Why would they leave there clubs and millions they get to come to us! I think you will find we are starting at the bottom, going back to basics with the good, but not spectacular players we have and will sign this summer. This season we will consolidate, gain respect and then attract better quality players. The history and name of our club will only carry you so far. We will not pay big wages to pampered pooches any longer. Only arsenal have found success with low wages but over the last few years they are all gone to either city or elsewhere for the money. Good luck to P.L and hope he does well with his low budget signings as we have gone the other way before with M.O.N and yes we had 3good years but at a cost of the last 2 frustrating years flirting with relegation.

We have no chance in getting Ba? Crazy stuff just building up peoples hope, i can't really see any of these players joining maybe adam johnson on loan but would he be interested time will tell.

i can tell you this paul lambert has 2 big signings lined up for aston villa and they will be completed in time for the trip to the states, they have both been to bodymoor heath and have discussed personal terms all is going well with the deals just minor details being ironed out, contract wise, i was at bodymoor heath and saw with my own eyes, demba ba, and yacine brahimi being shown around by paul faulkner and paul lambert, also arriving at villa in the next 2 weeks are simon kjaer, robert snodgrass ryan bertrand loan deal and sinclair from swansea, alan hutton gabby agbonlahor delfouenso james collins will all be leaving aston villa

Lambert won't want Carrol for the same reason Brendan Rodgers donesn't want him, they want to play their way into the box not hoooooooooooof and hope the big man at the front can score.......If he wants a move south send him to West Ham he should fit right in to Big Sams tactics.

paul lambert wants scott sinclair to join aston villa but he will have to have a wage cut to join and i have rumours from swansea that sinclair wants to join up with villa

Why would he need a paycut to join villa? we've just saved 100k a week getting rid of cuellar and heskey

A paycut to join from Swansea who have a wage cap of £15k p/w, are you having a laugh!?

It is true he needs to have a 10k wage cut otherwise villa cant afford him

Scott Sinclair and Ryan Bertrand want to join AVFC, however for ridiculous wages. Apparently Victor Moses and Leighton Baines are being rumoured to be second choice for Lambert.

Baines? the man quoted at £25m by Everton to Man utd? dream on guys!

Sinclar & Bertrand or Moses & Baines? There is a huge quality jump there mate!
