Back in the day it took Birmingham (small heath) 14 attempts before they could beat us.
On top of that we have had two very good wins against them 7 - 3 and 6 - 0.
Overall we have played them 122 times, Villa winning 58, drawing 31 and losing 38.
All that said, the stats point to a 1 - 2 victory for Villa, I agree with that but would not be surprised if we win 1 - 3. We are getting better.

Brilliant performance yesterday, everyone in the team had minimum of a decent game. The goal was outstanding, yes a mistake led to it but the keeper was taking liberties all game and we kept pressing him and got our rewards! Ayew and adomah should of wrapped it up but that's the only negative!
Kodja is proving himself to be a real goal scorer and McCormack came on a looked brilliant as usual! Everyone will have opinions of man of the match, ayew has a shout, kodja for his work rate and goal.
either centre back could take it but for me Gary Gardner should have it, was outstanding, youngest lad in there and bossed the midfield, didn't lose a header, calm under pressure, brilliant passing just should have took a shot first time in the second half when he came racing through!
Comes under criticism a lot and last two games he's stood up to the plate, bacuna now being played in what he described when he first signed as he preferred position is like a new man! Two wins back to back for the first time, can't wait to get into them on Sunday!

Since the jumble sale of Small Heath their good start has faltered. I know they slipped against Wolves and bounced back but forest then Burton, could be getting found out. I predict 1 nil villa. After Saturday dilemma for Brucie when Jack's ban is over after the Derby of course!
