It is almost impossible to make a constructive assessment of the shambles that we have witnessed this afternoon.
If Emrie had hung 11 shirts on a close line they would have been better than what we watched on the pitch.
Slow, ineffective and arrogant.
Humbled by a group of players that felt honoured to play at Villa Park but in the end they were the only team that played football. Villa played about.
Knocking the ball around casually, tip tap back and forth. Did we play a long ball at anytime to stretch their defence? No we tried to play a silly style that is not our norm.
Well done Stevenage, you played to the end of 96 mins.

RespectTOV bang on, and the manager must shoulder most of the blame, no different to the first half against wolves. If Emery starts Bailey again and i could get a gun i would shoot both of them.

I agree TOV Stevenage thoroughly deserved the win well organised and with what little of the ball they had they made maximum use of it. Now what I am about to say sounds like sour grapes and it is? but re the penalty the shirt tug took place in the d and not in the box therefore should it not have been a free kick not a penalty? I have no quibble with the sending off but a shirt tug anywhere else on the pitch is a free kick so why not here.

I honestly didn't think i would ever feel as bad than I did after our defeat to Bradford in the LC Semi, but this debacle today has left me feeling worse! What a proper disgrace, no passion, no desire, no idea and very little respect for our opponents. We've now not won an FA Cup game since 2016, this season was an ideal opportunity to go far but its season over in January yet again. Its so disappointing it really is, i though we would use a couple of the youngsters today but have mainly the first choice players would start. I just do not understand why in these situations the best team is used, get twonor three up then make changes to rest players? So for me Emery has to shoulder part of the blame and responsibility for the defeat. Some of those in Claret and Blue on that pitch today are just simply nowhere near good enough. Amongst those Olsen, Augustinsson and Dendoncker must surely now be moved on, simply so poor, and must be three of the worst players i've ever seen at B6. Gerrard deserved the sack just for signing them.

There you go again Scotty blaming Emery again. If Olsen boots the ball up field instead of to Dendonker then we win the game. Complacency cost us today.

You can’t blame the manager for that. He picked a team that should be more than good enough to beat a League 2 side.
As for your comment about shooting someone that is totally unacceptable. It’s a football match for Christ’s sake. You need to look in the mirror and give your head a wobble pal.
That said Bailey should either be sold in January or in the summer. Not good enough.
As for Emery, I think he’s got his work cut out with this squad. He’ll need to replace a fair chunk of this squad in the next 2 windows and the owners should back him or sell up.

Of course you can blame the manger, he selecs the team, the tactics and thechanges necessary when things obviously aren't working. Of course he is new and needs time, however any coach who picks Bailey as a starter has to be questioned, you can not play with ten men at this level.

Bailey is the only wide player we have Scot, who would you play instead of him?

Whack Ings and Watkins, that's the way he plays without Bailey on the field, we obviously need replacements but until then Bailey should not start and i have said this ever since we signed him, he simply is not good enough.
