after seeing joey Barton doing well for burnley this season I think an old head in our cm is a must next season. hopefully stan plays a part but I don't think he will be fit enough to play no where near all the games. how about moving for Gareth Barry to come and end his career with us and help us get back to where we should be. I feel he won't get loads of games at Everton and could play every week for us.

GB is one of the best pros and the nicest bloke ever to wear our shirt. Would love him back.

I would never take a player back who walked out on us for money to give the best years of his career to another club, have you gone completely mad. Decisions like that is why the club is where it is, we want fresh hungry players not old timers looking to graze their last few seasons away.

Hi Loyal supporter, Gareth Barry saw what was coming and was courted by the scouser and then city. He went for a better job.
If you were offered a better job you would take it, no doubt.
Before GB went to the Toffees I posted that we should try and get him back to AV and a lot of posters agreed with you but he has been great for them.
Players of his standard should be welcomed back with open arms and even given the arm band.
Some years back we sold Bruce Rioch and on his first return to VP the entire crowd stood and chanted "Rioch the king of Villa Park. "
Sad to lose him but delighted we had him.
Same goes for Barry.

I'm not saying that i wouldn't take a better job if offered oldvillan i am just saying that i would not expect to be welcomed back when my use in my new job was no more, besides that things never seem to work out as well second time around plus he is at the end of his career, personally i would prefer new blood or maybe someone not quite so old.
