.
However I was delighted to read that Delph named Lerner as one of the reasons he signed the contract. Wonder when he saw him!

Azerbyjan rumours a figure of £225m with Gilln group interested.
Rich list value club at £101.9m. Come on Randy, bite their hands off and get out of AVFC even off they reduce to half the rumoured figure.

Is this a genuine rumour?

Aston Villa CEO Tom Fox is creating a new roll at VP for a director of football to assist P Lambert.
He has created the new role to enhance the development of players, both current and future, so that Aston Villa can fight for a place at the very top of the Premier League. Paul Lambert is expected to stay and assist with Fox's hunt for a professional capable of steering Villa's management on the right course. This follows Fox's recent scouting revamp and is likely to be the next stage of nurturing talent for Aston Villa's future.

Liverpool is readying a bid of £7.5 million for Delph according to mirror. co. uk, but Lambert wants to keep him even though he doesn't want to play for Aston Villa.

I would gladly take the money without a doubt.

Believable16 Unbelievable17

Well I have just heard that Liverpool are interested in buying both Delph and Benteke. Liverpool will attempt to do a deal involving either Balotelli or Rickie Lambert coming to Villa. Also Spurs are interested in Benteke and are willing to do a deal involving Townsend.

Agree3 Disagree18

15 Jan 2015 13:20:50
I think that Rickie Lambert would be a good move, it is certainly more realistic.
Balotelli, I feel that he doesn't want to play for Aston Villa and that his wage demands will be a problem, as he is earning £100k per week.

Heard from my friend at vp that paul lambert will be given at least till the end of the season to turn things around oh an they will be no number 2 coming in as lambert prefers to train the players himself now. Oh and 1 last thing the players are ment to be still right behind him. that's all i know for now

Carles Gil looks to be a done deal.
Fee is believed to be between 4 - 5 million euros.

Believable12 Unbelievable1

This has been confirmed by Willie Ball-ache. €4m 5 year deal. Not confirmed by either club yet.

Agree3 Disagree1

Daily news reporting deal done. Good news!!

Agree3 Disagree0

Willie Ball-ache? WTF? I typed Guillem Balague.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - that might have been changed because he just rips other people's stuff off. We prefer not to give him publicity, he is a whore for it enough.}

I promise never to quote him again. And I will forever refer to him as Willie Ball-ache, made my belly ache laughing.

Agree4 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it's fine mate, you couldn't know. He uses ghost writers a lot, one of them used to edit here and it was him who brought it to my attention that a post on his blog had literally lifted a whole piece I had posted on our Liverpool site and tried to pass it off as his info. Not sure whether it is him or his ghost writers that are doing it, but it is annoying as hell when you see someone taking credit. Sly are the worst for it. I have seen them claim 'Sly sources' for stuff they clearly lifted from others, not just me. For instance they had David Moyes as the next Spurs manager a couple of years back, then I posted on the Spurs site that Levy wanted AVB (who he went on to appoint as I said), within a couple of hours Sly were revealing from 'their sources' that AVB was the favourite and would be appointed. I wouldn't mind if they had credited the site, but they were passing it off as them finding it out and that is annoying!}

Well it looks like he will be signing on Tuesday, he was given glowing reviews on rivista so let's hope he gels quickly, all we need now is 2 wingers who can beat a player and cross a ball, still interested to see how the Januzaj links will develop as nothing will happen while not so cleverley is still with us, if he wants to go to Everton let him do 1

Agree4 Disagree0

Issue with agent fee halting things for a bit. Will still go through though.

LFC rumoured to want Delph & Benteke for a joint £22.5m.
Should they be allowed to go?
Would Lerner give the money to be used in the transfer market or put it in the bank?
We have performed no better with them both playing so what is too lose?
At present it looks like most of the players seem to have accepted that the championship looms and are playing like a div1 side.
There is not a manager available in UK that could alter the position so where "if" it comes to it will Lerner get another puppet?
Possibly in the States he will find a person willing to work under the restrictions that he has imposed on PL. , cheap, free or loans are all they can expect.
Only 3weeks for any action to be taken. Hold your breath time again!

Believable3 Unbelievable9

I agree with letting Delph go but Big Ben no, benteke has been starved of the ball no quality crosses or passes in my eyes lambert should go we are the best league in the world would lambert be in the top 100 mangers in world no hope, I know learner is as much to blame but lambert has had quite a lot of windows to get a playmaker in and failed big time braught in cleverly to do that and then not play him that position doesn't make sence, drops Hutton for no real reason the chap comes back and is one of our best players this season the only reason Hutton was dropped from the lambert came in was because he was an x rangers player he has done so much wrong keeps playing inzobia he wouldn't get into a poor championship team the way he is playing, it's endless Lamberts faults

Agree6 Disagree2

I'd like Mr Fox to stand in front of a group of fans and repeat his european expectations again as we are so far and away from that level of expectation.

Agree4 Disagree0

Villa will not get more than £15 million for the pair, especially with them out of contract. And don't forget any fee will be paid over 2 years; this is routine for PL transfers.
Can't blame Lerner - why should he pump any more of his own money into the club. But the shame of it all is there is no takeover in the offing. No prospective buyers.
Make no mistake, this is going to be a tricky period for Villa. Luckily, there are 4 or 5 poorer teams than Villa in the PL.

Agree1 Disagree6

Hi Fatdave.
Benteke has over 3years left on his contract mate so would command far more than 15mil on his own.
I agree with you about Lerner.
The point about 4 or 5 teams being poorer than us I don't think so, we are shocking at best.

Agree3 Disagree1

Good grief Dave we are both on the same ship and rowing in the same direction. I am unable to name one club worse than AV.

Sources in Spain are suggesting that Scott Marshall (part of PL back room staff) was spotted in A Coruña to watch the fixture between Deportivo vs Bilbao on Jan 3rd, allegedly to watch Unai Lopez a 19 year old no 10 likened to Munain. AN exciting player who would take the PL by storm, in a couple years

I've seen him play when I was in Spain he was nothing spectacular but could easily slot into the category of young talent who has been likened to David silva and iniesta however he is not of the same calibour in my opinion. However given time, and if we were to try to sign him (doubtful) he would try and take men on and give us a spark

If this is the case, I think this is good business as we been crying out for a decent wing man since ashley young. My only doubt is that Lambert won't be able to motivate him back to his good swansea days
