Clearly Vlaar has been urged to reject Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Southampton's £8 million interest in January by his teammate Weimann.
And according to itv.com Crystal Palace could make a bid for Bent.

any thoughts about the rumour about scott sinclair?

I would be happy if Scott Sinclair came to Aston Villa, since he can score goals and he would barely cost anything.

Hi ed
Is the any transfer rumours for the villa or we not doing any business in January?
Thanks

{Ed002's Note - Aston Villa's nterest in Danny Ings will go nowhere but a deal for Werder Bremen's Zlatko Junuzovic could well be completed in January. Fulham’s Lasse Vigen Christensen is perhaps one for the summer.}

Hi Ed.
Sorry to be a pain mate, how confident are you that a deal for
Zlatko Junuzovic can happen, and has any contact been made.
He looks to be a tidy player, and very direct.
I don't know much about him to be honest.

Agree5 Disagree4

{Ed002's Note - I have no sensible way of measuring confidence. WB are aware of interest and the player is open to a move.}

Yeh that's the same as what I have been reading.
Thanks for that Ed

Anyone else think Lambert should try and get in Alan Irvine in as ass no. 2??
Obviously hasn't worked out at the baggies for him but that was his first managerial job and all iv heard is how much of an amazing first team coach he is. Can't be worse than having no number 2?

Great shout OBsoldier

Januzaj avaliable on loan in January anyone think we should move for him? I think he would offer a lot of what we don't have for the rest of the season to move us completely safe.

personally rather we sorted back end out first but think he could be a good signing when he's fit

Agree5 Disagree8

I tend to agree with Villatid
Our problem is scoring goals rather than letting them in. We are losing games by the odd goal rather than sustaining large beatings
If we have money to spend in January it should be on the attacking third

Think Mendax has got it completely right, only conceded a set piece against a full strength Swansea and 1 against United, we need reinforcements going forward and that should be the priority!

As well as keeping hold of what we already have I.E. Delph and Vlaar

Agree5 Disagree1

28 Dec 2014 08:45:52
Delph and Vlaar should be sold instead of leaving for free in the summer.

Januzaj would be a decent loan, and signing Pazzini permanently would be great in my opinion.

If we manage to hold on to Vlaar and Delph and finish in the top half, I belive they would sign a new contract. But I also see where your coming from, if we don't cash in now we run the risk of loosing them for nothing in the summer.

Rather than the januzaj loaning let's start giving grealish a chance!! Absolutely first class today looked our only threat and that's with benteke in the team.

Agree7 Disagree7

I'd play them both mate
Benteke upfront with Januzaj one side and Grealish the other; add an attacking midfield player and we'd be sorted
No, scrub that. Because whoever we had, Lambert would persist with Nzog and Weimann

Agree3 Disagree1

28 Dec 2014 21:01:28
Couldn't agree more mendax. Lambert needs to leave and let someone else take over that has even just a little bit of common sense. Anyone with a brain can see grealish is a level above Weiman and gabby but lambert as you say will persist on playing them unfortunatly :(

Agree2 Disagree4

I agree mendax, we need to invest in a number 10 player a young and fit Joe Cole type. Also another forward player who can finish, Gabby is at best a squad player and Weiman is just not good enough, works hard but very wasteful. Zog is a complete and utter let down every game, time to give Grealish a run also Bacuna looks lively and should get a chance

Report states that Pool want Delph to take over from Gerrard.
Would Gerrard do us any good if we could do an exchange?
Delph will show his "loyalty" by waiting till the summer before walking out of VP which means that we get sweet f. a. for a player that we have nursed through several injuries.

Believable10 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - I would think there would be about zero chance of an exchange.}

Hi Oldvillan.
Have you been on the pop already ha ha.
I think Delph will go in January mate, as soon as some club comes in let him go and get rid.
Delph is not the difference between staying up or going down, trust me

Agree5 Disagree2

The ed states that Delph is holding out till the end of his contract. See his reply to you below.
I am simply asking a question, not making a statement.
If you don't try you don't know!!

Agree1 Disagree2

And I am pulling your leg Oldvillan.

I Understand what people are saying about him holding out, all I am saying is get rid ASAP.
If he wants out shove him out.
He has shown his worth and it is not good enough.

Agree3 Disagree6

I think we have to resign the fact both will be gone at the end of the season, I would love to see them stay but it's not going to happen, I think we should sell in Jan and try and get as much cash as possible for them and hopefully reinvest that cash in bringing in replacements. Also others have stepped up to take over from them namely Okore and Sanchez

Agree14 Disagree1

Okore and Sanchez are getting better with every game, both will be absolute beasts next season!
We should cash in on delph and vlaar in jan and splash the cash on sigurrdsson from Swansea! Is exactly what we need - creative flair and goals from midfield

Agree17 Disagree0

Wozdilla and OBsoldier, I agree with you both.
Spot on.

I think after Sundays performance Sanches looks as if could be a realy good player that's the best midfield display in 2 yrs I have seen from a villa player, we need to speed up our passing and get it quicker to the the strikers but PL will bring back Westwood who slows it down and can only pass sideways, oldvillian this is not a dig at PL

Hi Ed

Any news on the rumour circulating at the moment about spuds and Villa.
Delph out Dembele in.

Believable1 Unbelievable11

{Ed001's Note - as far as I can find out, Delph is holding out until the end of his contract and Dembele is not interested in a move to Villa.}

Thanks for your feedback Ed.

How can anyone Disagree with me
for thanking Ed.

Paul Lambert is watching the progress of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg of Bayern Munich.
This would be a good move if a deal could be struck for a loan.
A bit young at 19 but if your good enough your old enough and he doe`s look quality.
I would like to see this come off, maybe with a bit of luck.

Aston Villa, Sunderland and QPR are interested in securing Giampaolo Pazzini in January.
AC Milan is interested in offloading the striker on loan.

He looks like a good player, who scores a lot of goals.
