Two games in and the whiners are at it already. So we have a couple of dodgy results and it's all doom and gloom, at present we apparently have a 'bang average' coach in charge and all of us on here are better managers/coaches than a guy who has won numerous trophies REALLY!
Have we got issues yes we have and yesterday's posters summed it up quite well but Emery sees at least what we see he also sees the players everyday in training he will get it right given time and crucially some backing in the market before the 1st of September we need to support him.

It’s not ‘a few dodgy results’. This stretches back well into last season.
Slow build up, lacking intensity and pace. All things that have plagued us over the past 12 months.
If you are happy with the ‘progress’ that’s fair enough but I can tell you many Villa fans have similar concerns.

Am I concerned at the moment not unduly
our season won’t be defined by our first two games. If this continues for half a dozen games or so and we exit early from the League Cup then that may change my view but I have faith in Emery to resolve the issues.

Hardly ever post anymore but LOTM I had to reply to your post - "Whiners"? Mate, we've had 2 poor performances in a row, I don't care that Emery has taken us from relegation threatened to the brink of the Champions League semi-final, I don't care that we have qualified for Europe 3 seasons in a row, I don't care that we have finished 7th, 4th and 6th in the league despite Emery (and the club) competing with one hand tied behind their back financially - Have you seen how we played the past 2 games? Emery deserves to be questioned!

I hope sarcasm comes across in my post as I 100% agree with you - We will be fine, the "whining" demonstrates what I've always said about Villa fans, we don't deserve good things!

Hi Trinity, Villa actually won 9 of the last 12 games last season, I think I would settle for the same win ratio this season.
I agree at times the football could be better, but we are playing other top sides who work on negating the abilities of other teams.
2 games in is not a time to panic, after 12 I might but not now.
