Not for me. If we are signing a striker then I want someone who will push Watkins, I don’t think Nketiah is that player.

I actually thought he had more goals last season but his stats when I checked them out were not very impressive, I can’t wait till July and Monchi officially starts his new role, I’m starting to think we won’t have any more incomings until he’s officially doing the job

I think you are probably right Whack. Returning to the striker question I have often championed Patrick Schick as the type of striker who would make a real difference to us, averages nearly one in two over the past 3 seasons in the Bundesliga and at international level to. I didn’t realise until recently that it was Monchi who was responsible for signing him when he was at Roma so personally I hope he revisits Schick and signs him for us.

The issue with a striker is if we go big watkins won't want to sit on the bench and any top striker won't want to sit on the bench either. We in the same place as spurs are with Harry Kane. So keep Archer an duran I say just get wingers a rbk and a top class cbk

We need to get away from this mentality Walkies - I can guarantee you Emery is not worried about putting players noses out of joint and I'd be absolutely amazed if any of the squad would be disgruntled if we sign elite players - Good players want to play with other good players and we will have (potentially) a huge volume of games next season where the squad will be leveraged. This notion that we can't sign X because Y won't want to sit on the bench has to be a thing of the past, we need a squad, game starters and game finishers for each match. Ollie Watkins will sign a new agreement in the coming weeks, he's our main man but I'd be shocked if we don't sign another quality striker to compete and partner him.

I agree BK you can see that with the links to Pau Torres we already have 3 quality centre backs in Mings, Konsa and Carlos in the squad and yet he wants to sign another, he has already said he wants two quality players for every position and so I think he will go big on a forward providing the right one is available.
