We need at least three signings before the window closes. A new right back, Hutton is the obvious choice, a CM, Gibson has been linked and wouldn't him as well as Hargreaves on a pay as you play deal. Up top we need a target man. No idea who but Bent offers goals and Agbonlahor offers pace, now we need someone who will offer us height but NOT Crouch.

Villa are interested in Owen Hargreaves as Makoun is close leaving on a season long loan with a view to buy. Also Allan Hutton has been in close talks with Tottenham and McLeish over a potentially move. Also a move for Huddlestone is being considered but it depends on whether Tottenham sign Scott Parker. A move for Benayoun has been delayed to see whether he'll be made as a makeweight in the Luka Modric deal with Chelsea.

mcleish has registered an intrest in chelseas benayoun as he is available, could be the answer to our creativity we lack in midfield.

Villa are reportedly working against the clock to push the transfers of Rod Fanni, Scott Dann & Craig Bellamy through before the transfer deadline, Zapata from Villarreal has also been looked but nothings expected to come of it unlike the other 3.
