Apparently Lambert is mulling over a £6 million bid for Stewart Downining to come back to B6.
In my opinion, I'd have any ex Villa player back par Downing.

Rumours going around that Villa are after Micah Richards, would we require another defender? I personally don't believe we need him. I think we need to add some midfield quality now.

I'd love to see Scott parker or barry come in but let's face it we won't be able to meet their wage demands. Quote me if I'm wrong but Pl hasn't brought any player from another team in the league since he arrived so kind of fed up seeing us linked with premier league players!
I think PL probably acknowledges this is an area that needs strengthening so will probably look abroad.
In total I still think we need another 4 more players a cdm, amc a versatile RB and possibly another keeper.

Steel, yes! but he comes across to me as a bit of a hot head and his disciplinary record supports this. Do we really need a liability in the middle of the park? He has no sense of loyalty either requesting to leave qpr before they had even played their last game of the season. Definitely more suitable players out there

No chance of us signing M Richards.
Wasn't impressed with M'bia last season, seemed to make a mistake everytime I saw him. Better players available IMO

Richards is on about 80k a week at city, so unless he's feeling charitable can't see him coming to VP.
