I really think it is time to put things into perspective. We need to be focusing on Villa as a team, finding the right person to take on the managerial role and who can instil some self-belief back into the players. If we do get Steve Bruce we need to forget any association with previous teams, and be pro-active in supporting both him and our team and try to get some much needed wins under our belt. We need some camaraderie back at Villa Park!

If dr. tony gives steve bruce the job is he not doing what randy lerner did giving the job to a blue nose? in fact steve bruce is more of a blue nose as he played and managed Birmingham city? I don't get the rules thousands protested about having a bluenose in charge with mccleish now you are all begging to get another 1? I being villa through and through don't want anything at all to do with birmingham city!

I'd rather not have a ex blues manager know it all. but if you look at it from a buisness point of view he is by far the best guy for the job and that's the way we should look at it. get behind him and the boys once he's announced and he will take us back up.

The pettiness amazes me. You can't base your opinion on a manager because he worked for a rival, many candidates are head hunted from rival business in the real world, but i don't think you live in the real world.

He calls Bruce a Bluenose. I always thought that a bluenose is a person that SUPPORTS Birmingham city.
Bruce supports Newcastle. And managed their fiercest rivals Sunderland.
Yes he was employed by Blues. So was Ron Saunders.
I can't believe we are still debating this in 2016.

IMO this sort of attitude belongs in the Dark Ages.
What does it matter that Geordie Bruce was employed by Blues? He's not a Blues supporter it was a JOB. He's a Newcastle supporter. So what?
When I was a very young supporter we had Trevor Hockey and Geoff Bowden on our books both had played for Blues. So what? Des Brenner and Ron Saunders both left us for Blues. It's a job to them.
IMO Bruce is the perfect man for us.

I'm praying that the new manager can find a way to improve our CM . We've bought good attackers and the defence is slightly improved, goalie apart.
One things for sure though and that is that this club is primed and ready for lift-off!
Good owner, good infrastructure, fantastic supporters- everything is ready.
All we need is a top manager to sort out the formation, buy 2 good CM players in January and we will rocket up this league.
Starting with the Wolves game let's give our boys HUGE support and all will be OK.

Your 100% right it's all there ready, for a real manager, someone who will take control of all football matters from scouts to youth to first team. They will be back financially xia as showed that we just need someone who will tackle it head on! Think best thing they can do is play Jedinak Tshibola and Westwood in the mid against wolves, stop us getting over run in the middle!

We need someone who offers experience of the Championship promotion race. Someone who has been there and done it. Proven to get along with players and gets the best out of them.
Giggs is untried. Let him get his experience somewhere else .

It's no wonder villa are not doing well. when people won't try something new! Yes he's a new manager but the ones with experience we've had so far have done jack all so why not go in a completely new direction.
