Smoke and mirrors down at villa park again. AM saying quiet January but it will be anything but. Central midfield and a wide man who can cover both flank. Expect one of Carrick, Dempsey or tim Cahill. Barnetta is almost tied up for January. Villa have also expressed an interest in Chamakh on loan with a view to buy in the summer. Arsenal are very keen to move him on and have touted him to many sides in the premier league. Villa interest hinges on either heskey or bent leaving in January. The villa board will back AM significantly as they are convinced by him.

heard gabby abonglahor is going everton in the january, i know we are linked to fellaini but don't know if thats part of the deal, i rekon its more likely just 5/6 million straight deal for gabby, heard anything ed?

Hey Ed; any truth in the rumour that the Villa is being bought out by the Qatari Fund that bought and currently own PSG? If true, would that put available transfer funds in the same stratosphere as Citeh? Will they retain AMcL? {Ed001's Note - I don't believe that they can do so.}

Sporting Lisbon striker Yannick Djalo has revealed he is joining Aston Villa on loan next month.
The Portugal international has posted a message on his Facebook page that states: 'I go to Aston Villa.'

The 25-year-old has barely played this season as a move to Nice on transfer deadline day was not ratified by Fifa as they said it was not completed in time.


Everton have also shown interest but Villa have put a deal in place. Villa manager Alex McLeish is also keen on Newcastle midfielder Danny Guthrie, who is set to leave in January.
The 24-year-old is frustrated at his lack of game time. Villa have also been monitoring Darron Gibson's return to fitness at Manchester United while Everton have asked to be kept informed about Marseille midfielder Lucho Gonzalez.
